Hey guys! Sorry about not updating yesterday I was exhausted because I had to wake up around 7:30 to go take an SAT. When I got back I chilled a little and slept ALL DAY yesterday. I woke up around 6:06 just now and I was shocked that I slept that long. My phone died and now I have to wait for it to reach back to 100%. Great job author.  Here we are back to the next chapter.

Third Person

As the journey continues, the only thing that worries you most is your aunt Rachel's behavior over your difference in the family that triggers her. She HATED your cat ears and tail even when you transform into a cat when you were younger she would never allow you to be on your own at times. It was hard to tell Maddie to know about the fact that aunt Rachel despised your appearance and today was going to be a bad time for a reunion for you and Tom. The both of you arrived in San Francisco to aunt Rachel's address, Tom parked on the sidewalk and rushed out to cover Sonic's body with a blanket like he's a corpse in his arms to carry into the house. You ran over to the door feeling your palms sweating as you rang the doorbell to wait patiently for Rachel to answer. You both heard the door unlock to see that it was aunt Rachel wearing a disgusted look on her face as she saw the two of you.

"No! Not today! Goodbye!" Aunt Rachel yelled.

She tried to shut the door as they fought the urge to get inside the house when Maddie approach the door to let them inside. 

"I am calling the police on these two! I am calling the FBI!" She shouted.

You sighed and rolled your eyes listening to your aunt's warning and Tom begged her not to and she was still furious.

"You and your sister are both lawbreakers. I told you not to trust them." Aunt Rachel said to Maddie.

"We're not breaking the law. We have a bit of a story to tell you." You said.

"Uncle Tom! Y/N!" Your cousin Jojo shouted running to give both of you a warm hug.

"Maddie can we just talk?" Tom asked.

"What is going on? I've been trying to call you two. Your both all over the news." Maddie asked.

"Calm down." You said.

"I will not calm down!" Aunt Rachel yelled.

The whole room was going overboard question after question when your dog Ozzy started barking sensing something under the blanket being carried in Tom's arms. You tried to shoo him away and he instead grabs onto the blanket and yanked it as you fought to gesture him away from it. That's when the blanket was removed as all eyes were on Tom holding an unconscious Sonic.

"Catch me, Jojo." Aunt Rachel fainted on the ground leaving Maddie and Jojo stunned.

"We can explain." You said nervously.

[In The Kitchen]

"Is he going to be okay?" Jojo asked.

"He's going to be okay Jojo," Tom reassured.

Tom placed Sonic on the table so that Maddie could examine him and see what she can do to help him. Previously, after the whole drama scene that happened, you were willing to tie up your aunt so she wouldn't be involved in this whole situation. 

"I don't even know what I'm looking at," Maddie said.

"It's a hedgehog." You and Tom answered.

"It talks?" She asked.

"Almost constantly," Tom said.

"You have to help Maddie." You said.

"I-I don't know his ideology. The good news is he doesn't have any broken bones." She said examing him as you held onto Sonic's hand comforting his unconscious stages. "He's just really banged up."

Maddie went to down to his feet and saw holes underneath even through the socks to see some of his blue furs. 

"Aww, his poor little feet." She cooed as your eyes turned purple.

"Hang in there buddy you'll be alright," Tom said.

"Jojo! Until your mother! Jojo, untie mommy~" You aunt Rachel pleaded.

"I hope she doesn't get out." You mumbled.

"You think he'll be okay, right?" Tom asked.

"Yeah, don't you have like...smelling salt?" You asked.

"No. But, I have human smelling salt in my first aid kit," Maddie said.

"Come on buddy," Tom said hoping that he'll wake up.

"Please work..." You muttered.

The two of you watch Maddie get out a human sauce to place it under Sonic's nose as he sat up immediately energized, "GOTTA GO FAST!" He ran around the room so fast letting go of your hand and went back to where you were panting. "Where am I? What year is it? Is the rock president?" 

"Woah, Woah, Woah! Buddy, you're okay." Tom reassured.

"Oh Hi, pretzel lady!" Sonic greeted.

"Hi..." She greeted awkwardly. 

"Tom, can I talk to you? Alone?" She asked dragging her husband to another room. "Space hedgehog stay right there and try to rest. Y/N watch him." 

"You got it. I am great at resting." Sonic said with a smile on his face after he watches Maddie shut the door behind her and Tom. 

"Sonic..." You spoke up.

"Oh hey Y/N! I'm glad to see you and Tom are okay. Where are we?" He asked.

"We're at my aunt and cousin's place. We're safe and I just..." You said biting your bottom lip holding back tears.

"W-What's wrong?" He asked.

"...I thought I was going to lose you." You sniffled.

"Lose me? No. You'll never lose-"

"No! I mean 'lose' my first friend that I ever had." You said as Sonic smiled a little and put his hand on your cheek wiping away the tears.

"I'm not going anywhere. You're my first friend too." He said with a smile.

You hugged Sonic as he returns the embrace to calm you down when your cousin approaches you two holding something behind her back as you broke away from the hug.

"Jojo? What do you have?" You asked.

"I got him these so that you won't hurt your feet anymore," Jojo said.

She revealed to Sonic with red shoes with a white strap across from them as he smiled at her as he took the shoes from her.

"Really? No one's ever given me a gift before. Got to check it off my bucket list." Sonic said.

You watched Sonic put on his new shoes as did a small pace and dance in them making sure they felt comfortable.

He chuckles, "All right. Looking good." 

"Want a tour around the house?" You asked him.

"Yes." Sonic nodded.

You showed Sonic around the house when you came across Ozzy and watch Sonic looked at him up and down with a smirk. "So, you're supposed to be Tom's best friend that he won't shut up about. I don't see a big deal."

Ozzy began to lick Sonic friendly as he laughed, "Stop! That is very gross." 

"Hey, so, my truck still runs. It's pretty much torn up, so I guess we're going to have to borrow Rachel's car." Tom said.

"That's fine." Maddie shrugged.

"THIS IS MY HOUSE!" Aunt Rachel shouted.
