Thalia

Thalia wraps one arm around the trunk of her old tree and her other hand is secure around her bow. The stash of arrows on her back moving as she swings once around the tree.

"Head into camp." She coughs as she noticed all the hunters were watching her. They shuffle pass her and head pass the camp borders. Thalia stays a little longer placing her forehead to the bark of her tree.

She takes a small breath and pushes away and walks down the hill toward the camp fire. As she approached she can here the Apollo cabin singing to some terrible camp songs.

A few campers had their hands over they ears and another mumbles, "Some one take my dagger and end my torture."

The fire was warm and bright and so were most of everyone spirits. Thalia smiled partly and then a shadow looms over her. She looks up to see Chiron, stroking his beard.

"By the look on your face and stoke of your beard, something happened." Thalia cocked one dark eyebrow challenging him to shoot her answer down.

"Exactly." He gave a curt nod of his head away from the camp fire and Thalia wordless walks away.

But the winds have picked up her shirt hair nipping at her face. She shrugs it off and follows Chiron, "What's wrong?"

"I was going to ask you." Chiron replies, "Your Lady Artemis is not with you."

"She hasn't been for three weeks." Thalia said the winds getting stronger and stronger by the second, "Decided to come to camp. How have things been here?"

"They could be better." He looks over at the campfire, "We're having less monster attacks and things are returning to normal. Except-"

"Wait." Thalia pinches the bridge of her nose, "I heard they were rumors of a next great prophecy are they true?"

"Yes and it concerns you, Thalia." His gaze locked to hers, "You are apart of the next Great Prophecy."

Thalia stiffens up just as the wind becomes too much. She was knocked to the ground as were most of the other campers. An Iris message appears before Chiron and Percy was at the center of it.

Thalia raises her head just to see something blue expand across the sky with a darker shade of blue in the center of the disk.

"A portal." Chiron said to himself as Thalia pushes herself up and slowly walks toward it. Everyone was slowly recovering her fellow hunters had three arrows knocked into place ready to let them fly.

Thalia held up her hand and they lower their bows the wind had gone down but it was still strong. But what happened next Thalia didn't except, a teenage boy fell out the portal. He landed softly but he still groaned. His black hair a huge contrast to the green grass.

"Wait." A girl said with a hot pink streak on her head and Thalia remains still but her eyes follow her, she runs to the boy and screams and embraces him, "Oh gods! You're alive John!"

Then one by one more people start to come from the portal their were happy tears and lots and lots of screaming. Even one of the hunters were crying she got back her brother. Their faces wet with tears. Thalia partly smiles seeing everyone even more happy.

'He can be one of them you know?' her minds whispers and she shakes her head clear of the thought.

"He choose rebirth." She softly mumbles to herself as she stares toward the ground. She decided to walk back to Chiron but looked over and saw an IM shimmer then disappear.

As she turns back she noted a certain boy with an eye patch looking very disorientated and confused. Ethan. He landed far from the other campers did and he blinked and lays back.

Thalia slings her bow across her back over her arrows and walks toward him. She was half way there when a weight comes crashing down on her and they are both send sprawling to the ground.

She feels their breath tickle her ear as she involuntarily exhales. They groan and push themselves up before Thalia can ask them to get up. Their necklace had five beads strung across the leather material.

"Hey can you-" As she looks up to a pair of soft blue eyes and the words die in her throat leaving her breathless.

"Thalia?" He said his his sandy blonde hair sweeping over his eyes slightly.

'This can't be Luke.' She told herself but she couldn't deny it. It was him. His hair and eyes and the scar that ran down his face except he was younger.

"You." She said barely above a whisper and placed two hands on his shoulders and shoves him off of her. She brushes herself off and tries to distance herself from him.

"Wait!" He calls after her as she walks into the night her hand resting over her hunting knife, very temped to use it on him.

Thalia stops her chest rising and falling rapidly, "Stop following me."

"You dropped this." He said and she turns her head looking over her shoulder at him, he didn't step any closer but his arm was extended her sliver tiara in his grasp his next words came out softer, "You are a Hunter of Artemis."

"The Lieutenant." She said her voice never dropping and never rising as she grabbed her tiara and fixed it on her head.

