Hello Little Witch

Bonnie leans against the door with a fond smile on her face when she sees that her daughter is still sleeping.

After taking a picture(for future embarrassment if her daughter ever brought anyone over), Bonnie walks over to Hope's bed and shakes her tired daughter's shoulder.

"Sweetie," she begins, trying to lull Hope to come back into the world of being awake, "It's time to get ready for school."

Hope grumbled at being woken up, "Mom, can't I skip? Only for today!"

Bonnie only shook her head, "You only have to suffer through one more day and then you can sleep as much as you want in the summer holidays,"

As a response, Hope pulled the covers over her head.

Shaking her head, Bonnie began to walk out of the room and announced, "It's a shame you're not getting out of bed. I guess that means I have to finish all the vampcakes by myself."

At hearing a thud, Bonnie tried to keep herself from bursting out loud when she turned to see her daughter wrestling with the blanket - an indication that her daughter had fallen out of bed.

Downstairs, Bonnie hums as she places the finishing touches on her work document and saves it before closing the laptop.

Pride shows on her face in the form of a smile as she looks down at the golden logo of the suitcase in front of her: The Forbes Boarding School for the Young & Gifted printed on it.

They won, Bonnie thought almost giddily before the darkness in her mind grabbed at her thoughts, they were the last ones left.

At hearing tiny footsteps coming down the stairs, Bonnie stood up and turned around so she could recollect herself.

Her daughter did not need to see the weak creature that replaced her mother.

Hope squealed at seeing her mom's famous vampcakes on the kitchen table.

"I love you, mom," Hope said as she devoured her breakfast.

Bonnie only let out a chuckle at turning around to see her daughter's mouth full of vampcakes, "I love you too, honey."

While Bonnie wiped away the mess on Hope's cheeks, Hope asked, "Mom, what are you doing to do today?"

Bonnie replies, " I have to return the documents that I borrowed from the Armoury and after that, it's just boring paperwork."

Hope scrunches her nose at the word 'work' and replies, "I guess that even when you're an adult, you still have to do your homework," making Bonnie chuckle at her daughter's antics and kissing her forehead.

Time Skip:

After a car drive, filled with the girls having their morning karaoke routine, Hope screeched with joy at seeing her cousins, Lizzie and Josie, when they arrived at her school.

Caroline Forbes chuckled as she came to Bonnie's side, "The girls saw each other yesterday."

Bonnie raised an eyebrow and teasingly remarked back, "I still have bruises from the times you tackled me even though you saw me the day before."

The blonde narrowed her eyes at Bonnie before wiggling her fingers, "Here's the only warning you're going to get Bon. Get ready for a Baroline Hug!"

Then before she knew it, Bonnie was tackled to the floor with Caroline laying on top of her and the girls giggling from above her.

Caroline sat up after enjoying the few moments of being in Bonnie's arms and then offered a hand to Bonnie.

Hiding a wince, Bonnie took Caroline's offered hand and asked, "Baroline?"

Caroline made a 'duh' gesture, "It's yours and mine names together!"

Bonnie nodded her head when she got it, "So if we were to ever get married..."

"Our ship's name would be Baroline!" Caroline finished with a smile after Bonnie trailed off.

Caroline asks when Bonnie is going to come back and teach at the school, to which Bonnie replies that she'll contemplate the decision during the holidays.

Hope came to her mom's leg and pulled at her suit jacket, "Mom?"

Bonnie crouched down to meet her daughter's eyes, "What's wrong, honey?"

Her daughter went silent and twiddled with her fingers, a nervous habit she's picked up so Bonnie turned her eyes to the twins.

Lizzie is the one to answer when Josie blushes and hides behind her sister's back at seeing her hero - HER AUNT IS BONNIE BENNETT.

"We're just wondering when you're coming back to teach. Miss Tulle is a good teacher, but she's not like you Aunt Bon."

Bonnie smiles gently, "I'm going to make my final decision after the holidays, ok?"

Lizzie nodded and left to go inside, leaving Josie staring at Bonnie.

Caroline lets out a small laugh when her daughter turns and runs as well once she realizes she's staring, "She's a huge fan."

Bonnie only shakes her head fondly, before turning back to her still-anxious daughter.

"Honey?" Bonnie asks worriedly as she rubs her hand soothingly on her daughter's shoulder, "What's wrong?"

Hope looked blankly at Bonnie and replied in an ominous tone, "Change is coming." before she sneezed and looked at her mother with those all too familiar blue eyes.

"Mom, what's wrong?"

Although she was still thrown off whenever her daughter had her visions, Bonnie smiled at her daughter, "Nothing's wrong, Honey. Your psychic abilities just came in again."

