12 : Bells (jjk)
You giggled to yourself as you rushed towards your room, opening the small box you'd kept carefully inside your study table.
Today was it. Today was the day.
As childish as it may sound for a seventeen-year-old, soon to be eighteen, you had already bought all the gifts, snacks, and required items that you wanted to take with you.
It was your first fan meet.
You were way too excited but had been hiding all of it in front of the others, acting as if it wasn't a big deal. But now that you were alone, you could chuckle and hop to your heart's extent.
You opened the box, your eyes glittering when they caught the sight of the small, beaded, round ornaments. There were two of them, so you took out one and left the other.
You carefully took it in your hand, securing it inside your sling's pocket that you were gonna take along with you. Your phone rang and you hung up upon seeing the caller ID. It was one of your friends, who was probably outside your house with the others to pick you up.
"I'm leaving, mom!" You informed and ran outside, and once you were inside the car, you closed your eyes. Breathing deeply a few times, you smiled towards the scenery outside.
The purple lights, the banners, the ARMY bombs, the members so close.
All these years, you'd gotten the chance to see these only as a virtual clip. And now, it was time that you experienced it yourself.

It had been about half an hour since you stood there, seeing them interact, hold hands, and smile at the ARMYs in front of them. You couldn't take your eyes off the seven men. It was so precious and you wanted to record everything in your tiny little mind.
Every word they said, every moment they laughed, every second they looked at the crowd. You wanted to remember it, cherish it all. You'd learned a whole new language simply for them after all. Thankfully your mother's best friend was Korean, so you got an easy source to learn it from. Her daughter helped you a lot.
Just so that you could communicate better, understand every word they said. Your friend handed you an energy drink and you sipped it, laughing at Jin's unnecessary jokes which were making Hoseok scrunch his face.
As time passed, there came your turn. You walked behind the others, patiently standing on the small set of stairs which led to the members. You were nervous, constantly shaking your leg while you looked all around you.
When you took a step up, another impatient girl who stood right behind you kept squeezing all while giggling occasionally. "Easy, sis" you laughed and she threw a fake chuckle at you making you purse your lips and look forward.
You put your hands into your sling bag, consciously taking out the bracelet that you had prepared so well for your bias. More like my fanfiction star sitting a few feet away from me right at this moment.
You smiled when it looked perfect, unharmed, and beautiful. You brushed your fingers over its small bells that tingled, making you grin. You were about to put it back into your bag before your friend in front of you took another step up, and you followed the gesture- the only thing different, was that the girl behind you stepped on the back of your shoe.
You tripped.
You did not fall too critically and were smart enough to cover the accident by quickly standing up. However, the bracelet in your hand got stuck to a cloth which was put up next to the stairs, attached to the table for the fan sign.
And that was when the girl behind you pushed you again before you could protest, causing the bracelet in your strong grip to almost tearing the cloth. But as you were pulling it, the bracelet suffered instead.
The beads came off, scattering on the raised portion where you were supposed to sit. No one except the girl behind you noticed, but you were flustered and startled nonetheless. Honestly? You wanted to curl up in a corner and cry.
You didn't even bring the second bracelet, this was the only one you could give to your bias. You took a deep breath and picked up all the beads as quickly as you could, trying your best to overlook the consequences.
Finally, you sat right in front of Yoongi. He beamed at you and you introduced yourself with a great huge smile as if nothing happened, causing his eyes to open wide at your accent. This made you cheerful even though you had all the reasons to be sad.
"You do not look Korean!" Jimin said when you sat in front of him and you laughed making him giggle with you. "I'm not, but I learned the language," you replied smoothly and he gave you surprised expressions making you chortle.
"It's really touching, thank you so much!" Hoseok said, admiring the small token of love and adoration you gave him. "it's nothing!" You smiled, taking in a deep breath before sliding further to the right, closing your eyes.
