A strong light blinded my vision before quickly disappearing. "Myst! What's wrong?" I heard Bruno ask.

      My eyes widened and I shot up. I looked over to where Myst was standing. She was soaking wet and was trembling. At the same time, she was turning into a real life smurf. I gasped. I looked up at Mason, fear coursing through my veins. "Mason? What's happening to Myst?" I ask, my heart racing.

      He looked at me, his eyes wide open. "The flower. It's taking it's toll on her," he said, his voice shaking.

      I looked back at Myst  who was completely blue. Her breath started to get heavy, as her eyes slowly started to gaze over again. I gasped as she fell to the ground. "Myst!" I yelled, " Are you OK?"

      I ran to her side and kneeled down beside her. Her small body shook violently under me as I checked her pulse. Her heart was still beating and I sighed in relief.  Suddenly her eyes widened and she pushed me back. I looked at the others as she slowly got up. Gabriella  was laughing her ass off while everyone else looked shocked. Zeke and Bruno helped me up and we turned our attention back to Myst. Her eyes had turned red and her skin was royal blue.  She looked angry.  She glared at me before turning her head to glare at Mason. She stomped towards him. "How dare you?" she screamed at the top of her lungs.

     Mason's eyes widened ad he slowly started backing away from her. "Wha - What are you talking about?" he asked, stuttering.

     Myst had Mason backed up against a tree terrified. She clenched her hands into fists. "You know exactly what I'm talking about," she said as her breathing started to get heavier.

      Mason looked at me, his eyes wide open. I shrugged as Myst got as close as she could. Mason closed his eyes and his hands started shaking. "Myst calm down," Bruno said sweetly, trying not to upset her even more, "What's wrong?"

      Myst looked at him, her expression relaxing. Her skin turns back to it's normal peachy color and her eyes go back to normal. She backs away from Mason as a guilty look flashed across her face. "What happened?" she asked innocently before looking back at Mason, "Did I hurt you?"

      Mason opened his eyes and looked at her. After he calmed down, he shook his head. "No, you didn't hurt me," he said with a small smile.

      Myst bit her lip and walked over to Mason. She gave him a big hug before looking up at him with a big smile on her face. "I'm glad I didn't hurt you," she said innocently.

      "Me too," Mason replied.

      I heard Gabriella groan in annoyance behind me. I rolled my eyes as I saw - out of the corner of my eye- Anthony trying to hold Bruno back.  Why is he mad?, I asked myself as I sighed.  "Let's just go before anything else happens," I said as Zeke laughed at the madness around us.

      Everyone started to calm down and we started walking up the hill again. Bruno was asking Mason a million questions while Zeke calmed him down every once and a while.  I carried Myst as she slept peacefully and Gabriella walked behind us.  Bruno turned back to me with a small smile on his face.  "Didn't I get my first boyfriend all on my own?" he asked loudly.

      "Yeah you did all by yourself," I lied.

      In eighth grade Bruno liked this kid in our English class. His name was Jackson and he wasn't the cutest kid in our class, but he wasn't the ugliest either. He was tall with brown eyes and short brown hair. His nose was crooked and he had full lips. Bruno was set on asking him out. The morning before he did it, I talked to Jackson and blackmailed him into going out with him. Bruno was super excited when he had said yes. Which is why I felt so bad when they had brken up a couple months later. 

      Bruno turned back to Mason with a huge smile on his face. "OK i don't want to talk about this anymore," Mason  said, obviously annoyed. 

      I laughed as Mason and Bruno start arguing back and forth over who has had crazier ex-boyfriends. I heard Myst groan as she lifted her head off my shoulder. "Good morning sleeping beauty," I teased as she rubbed her eyes.

       She glared at me and stuck out her toungue. I laughed and put her down. She  stumbled a little bit before stiffining her back and starting to walk. "Hold on there solider," I said with a small laugh.

      She stopped and turned around pouting. Everyone else was watching from where the stood. "Grab your stuff. I'm not going to carry it for you the entire time," I said, handing her stuff to her.

      She grabbed her stuff, turned around, and ran up the hill to Bruno. She hid behind him before poking her head out from behind him and sending a glare in my direction. Anthony laughed before starting to walk up again. After a while, Gabriella started to hum "Rolling In the Deep" by Adele.

      What's wrong with her? I wondered as she got to the chorus.

      Gabriella always hummed to herself or sung when there was something bothering her. I decided to wait until we had set up camp to ask her. We were getting the fire stated and I found Gabriella sitting by herself outside of our tent. She was humming to herself again. "Hey Gabby," I said with a small smile on my face.

      She looked up at me and sniffled slightly. She waved at me before looking back down at her shoes. I sat down next to her and took her hand. "What's wrong?" I asked.

      She looked back at me, her eyes filled with tears. I wiped a stray tear and smiled at her. "Come one, you can talk to me," I said, nudging her a little bit.

      She giggled a little bit before sighing. "It's just that I miss home and I feel really bad for yelling at Bruno the way I did," she explained, " I want apologize, but  I'm scared that he hates me"

      I sighed and squeezed her hand. "He doesn't hate you. He's just hurting," I assured her, "It'll be OK. Just go talk to him."

      She looked over at him with a sad smile on her face. "Go," I said pushing her off the log we were sitting on.

      I laughed as she glared at me before standing up. She walkd over to where Bruno and Mason were standing before looking back at me. I nodded and motioned for her to talk to him. She turned back around and tapped Bruno on the shoulder. I could see them talking before Bruno started to smile. I got off the log and headed into the tent where I found Myst reading. "Hey Myst," I said.

      She looked up and smiled. "Hi! How is everything?" she asked, climbing into my lap as I sat down.

      I looked at her and gave her a kiss on the forehead. "Perfect," I said, "Everything is perfect"