Hope's excited smile could rival the sun with its brightness, "Do you think I'm going to be as good as you one day, mom?"

Bonnie shook her head, "I don't think you're going to be as good as me, Hope."

Hope's mom brushed a strand of hair away from her daughter's face and in its place, she laid a kiss.

"I know that you're going to be better."

Time Skip:

Bonnie let out a triumphant noise when she finally found the files from the Armory.

But her victory was short-lived as she made eye contact with the reason why she had the files in the first place - the file labeled 'The Hollow'.

When her doorbell went off, Bonnie frowned in confusion.

Was she expecting guests?

Wearily, Bonnie walks towards the door and keeps her guard up even as she begins to open the door with a smile.

"Hello, little witch."

Bonnie's smile drops and freezes as the only person to call her that should be in New Orleans.

But he's standing in front of her.

Klaus Mikaelson grins down at the shocked face of Bonnie Bennett.

And time just freezes.

Bonnie's too busy analyzing the man in front of her to realize that he's still talking.

So at his expectant gaze, Bonnie narrows her eyes at the still attractive man and her ex-one night stand, "Cut the bullshit Klaus and tell me why you're here."

....

Pouting.

He's pouting.

Klaus Mikaelson is pouting at her.

"Little Witch, do you still not trust me?"

Bonnie is sure her eye is twitching.

Before she could speak, Elijah Fucking Mikaelson of all people just inserts himself into the conversation, "Miss Bennett, if you would please be so kind and let us enter your home."

Klaus mouths 'Be kind' at her with a mischievous grin that quickly falls at the poisonous look that the Bennett Witch is shooting his elder brother.

Bonnie is so ready to burst every brain vess- no every goddam brain cell in Elijah's overinflated head but then she sees Nosy Noah from across the street looking at the scene with suspicion with his wife Gossiping Goldie.

So Bonnie closes her eyes.

She takes a deep breath.

She exhales and opens her eyes.

Bonnie smiles at the Mikaelsons in front of her -  maybe a little too sweetly if she caught the wince Klaus tried to hide.

"Would you like to come in?"

Short Time Skip:

If you had told Bonnie that she would be sitting with two Mikaelsons in her home...

She would have thanked you and taken Hope with her to live in the France home.

Bonnie holds her cup of tea in her hand like it's the only thing keeping her from shredding the men in front of her to pieces.

"Did you know that neither Elijah nor Finn are the eldest of the Mikaelsons?" Klaus asks, cutting the silence in the room, "Apparently, we've had an older sister that had been taken from us by our wicked Aunt Dahlia, who we have recently defeated."

Bonnie only sat there with a raised eyebrow, "I congratulate your family on the return of your eldest sister."

"Thank you for your manners, Miss Bennet. And maturity." Elijah cut in.

If looks could kill, Klaus thought as he saw the anger pool in his little witch's eyes before she snuffed it out.

She sighed and placed her tea down and leaned forward, ignoring Elijah and keeping her gaze on the blue eyes she saw just this morning, "Klaus, we both know that you did not come here to let me in on the recent drama of your family. So like I said before, cut the bullshit."

Elijah interjects and explains the situation.

From Hayley to Dahlia.

Then he said something that caused Bonnie to snap.

"Hope deserves to be with her real family."

Elijah had vamped out when Bonnie had flung Klaus to the wall and pinned him there, but Bonnie had dragged Elijah to his knees with her magic.

She leaned down slightly to meet his vampiric eyes and hissed, "Hope is home. With me. Her mother."

At that word, Elijah freezes slightly.

He looks...troubled.

Guilty.

Bonnie files that away for later, even though a thread of suspicion starts to tug at her brain.

Why in the world does he look guilty at hearing that word?

When Elijah opens his mouth to speak, Bonnie just knocks him out with a wave of her hand and a simple spell, not wanting to deal with his self-righteous bull.

She sneers at the body on her floor before turning to look at Klaus who was already staring at her.

And he continued to stare as she walks over to him.

Bonnie released him from the bounds with a movement from her fingers.

Klaus still stood against the wall.

Still staring.

Staring at her.

Then mischief lit up in his eyes and the next thing she knew, Klaus grabbed her wrists.

Klaus's sudden move forced her body into the solid wall, with him trapping her.

His scalding touch sizzled on her skin, and in reflex, Bonnie's eyes raised with her chin.

He couldn't help himself but slowly look her up in and down.

Taking in her lush curves that have matured over time.

The teasing smirk of her mouth.

Feeling the warmth of her skin.

Klaus lowered his head as if sharing a big secret and whispered, "My little witch, don't you remember our roles in this play? I am the big bad wolf who pins the red riding hood to the wall. Not the other way around."

