Wednesday Morning

Some was-suppose-to-be-Skylox I found on my computer but never finished

I have a lot of things on my computer that are unfinished

There's this one called "Despondency" and it's too fucking deep I just argh my heart

I stopped working on it around the time as straight as a pencil was made apparently and it's 3k words so I'm probably gonna continue it and hopefully it'll be up as it's own book

I laid in bed, eyes pried open and listening to the sound of the ticking clock on my wall. Of course, being stuck awake on a Wednesday morning when you desperately need sleep is a wonderful thing to occur. It was pretty cold as well, even the bountiful layers of blankets couldn't aid me. New York was pretty weird, I just wanted to go back to Arizona—despite how hot it was there.

I sat up in bed, gazing at my digital clock. It was about 5:43AM, I would start work at around 7:30AM. Though I wanted to sleep more, there was no point since my brain was too active. I quickly threw the blankets off my bed and went to go change. Taking a quick walk at the park at nearly six in the morning to clear your mind was perfectly normal—right? Yeah, probably someone else in the world has done that too.

I quickly went to change into a baggy black hoodie, gray jeans, and some black converse shoes that I bought at the store for half price. I also grabbed my phone and my headphones, then my house keys. I had to be quick about this anyway, it usually took me an hour to get ready for work then thirty minutes of violent sprinting to get to the offices. I wasn't a businessman or an office worker, actually. I was more like a personal secretary for my boss; a guy who use to be really pissy and loved to illegally smoke and buy cigarettes in high school. He's changed now; settled down away from his parents with an Australian boyfriend that looked like he could be on the cover of G.Q. Magazine.

I opened the door and stepped out of my apartment. Strolling down the hall and towards the elevator, I pressed the "down" button. I was on the eleventh floor of my building, there was no way in hell where I would go down those stairs; night or day it was still tiring. Yet surely enough the elevator door opened with a ding, and I stepped in. I was surprised to see someone else standing in the elevator as well.

The elevator doors eventually opened and the empty lobby was in sight. I stepped out and headed towards the door, slipping on my glowing, neon green headphones over my ears. I pushed the door open and was greeted with the chilly air brushing against my skin. I began to regret not wearing a heavier jacket.

I didn't precisely know where to go, I just wanted to clear my mind for the time being.
