TW: Hints at self harm, attempted suicide, and depression. Panic attack, self deprecation, blood, violence, unsympathetic Roman, and putting up a facade. Suicidal thoughts.
Stay safe kiddos!
...........
Remus was hungry, so he decided to go to the kitchen. He bounced into the dark sides' kitchen, and grabbed a stick of deodorant, pickled poo logs, his personal favorite. He wondered how Dee was doing. He took a bite out of the deodorant stick, chewing in thought. He climbed onto the kitchen countertop and sat there, eating.
Remus' thoughts wandered back to the earlier events of the day, thinking about all the fun he had with Roman, it was so fun to pop up into his brother's imagination, scaring the Prince during the middle of a sword fight, and causing him to fall onto his butt in the dirt. Remus couldn't stop laughing at his brother sitting sprawled out in the dust, his pristine white outfit now speckled with earth. It was worth it to see his expression, even after his brother attacked him in anger, flinging both hateful words and cruel insults at Remus. It was even worth it when Roman had sliced into his side with his sword, claiming the Duke to be a villainous creature that needed to be vanquished, even when dark crimson liquid stained his dark green outfit as the green slowly turned into a dark red from the blood following out of Remus' wound. It was worth it even when he had looked up into his brother's eyes, seeing only pure unadulterated hatred for his brother in those cold eyes. It was still worth it even though Remus had fallen to his knees, shocked that his brother would actually hurt him, try to kill him. It was worth it, still worth it after the Princely figure spat in his face and kicked dirt in his face, and then proceeded to leave his brother to die, it was still-
Remus began to cry. He'd never let the others know that his brother's hateful actions and words actually hurt him, he was supposed to be the crazy, slightly murderous, and full of inappropriate jokes Remus, he was supposed to be the Duke. Remus was the embodiment of intrusive thoughts and dark creativity, and there was a reason why he pushed those thoughts and ideas into Thomas, because if he took the force of all the thoughts and ideas from Thomas? He would never be able to make it, he'd tried once before, taking all of Thomas' intrusive thoughts, and it almost killed him, if Dee and Virgil hadn't gotten there in time-
Remus shook his head, shaking his dark thoughts away, he didn't want to travel down that downward spiral again. He absentmindedly rubbed at his wrists, lost in old memories. He slapped himself, angry at his train of thought, scolding himself. 'HEY NO SADNESS REMUS! You gotta stay happy, everyone expects a happy and intrusive Remus, not a sad sack of potatoes. NOW GO OUT THERE AND BE THE DUKE!' The green dressed man plastered a smile on his face, and hoped no one had heard him crying to himself, if anyone did, he'd be dead for showing weakness in the dark side. He heard racing footsteps, immediately identifying the owner. 'Dee!' He thought, his smile now genuine. Something was wrong, why was Dee running? What's going on-
Dee burst into the room, and Remus immediately smiled, concerned, but unwilling to show his pathetic weakness, he offhandedly asked the half snake side what was wrong, unprepared for the answer.
He was back.
Remus froze at the simple, unassuming statement, horrified. He barely noticed that he was trembling, unable to notice anything beyond the ringing in his ears, drowning out all other stimulus. 'I'm going to die. I'm going to die. Oh god, I'm going to die-' Remus hyperventilating, unable to breathe, unable to think, only able to panic and clutch at his throat. The walls were closing in he couldn't breathe he was going to die oh god oh god oh god he was going to die. He could be anywhere, and he would die at His hands, and then no one would care. 'And then you'll be dead dead dead~' a child's voice singsonged in Remus' head. Remus fell backwards off of the countertop, toppling over and to the floor. 'Never mind Him, he was going to break his own neck right now!' Remus braced himself for impact, squeezing his eyes shut.
Remus' last thoughts ran through his head as he fell, he smiled in acceptance of the void, of the end. 'Well, I guess this is it. I never was good for anything, Roman was right, I am a mistake, a disappointment, I'm a failure. I'm useless. I guess you got your wish granted huh Roman? I guess this is goodbye, and goodnight.'
'Farewell.'
The world went black.
Silence.
