We woke up early the next morning to find a horrifying sight. I walked out of my tent and there were bears digging through our bags for food. I quietly walked into Mason, Bruno and Anthony's tent and woke them up. "You guys," I began, shaking them roughly, "There are bears digging through our bags"

    Bruno shot up. "What did you say Joanne?" he asked eyeing me.

    I rolled my eyes. "There are bears going through our bags and stuff," I told him.

    He fainted, making me and Antonio laugh. "That bitch went whoop!" Antonio said, imitating Bruno.

    I started laughing so hard, I couldn't breath. "You guys quiet down. If the bears hear us, they will think that we have food in here," Mason said.

    "I don't think so. I think they would probably get scared, or wonder what we were doing," I told him.

    He sighed. "Just stay here,"  he told us.

    He left the tent and we just sat there staring at the opening. After five minutes, I crawled over to Anthony and laid my head on his chest. "Hey babes," he said rubbing my back.

    I smiled. He's so sweet, I thought to myself. "What do you think is going on?" I asked him, sitting up.

    He sat up and shrugged. All of a sudden, Bruno shot up, scaring both me and Anthony. "What happened? Where's Mason?" he asked, breathing heavily.

    I took his hand in my, his pale skin being light compared to my mocha skin tone. I looked into his blue eyes and gave him a big hug. I sat in his lap with a small smile on my face. "You didn't answer my question," he said laughing.

    "Mason went out there," I told him, pointing out the tent.

    I went back to giving him a hug and layed my head on his chest. He sighed and hugged me back tightly. I felt Anthony wrap his arms around us and lay his head on Bruno's shoulder. We sat there for a while. None of us talked. We just hugged.  After a while,  Mason came back in with a couple of scratches on his arms and legs.  "Are you ok?" Anthony asked, getting up from his spot in our hug. 

    Bruno and I let go of each other and got up as well. Mason nodded and sat down on his sleeping bag. "Those bears went away, then a wolf came and I had to deal with that. So that was fun," he said sarcastically.

    I pouted slightly and kneeled down next to him.  I looked at Bruno and Anthony. Anthony sat down in front of us. Bruno hesitated a bit, before sitting on the other side of Mason. I thought I saw something in his eyes. Maybe fear? 

     I shook it off and turned my attention back to Mason. He was carefully examining some of the scratches on his arm. I was about to ask him something when Gabriella and Myst came running in. "What happened? We heard growling and were too scared to go out. We thoought we'd come in here to check on you guys after it went away," Gabriella explained.

    I looked at Myst who was shaking in fear. "Myst," I said, catching her attention.

    I motioned for her to come near me. I went from kneeling to sitting criss cross. She sat in my lap and laid her head on my shoulder. I gave her a big hug and looked back at Gabriella. 'there was a couple of bears going through our bags. So Mason went out to deal with them and then had to deal with a wolf," I said after covering Myst's ears.

    I uncovered Myst's ears as Gabriella's eyes widened. "What? What happened?"  Myst asked looking at me innocently.

    I smiled. "Nothing." I assured her.

    She nodded her head and laid back on me. It wasn't too long before she fell asleep on my lap. The rest of us packed up quietly, but quickly. I picked up Myst and carried her as we walked. Her small snores made me smile. Little did we know, that was the last time that everything was going to be  peaceful and quiet.
