Two starry-furred she-cats stepped up to a clump of white and grey fur. "Wake up, it's tonight" said the blue-grey cat. The bundle of fur opened her eyes. 

"Bluestar, thank you for waking me" the white and grey cat purred, getting up and stretching her legs. 

"Actually, I had to wake her up first" The snowy white cat grinned. 

"Yes you did, Snowfur." Bluestar mewed. "Let's go"

The three cats padded away towards the clans, each as silent as the subtle breeze that was ruffling their fur. They approached the ThunderClan camp. The sleeping cats taking no notice of the silent ancestors.  

The cats stopped just outside the nursery, where the whimpers of a kitting mother echoed from inside. Bluestar and Snowfur looked at the white and grey cat, love and compassion in their gaze. 

"It's your choice" Snowfur said.

"We love you" Bluestar said.

Mosskit turned her head, tears in her eyes.

"Thank you"

Mosskit turned and disappeared inside the nursery, just as the queen let out a screech of pain.
