Hi, I'm Laura Glen and I live in Manhattan, I just moved here and I'm 19 so I'm still making friends in my area and in school. I live with my mom and my little brother in an apartment. It's a really nice apartment, so I didn't mind moving, it's what is best for my family. It was a bit boring though until one amazing day, that changed everything!

Flashback...........

I'm  making lunch for my brother, Lucas when I hear a noise outside the door. I look out and see that someone's finally moving in! They're around my age, and it looks like it's a boy. I open the door to greet him and he's really cute! He has messy, curly brown hair and charming, blue eyes. I manage to say, "Hi! My name is Laura Glen, I live right next door!" He smiles and says, "Travis Stoll, nice to meet you!" And shakes my hand. We talk for a while and I start to help him unpack, we go for coffee and I learn a lot about him!

That day was one of the best days of my life, I got a new best friend and I think also, a soulmate! We hang out all the time and we know nearly everything about each other.  We've really had a connection and I'm waiting for him to ask me out, because I know he likes me! I would definitely say yes because it just feels like we're meant to be!

I'm doing homework when I hear something out in the hall, I look through and see a girl about my age with lots of boxes and a suitcase. More neighbours! But when I see her walking towards Travis' apartment, I go to warn her that she's got the wrong one. I walk out and say, "Hi, I'm Laura Glen, I think you've got the wrong apartment because someone lives there." She smiles and says, "Oh! Laura Glen, Travis has told me all about you, I'm Katie Gardener!" I must look confused and I got to say something but then the door opens. Travis looks so happy and shouts, "KATIE-KAT, YOU'RE BACK!" He hugs her and let's us both in, I'm guessing they must be cousins or something.

We sit down and talk for a while. It turns out, she's really friendly! I could talk to her for hours. Apparently, she's moved here to go to college and will be living with Travis. I'm glad they're family because if they weren't then I would be jealous. She has beautiful, long brown hair and dazzling green eyes. I ask her what all the boxes and the suitcase are for and she says she's moving in. It is another new neighbour! I'm really excited, Travis' cousin is really nice!

We've been hanging out for a few days and it turns out, she's a really fun person! We meet everyday after school or college and have a great time! Meeting friends is starting to become really easy now. We're at their apartment now and we're about to watch a movie. I get on the seat and they share the sofa. They snuggle up really close and Travis puts his arm round her, now that I think about it, he never said they were cousins! And it turns out, I'm right! He kisses her and says, "You know I love you, Katie-Kat." She smiles and says, "I know, I love you too." I start to cry and scream, "How could you does this to me, I thought you were my friends!" Travis looks shocked and says, "We are your friends! What are you talking about?" I'm still crying but worse now, "I love you, Travis, and I'm sure you love me back!" He starts to look angry and raises his voice, "Excuse me, but I love my pregnant fiancé, who I've known for 8 years and been with for 4 years!" I'm shocked and I stutter, "Y-you're pregnant........a-and engaged!" I run home and cry and cry all day, I've never been able to look at them again after that.

Seven months later, Travis and Katie had twins, a boy and a girl. And when Katie was 21 she opened up a very successful flower shop business and Travis is also a very successful doctor. They're moving out next month to move to a house, for more space. But I know they won't last, and when everything goes wrong, I'll be his shoulder to cry on!