"Why?" He said quietly as she looked away from those eyes that haunt her nightmares.

"That's none of your concern." She said harshly turning her back on him and continues to walk in the direction she was heading before he stopped her.

"Can you just let me explain?" He said as he jogs along side her, trying to keep pace with her long strides.

"No." She growled and feels the electricity in the air and even darker storm clouds form over head but she keeps marching forward.

"Please." He grabs her hand spinning her to face him and she sneers and yanks her hand from his, "Thals I'm-"

"Don't you dare." She said taking a few steps back and her back presses up against something rough to the touch. She doesn't have to turn around to know she ran smack into her pine tree.

"I'm sorry." He said just as a bright light crashes down slightly rattling the earth slightly and Thalia blinks hard and swears. She just accidentally called down a lighting bolt.

Luke dogged the bolt but his right arm had blood running down staining his jeans, he had landed way on the other side of the border, Thalia walked over, "I-I didn't mean for that to happen."

"I know you didn't." He said squeezing his arm tighter as she took off her My Chemical Romance T-shirt revealing her black under shirt. She ripped it to rags and tied them around his arm.

"That didn't go how I dreamed it would." Luke said and Thalia rest on the back of her heels staring into his eyes.

"You are alive." Thalia spoke slowly her voice devoid of emotion.

"Yeah. Except I don't know how." He ran his good arm through his hair that was slightly longer then she had remembered it.

"It's the biggest curse I can have ever revived having you back." Thalia said frowning and his face dropped like a stone a shadow overcasting his features.

"And the biggest slap in the face is coming back and you've joined the Hunters." He said his voice hard and Thalia's eyes narrow at the boy before her, "I don't know you hate me that much."

Thalia opened her mouth to tell him she didn't hate him but closes it standing up and looking over the camp the portal was growing smaller and smaller.

"Answer me one question," Her sharp gaze once again turned to him, "Why did you join the army of Kronos? Do you know what destruction that caused Annabeth and I?"

His eyes widen and his voice was very quite like he was whispering to her a secret, "I hurt you didn't I?"

"That doesn't matter." Thalia said looking down at her shoes, "I don't care about my emotions."

"But I do." He said loud enough so that Thalia could hear and she scowled, "But can you answer my question?"

"But you haven't answered my question." She said with a small smirk tugging at her lips and as he is about to respond but someone places a hand on her shoulder.

"Lieutenant," A Hunter said as she shoots Luke a look full of poison, "Chiron has requested to see you."

"Thank you I'll be right down." Thalia said as she runs back down to everyone else while Thalia looks back at Luke, "Are you coming?"

"I'm a traitor remember? Gave my body as a host to Kronos people died lots of people died because of me." He said as Thalia takes small steps and kneels before him, "I hate myself for it."

She places a hand on his shoulder and he freezes under her touch,"Luke just come back to Camp."

"I can't show my face down there."

"Do you want me to drag you to Camp or-" Thalia starts but something shifts in the shadows something very large. Her tree was a good twenty feet behind them thanks to the lighting bolt.

Luke felt it too, because he slowly raises his head his blue eyes darken and he mouths, 'Monster?'

'Yeah.' She mouths back as they slowly get to there feet and face the monster which was just their luck a large scaly Drakon slithering toward them it's eyes on the two halfbloods.

Thalia handed her knife to Luke and he took it and held it ready to attack but the Drakon stuck first. It raises from it's belly to high in the sky it's tongue black as the night directed toward Luke. Thalia opens up Aegis and steps in front of Luke.

The Drakon recoils back and Thalia turns her head to Luke, "Run!"

He grabs her hand just as something wet wraps around her ankle causing her to bite her lip, it burned. She looked down and it was the Drakon's tongue wrapped around her ankle, "Great-"

She was ripped from his grasp and was dangling high above the air. Thalia closed her eyes not wanting to see the ground again and tried to call down some lighting. The Drakon however had other plans.

Thalia eyes snap open as she it thrown even higher into the air the Drakon's tongue not wrapped around her ankle anymore. But as she looked down the ground was coming closer and closer.
Then the burning was back around the same ankle.

