Chapter four
((A lot of questionable grammar in this bc of Belarus' accent.))
Previously:
I need to stop being so, what is the word.... Jealous? (Y/n) is my responsibility now weather I like it or not. I have to push away all of my envy and focus on caring for her. Ugh, I can't believe I just said that. What is going on with me?
-----
-the next morning.-
I growled in frustration, staring down at the burnt pancakes I tried to make.
Great! Just great! Now what do I do? What would big brother do... I wondered tapping my fingers on the counter.
Well that's easy for him because he's not bad at cooking!
Shut up you!
I can say what I want!
I sighed looking down at the pancakes; (Y/n) sat across from me at the counter, one of ones that's across from the kitchen.
Her chin was wresting on her elbows, which were on the counter.
Both of our stomachs were growling.
"Mom?"
"Da?"
"Why don't we just go to (favorite fast food place."
"Agreed," I said grabbing the plate of burnt pancakes and throwing them away.
"Let's get going, but we need to change you out of the PJs first." I said, picking (Y/n) up; she was holding her bunny in her hand.
"But I don' have anything else to wear." She pointed out.
Shit, what am I supposed to do now? She doesn't have any cloths. Ugh, why did I agree to this again?
Shut up. We're doing this because Ukraine said it would be good for us, and I don't want this girl going back to the shit hole she came from.
Swear jar.
Fuck your swear jar you're me!
Swear jar.
"Ugh!" I groaned, (Y/n) looked at me weird.
"Are you ok mom?"
I sighed, "Da I'm fine; I think I have something for you to wear." I said going upstairs to my room.
I set her down outside the door.
"Don't move;" I ordered, she nodded, holding her bunny rabbit close to her.
Now where did I put it?... I wondered as I went into the room, searching through my closet.
Where is that dress?! I scowled in frustration and concentration as I continued my search.
As I was searching, I didn't notice the little pattery footsteps coming into my room.
"Mom."
I turned my head, the scowl still on my face "what?!" I spat, causing the (h/c) girl to flinch, her eyes alight with fear.
"I thought I told you to wait outside?!"
"I-I'm sorry..." She whispered, tears slowly coming to her eyes.
Well now you've done it!
Great job!
Shut up all of you!!!
I let out a small sigh, trying to calm myself down before I walked over to the little girl, awkwardly stoking her (h/c) hair.
"I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean to yell like that." I stammered, slightly embarrassed.
"No more tears alright?"
She nodded softly rubbing her eyes. "I told you to stay outside though. There are things that could hurt you in here..." I said, trying to keep my voice as steady as possible; there was a faint blush on my face.
"I'm sorry..." She apologized.
I hugged her "it's alright."
"I just wanted to come help you that's all..."
God this child... She's so...
Don't say it.
No.
I don't get the feelings of the cuteness!!!
"How about you just sit there then.
You'll be helping me by not getting hurt."
"That doesn't sound fun!"
"Well you're going to have to deal with it for now ok?"
"Ok..." She said disappointed.
I continued to look, purposefully avoiding my shrine to big brother in the back.
Finally, here it is.
I pulled out a small green dress, that I had worn when I was a chibi at some point... Ugh, I hate the color green.
"You can wear this for now." I said, giving it to her.
"Wow! It's so pretty!" She beamed, looking at the long sleeved dress.
"Mhm. Now let's put the dress on you." I said, helping her undress and put the dress on.
Good. That fits her perfectly.
(Y/n) was spinning around in the dress happily.
"Look at me!" She giggled.
"Be careful!" I yelled, going after her.
Too late...
She crashed into the dresser, a large glass vase teetering off the edge.
"Look out!" I yelled grabbing her and moving her out of the way before it dropped; the vase fell on the wood floor and shattered into several pieces.
"I-I..."
"I told you to be careful in here!" I said angrily, (y/n) looked at the ground ashamed.
Deep breaths...
I took a deep breath, in and out... I exhaled.
"I'm sorry... I keep causing you so much trouble..." She whimpered.
"Nyet. Your fine, just don't scare me like that. You could have gotten hurt and then what? Do you understand?" I asked her my eyes softening.
I couldn't help but feel bad for her... I would usually always break things or mess stuff up when I was younger, and yet. Ukraine...
Let's not make this a sob fest... Straiten up!
(Y/n) hugged me tightly.
"Let's go get some food and cloths."
"Yay!"
I'll clean the vase up later... I told myself.
-Time skip.-
(Y/n) was chanting (favorite fast food place) the whole way there.
We got our food and headed out to the mall.
I hate the mall...
I looked around the mall, holding (Y/n)'s hand as we walked through.
I have no idea where the hell I'm going... I looked down at (Y/n) who was looking up at me expectantly.
Shit
As we wondered around some more I spotted two familiar faces, and I groaned inwardly, glaring at them.
"So yeah, then I like, told Romania that like if he doesn't like pink, he can deal with it."
Poland and Lithuania... Perfect timing.
Lithuania spotted me, all the color suddenly drained from his face.
"Like, are you ok?" Poland asked, his eyes looked around and then locked on (Y/n); he let out a loud squeal, running over to (Y/n) I moved to block him but he was faster.
Picking up (Y/n)
"Oh my god like, you are totally the cutest thing ever!!!" He said, (Y/n) was trying to squirm away from him.
My eyes darkened, and my left hand slowly moved to grab the knife that was in my pocket.
"Let her go." I hissed.
"U-um... Poland." Lithuania stammered, pointing to me.
Poland's eyes slowly moved to me, he flinched.
"Woah, like, sorry!" He said, setting (Y/n) down, terrified.
"Good."
(Y/n) ran over to me. "He's weird." She whispered to me.
"Da."
((Sorry that was cut off short. I couldn't think of any cliff hanger moments I could leave you at.
Hope you enjoyed this chapter! Have a great day!))