Bonnie tilted her head and whispered back, "And what if the roles have reversed and I'm the big bad wolf now?"

If Klaus was a lesser man, he would have begged for his little vixen to put him out of his misery.

But Klaus had not been a man for a thousand years.

So he leaned forward, "My, what big eyes you have, Big Bad Wolf,"

Bonnie couldn't help the smile her smirk had melted into, "All the better to see you with."

Klaus's smirk was a thing to behold, "I am an incredible specimen. It's only right that your sight has been dragged to me."

The Bennett Witch wanted to be selfish for once.

To grab Klaus and yank him by the collar and make out with him like there was no tomorrow.

To be reckless once again with Klaus Mikaelson.

But that was what the old Bonnie would have done.

That was what Bonnie before the 'Delena Betrayal' (as Caroline had dubbed it) would have done.

That was what Bonnie before the Prison World would have done.

But she wasn't that Bonnie.

Right now?

Bonnie Bennett was a mother first.

And her daughter's safety came first.

Bonnie leaned her head against Klaus's chest (to the best of her ability, since Klaus was still pinning her to the wall by her wrists), "The thing that I love about you, Klaus, is your ability to make me feel like the most special person in the room when you put your attention on me."

Klaus stiffened at the words.

First, he let her wrists go and slowly -almost hesitantly- wrapped his arms around his little witch.

Then: careful, soft, sweet and so very full of love, his fingers just barely brushed a strand of hair away from her face.

In its place, he laid a kiss.

"You are the most special person I have met, Bonnie Bennett," he murmured into her forehead, blending into her skin and infusing it with affection.

Bonnie so desperately wished she could be a selfish person.

Briefly, she clung to the moments of peace she felt in the hug before she let Klaus go and walks over to her living room and sits down, eyes on her cold tea.

"My daughter is coming home anytime soon so you need to explain your side of the story."

The silence takes them over and then Klaus begins to speak.

Bonnie listens to every word.

And when he's done, with eyes so sincere and pained, Bonnie sits next to him and asks, "What do you want from me, Klaus?"

"I am a selfish man, Bonnie Bennet, even though I have not wanted much in this world," he said softly. "In this century, however, I want many things. I want my younger sister to come home. I want to understand how my elder sister still holds compassion in her heart for our father. I want my younger brother to live once again."

The Original Hybrid stops and slowly turns to the Bennett Witch, looking at the joined hands with a soft expression before he looks up to meet her gaze, "I want you. I have always wanted you."

Why can't she be selfish again? Bonnie pondered as she found herself drowning, once more, in Klaus's blue-green eyes.

But then her mind reminded her who else had those same blue-green eyes and then she remembers why she needs to be responsible.

"I would be lying if I said that I didn't want you as well." was her reply before she placed a hand on Klaus's cheek.

"I don't see the problem then," Klaus said, confused but mollifying at the touch of Bonnie's hand on his face.

"We have a daughter together, even though she was born three years after we um..."

At Bonnie's shyness, Klaus slyly asked, "Yes? After we what? Made love to one another?"

"Yes. That."

Klaus couldn't help the chuckle at seeing the great Bonnie Bennett be silenced by the idea of them hav-

"Bonnie! Sorry, I lost the key. But school finished early since there were some faulty spells let loose in the hallways. So I brought Hope with me." Caroline's voice called from the door.

Bonnie and Klaus both leaped out of their seats.

The Bennett Witch winced at seeing Elijah's unconscious body and snapped her fingers, murmuring a quick cloaking spell.

"You go wait in the kitchen and I'm going to get Hope," Bonnie said, already walking towards the door.

But Klaus grabbed Bonnie's arm, jerking her close,(and tried to ignore her lush breasts pressing against his chest), "Hope?"

Bonnie's eyes softened, "Our daughter's name."

Klaus needed to ravish Bonnie Bennett and he needed to do it soon.

But at the incessant knock on the door, he settled for kissing her for now.

Klaus was the one to let go of continuing the kiss (even though he initiated it), "Go get our daughter, little witch. We'll carry this on later."

Bonnie gave him one last peck before going to the door.

Anxiously, Klaus waited in the kitchen listening to everything.

He heard Bonnie thanking Caroline.

He heard his daughter's voice for the first time.

He heard Bonnie say how an important person was wanting to meet Hope.

He saw his daughter for the first time and he felt like he was back in New Orleans, feeling her kick.

"Mom? Is that dad?" Hope asks as she looks at her mother for affirmation.

Bonnie nods at her daughter, "Yeah, honey. That's your father."

That's all the permission Hope needs before flings herself at him and he falls to his knees for his daughter and holds her.

If he were to die, then this would be heaven.

Holding his little girl, his child, at last in his arms.