The Drakon was toying with her. Her hand goes to the spot she keeps her knife but she gave it to Luke. And her bow and most of her arrows had fallen out. She concentrated on the electricity in the air and call down some lighting.

The Drakon howls in pain and releases it hold on Thalia who is falling toward the ground. She braces herself for impact but it never comes, when her vision clears she looks up to see Luke.

"How-" She asked but looks down even more and saw they were in her tree.

"The Drakon kinda threw you like a rag doll." He said and sits her down on a branch.

Looking through the web of branches she sees that the Drakon was retreating and hissing while doing.

Thalia pushes her bangs from out her eyes and smirked, "Guess he wasn't in the mood to be fired to a crisp."

Luke rolled his eyes as they begun to climb down the tree. He gets down first and offers his hand which Thalia doesn't take.

"Are you coming with me to Camp?" She questions dusting herself off but her eyes were meeting his.

"Thalia-"

"Luke," It was the first time she had said his name without negativity since he got here, "If you come to Camp and some campers cause problems you can stay in the Zeus cabin."

"Isn't that against the rules." He said taking a step forward directly before her and handing Thalia her hunting knife handle first.

"I won't be in the cabin, so that's one less rule broken." Thalia said putting the knife back in its holder, "So is that a yes?"

"Fine." He said with a hint of a smile as the walk down the hill. The sky was dark and all that remained with the stars. The campers had all gone back to the cabins. Thalia and Luke walk to the Big House where Chiron waits in horse form.

"Luke Castellan." He said as they walk up.

"Chiron." Luke said his voice was leveled.

"I believe you want to come inside too." Was all he said as they both follow him inside.

"So Egyptian gods?" Luke asked as the same moment Thalia did.

"Yes Egyptian gods." Chiron repeats as someone knocks on the door. Thalia gets up and answers it. Nico stares back at her along with a boy with weird clothes.

"Nico." She said and sat back down as they walk in.

"Thalia." He said and folds his arms over his chest and nods his head toward the other guy, "This is Carter Kane-"

"The magician I've heard." She cuts him off and he rolls his eyes.

"As I was about to mention the next Great Prophecy." Chiron said as his eyes drifted toward Luke who was clutching his knees, "Thalia you are apart of it. There is no doubt."

"Don't remind me." Thalia mumbles leaning back on the couch staring up at the ceiling, closing her eyes.

"But the line goes Daughter of King and Son of Thieves." Chiron said as both Luke and Thalia looked both up at him then each other.

"You think it's us?" Luke asked him eyebrows scrunching up, narrowing his eyes.

"Yeah." Nico spoke up from the corner of the room blending into the shadows.

"But-" Luke starts but Chiron raised his hand and silence him and Thalia folds her arms over her chest taking a breath.

"We are sending both of you to Camp Jupiter." Chiron pulls something from behind him and Thalia recognize it as Backbitter. He straightens up and looks down at the weapon being presented to him. He takes the sword without a word and sits it across his lap.

"So you are sending us to Camp Jupiter." Thalia said and all eyes stare at her except Luke, "But what about Lady Artemis? The Hunters?"

"About Artemis you will find your answer in Camp Jupiter and the Hunters will be safe here." He said as his tail flicks behind him nearly knocking over a base.

"I'm guessing you want us to leave now." She continues looking at Nico and Carter.

"Yes again, I'll Iris Message you when you get to there." He said and Luke stands up and Thalia follows.

"Fine, I just need to get something from the Zeus cabin." Thalia said aldehyde walking out the Big House, "I won't take long."

She jumps across the river and dashes across the strawberries fields until she comes to Cabin 1. Walking up the creaking steps she hears something behind her, but when she turns around it was nothing.

Placing a hand on the door with a slight push it gives way and she steps inside. Thalia walks over to the bunk she used to sleep on and looks under it at the small green journal. She slips it inside her jacket and zips it back up. Walking out she sees the boys walking up to the cabin.

"I'm ready." Thalia said and Nico offers his hand at which she takes it.

"Just in case I black out or something bad happens, Carter is going to help us get to Camp Jupiter." Nico explains, "Oh almost forgot is you don't want to get lost in the shadow don't let go of one other."

"Just great." Carter said with a small smile as the four slide into the shadows.