Namjoon, check, jin, check. Taehyung, check. There you go. The supposed owner of the broken necklace up next. You sat comfortably and soon enough, were greeted with a bunny grin. You just stared at him, eyes almost glittering out of excitement.
"Hello!" He sang sweetly and you finally chuckled. "What's your name?" He talked to you while opening your bag to give him the snacks left and the card you made. "Thank you!" He said, taking them and signing your album. "I'm sorry. There was another thing I prepared for you but it got ruined..." You mumbled sadly and he pouted making you squeal from the inside.
"I don't need gifts!" He told you and gave you a high five. You smiled sadly and he blinked. He conversed with you about random topics, like your favorite song from the album. "I'm so glad to see you here... Hope we meet again soon!" He said and you realized it was time to go. "You're a pretty ARMY..." He murmured softly to himself and you almost fell at his comment before your hand which was still inside the bag stumbled with something familiar.
Your eyes widened and you were about to get shooed away by the staff. "Wait!" You let out, a little bit louder than expected. The staff was about to say something when Jungkook leaned towards you with curious eyes.
"This!" You squeaked, taking out your hand and showcasing a small bracelet with bells attached to it. He looked at it and let out a giggle, stretching out his hand for you to put it on. You finally smiled wide, securing the metal- beaded bracelet on his wrist next to god knows how many million-dollar watch.
It seemed like a mere mouse next to a lion. But Jungkook, he grinned wider, examining it, flicking off his hair to look at you. "It's beautiful." He whispered and you probably were tomato now. "Thank you." He finished and you flashed a grin as well.
"Borahaeyo~" you said happily and he laughed, waving to you with the bells on the bracelet tingling.
And that's how you returned to your house, happy, giddy, and satisfied, buried under the blanket in your pajamas with a wise smile etched on your lips.
However, you were already surprised at the fact that you packed the second bracelet as well. "I remember leaving it though..." You mumbled to yourself, getting out of bed, and opening your study shelf.
Rummaging through it, you came across the box in which the bracelets were formerly packed. But when you opened it, you found the second identical bracelet right there. Your eyes popped out of their sockets before you ran to your sling bag.
And inside it, you found no broken bracelet. No beads. No bells. Nothing. It was empty, the contents of it been given to the seven men you adored.
It would be a lie if you said you didn't think you were hallucinating.
But that night, you believed in magic for the first time.

Two years later.
It was December. You were freezing like hell, even with a coat and sweater on you. The weather of Korea was chilly as it was supposed to be, and you were returning back to your aunt's house. Your feet were trying to walk at the fastest speed they could muster since the shops were slowly getting vacant. The city of Seoul was never not busy, but it was a late hour, and your anxiety kicked in as the clock ticked.
You were busy making your way out of the small crowd of couples and bachelors that surrounded you when you heard a small sound coming from something behind you, making you whip your head to the back. It was a small cat, standing right near your feet. It meowed softly and you shook your head.
You simply smiled at it before resuming your long strides but before you could turn your head towards the front again, you bumped into someone. You immediately said a sorry and bowed, but your steps halted when the said figure walked past you.
You paused, as if starstruck, and turned around, only to find the stranger stopped in his path as well. A small puff of air left your mouth, forming white smoke as your mind went haywire.
You heard bells. The ones that make the same sound like yours.
He didn't turn around, however. He stood there, motionless and stationary. "I'm sorry but... Are you..." You paused, your stupid words that sounded funny but made sense to you completely, came out soft and careful. The height, the fashion, the figure. The bucket hat.
You weren't dumb. You knew you weren't mistaken. But there were specific fields in which your mind could be crazy and non-sensical for all good reasons.
To be sure, you solaced yourself.
"Are you... Jeon Jungkook?" Your voice hardly above a whisper as your hand shivered slightly, making the bracelet tingle again. The man finally turned around, leaving you fazed. You could see his cheeky grin through the mask he wore.
"And...? If I am?"
