Chapter Fourteen: Who is he?
Jace Herondale broke his arm.
It wasn't intentional... initially, but Jace found it a perfect opportunity to beg the Lightwoods to let Jem come to help him heal.
He stayed silent while brother Zachariah drew the runes on him; well he stayed quiet for the first few runes, but after that he couldn't hold back his questions any longer.
"Who's Will Herondale?" he asked quickly, nervous that Jem would react in the same way that Magnus did.
How do you know his name? Jem asked.
"It was in the front of one of my mother's books," Jace answered. Jem finished off the rune he was working on before pausing to get a better look of the boy.
He was close to Tessa, you don't know much about her do you Jem said.
"She's my mum, I know more about her than you do," Jace said as Jem started on the next rune.
I find that unlikely Jem said.
"What do you mean?" Jace asked, leaning back against the head rest of the bed in the infirmary.
Perhaps we should speak about this another time Jem said, glancing over to the door where Maryse had appeared, invisible the moment before.
Maryse sat down on the bed beside Jace and held the hand on his uninjured arm, tracing circles on the back of his hand
Tomorrow Jem said in Jace's mind, and since Maryse didn't react in anyway, he could only guess that Jem had spoken only to him.

We're not going to become very good friends if you don't show me how you shift," Isaac said, dragging his fingers along the bars of Tessa's cell.
"We're not going to become very good friends if you insist on tormenting me and limiting my food either," Tessa said, sitting as far away from Isaac as she could, her fingers digging in her thighs.
"You really are quite stubborn aren't you," Isaac commented.
"Did you ever know your father? Because he was a good man who raised good children," Tessa scowled, trying not to let her anger or her loss get to her. She had dreamed of James that night, dreamed of him changing into a shadow and then changing into Isaac.
"There's no need to taunt me," Isaac said leaning against the door but not opening it. Tessa was sure she could escape if he did, shift into someone faster and smaller than herself to dodge past Isaac. But Isaac must have known this, for he locked the door to the cellar behind him on his way in.
Isaac slid a single slice of bread, and a shot sized glass of water under the door and took a step back.
"Tell me when you're ready to cooperate, then I might show you some respect," Isaac said before turning and leaving Tessa alone in the dark.

I appologise for the extremely short chapter and the infrequent updates and I'd say I'd update more and better content, but I'm not sure I could keep that promise so I wont
I update when I can though and write when I'm motivated, so I'm hoping thats better than nothing
