*insert the whole phone call*
Starring Liam Neeson. Directed by Pierre Morel.
As always this is a non-spoiler review by how neat the beginning looks.
So Jeremy Jahns released a review about this movie that finally nudged me to watch it because it has a retired spy who goes back into action because of bad people. And one of them underestimates him and doesn't know who he's dealing with.
So John Wi-.....I mean Bryan Mills goes and does what he does best.
If you're into these kinds of revenge stories then this will be right up your alley.
It turns out that I have a weak spot for these kinds of movies, if done right of course.
There was tension, the character had a goal and I agree with Jeremy that if there wasn't that certain speech at a phone call, you would have a different feeling to the movie overall.
And when it comes to spoilers, I can't say much because there are people out there who have seen this movie. I mean it's already aged but very well.
It's a movie that played out just like I wanted to. It's what you expect from this kind of story and I wasn't disappointed at all.
Sure, I had a little conflict with Bryan, especially in one scene but on the other hand I don't know if he would have gotten the information he needed if he hadn't done what he did.
The movie was as long as it needed to be, however I wish there were more scenes or just one long yet meaningful scene with Bryan and his daughter so I would have worried a bit more.
Like I was already but I just wanted to see a bit more.
But those are just my thoughts.
Now I saw that it's a trilogy and I'm extremely reluctant to see the second one because I hope it's good and wasn't made because of the first ones success and/or popularity(who am I kidding? Of course it was).
Let me know if it's worth it.
