Chapter eleven
Previously: I smiled softly, "please just stay with me..." I half begged, stroking her hand softly with my thumb.
I felt her hand squeeze mine softly, her eyes opened to small slits.
"M-mommy..."
"M-mommy..." (Name) spoke and I let out a small sigh of relief when I saw here open her (e/c) eyes to look at me.
"Yes little one I am here..." I said, feeling somewhat protective over the little girl... I was very relieved that she was alive, even thought I've only known her for a couple weeks...
This girl has changed me somehow...
"M-mommy, my legs hurt... What happened to me?" She asked weakly, I saw tears brimming her eyes. Fear, confusion, and pain circulating through the young girl's expression.
I shook my head, trying to figure out what to say. If I tell her... Won't she just be more afraid? Should I tell her?...
I looked over at my sister, her expression was both sad, and understanding... A little bit of envy wrapped up in it all, but I ignored it. She nodded towards me, as if to tell me to try and explain...
I nodded turning back to (Name), hesitant. I didn't want to mess up like I had before... I would try and be careful with my words and tell her what had happened. But it has to be in a way that she could understand...
"A bad guy tried to take you away... But you're safe now." I tried to explain, gently stroking her hand with my thumb.
"My legs really hurt..." She spoke, swallowing. "I can't move my toes..."
I felt my soft smile quaver, my breath hitched.
What was I supposed to say?
Do I tell her that she can't walk anymore?...
"Your legs are gone... But you will still be able to get around without them..." I said carefully.
She gulped, "mommy?"
"Hm?"
"I'm scared..." She said, I nodded, "I know you are, try and get some sleep..." I told her, "you'll feel better in the morning..." I said. She gulped and nodded, closing her eyes, and falling asleep eventually, her heart beat slowing softly.
I stood up hesitantly, not sure if I should leave.
"She's not going to be able to walk again..." Ukraine said softly, looking at me with sympathy. I felt myself tensing up slightly. "And how to you know that?" My voice quavered.
"There's no way she could, her legs are almost completely gone... You know that. Even with prosthetics, she won't be able to-" I stopped her, feeling myself get worked up again. Fear and denial clouded my eyes.
How dare she say that! There's always another way! I thought blindly. Lack of sleep and stress starting to have an effect on me.
"Take it back..." I said, glaring up at her, my eyes weary.
Ukraine walked over to me, "I can't..." She said, her eyes clouded with worry, not to mention sympathy.
"She won't be able to walk again Belarus... You're going to have to face that eventually."
I glared at her, "you can't say that!" I spat, "how on earth would you know anyway?! Last time I checked, you've never had a child, you haven't had to go through this!" I hissed, slashing her arm through the in anger.
"You've lost so many kids by now, we should call you miss carrige!" I hissed in pure anger, without thinking, my eyes blazing.
I immediately regretted it. Ukraine looked at me in shock for a moment, before she hung her head in shame, her eyes clouded. A single hand resting on her stomach in remorse.
"U-ukraine I-I..." I started, nor sure what to say.
She looked up at me, forcing a small smile. "It's fine." She said, looking strait at me. It's as if I hadn't said anything...
"I'm fine, it's ok... R-really." She said softly. Her eyes still churning with pain, but she pushed it away.
"No, It's not ok, I shouldn't have said that... I lashed out, I-I wasn't thinking.-" Ukraine enveloped me in a hug, her gigantic boobies pressing into me.
"It's fine really... It's all in the past now. I... Know you didn't mean it." She said, looking down at me.
"Besides, what's more important is (Name)..."
I stared down at the ground. "But I was serious from before Belarus..." She said softly.
"No matter how hard you believe it to be false... (Name) will never be able to walk again."
((I'm sorry that these chapters have all been Belarus's mood swings and filler stuff. This fanfic is really bad tbh XD
But it's just a warm up for me... After this one I've decided to do something with Ukraine, as a sequel.
And rn I'm working on one rn for America. It's called "Mother my love." (that won't be the permanent title, I'm going to be changing it...)
Anyway, I hope your enjoyed! Bye!
