Kyle's pov.

"Hey dude relax, how long can she resist your extremely good looks? She's just playing hard to get. Look, two more days and she'll come crawling back to you." Zack, my best friend said unaware of the fact of how obsessed i was with Annabeth.

I literally wanted to rip that guy's neck who had his arm casually on Annabeth's​ should. I guess his name was Connor stoll. I swear he and his brother are always around Annabeth as if trying to protect her from the world.

It's because of them Annabeth can't go out with me. It is my goal to make her fall for me just as had i did the day i saw her. But my love for her turned into obsession the second week of school.

Our school had its own dormitories so it was quite hard to not know people when you practically see them the whole day. I noticed Annabeth the first day itself and fell for her.

After a lot of brainstorming i finally had enough guts to speak to her. I was not the shy kind but still i was nervous.

I did the cliché bumping into trick. I bumped into her in the corridor. I spoke to her for about good 10 seconds when the stoll brothers came and took her away from me.

And that was the only time we talked. After that i started to closely observe her and then develop good friendship. But then again those stolls would not leave her alone. At all.

I have to do something. Fast.

Homecoming is just a month away, i have to do something to get Annabeth to go with me. But the stolls are always buzzing around her like bees around honey. Almost like bodyguards!

"-gone by then. Dude! Are you listening to me!?" Zack snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Huh? What?" I replied dumbly

"Bro, i was saying that yesterday that Cole guy asked Annabeth for homecoming. You are lucky she refused.
Do something and win her over. Or else you would just be a bystander. Just admiring her from afar. She'll be gone. Swept off of her feet by her 'prince charming' that won't be you." He said.

"You'r right. I have to do something. Soon." With that we left for our classes.

******** Next day

I did not sleep all night. I was banging my head for an idea. Literally. Zack was really pissed because i kept him up with me all night. But what are friends for. He is suppose to help me.

But......after lot of hardwork i finally had an idea. And because we are already friends it should be easy enough. The only thorn in my path are the stolls.

I was going to ask her in the parking lot a day before homecoming. And before that I won't let anyone near her to ask her. When she wo t have anyone to go with i will be her saving grace and ask her to go with me. And having no other option she will accept to go with me.

Now all we have to do is wait........

Annabeth's pov ( shocker!)

I was really getting sick of stolls. I mean, yeah i understand they are here to help me but...they just don't leave me alone!

On the first night staying at the dorms they were standing outside my dorm all night to make sure i have no nightmares.
Yup! Percy made them come here with me to help me with anything and everything.

Like in the morning they were like bodyguards or a distraction so that i could meet up with percy and no one would know. And at night make sure i don't have nightmares and if i do, they call percy before it gets bad.

Homecoming was next week. we can invite anyone we want or go by ourselves. I invited percy, piper, jason, hazel and frank. Jason and frank are attending as piper and Hazel's dates. Leo is off to london for some quest so he can't attend.

I really want to meet Percy. I miss him too much today. I guess its time to call the stolls.

I pulled out my phone and called them to my dorm. My roommate is still sleeping. I swear she sleeps like a log...

Within 5 minutes they were here.

"Hey Annabeth! What you need?" Connor asked.

"I want to meet percy today, so-"

"You want us to cover?" Travis cut me off and said.

"Yeah" i said

"No problemo! Go enjoy your time with your boyfriend. Even he is been in a grumpy mood all weekend because he didn't get to see you. And before you ask, Katie told me." Travis said

"Ok. Thanks guys. Now you'll go. I will ask nico to take me to camp." I said.

"Bye" they said simultaneously and exited my room.

I iris messaged nico to come get me and he shadow travelled to my room. I quickly left my roommate Suzy a note saying i will be gone for a while for a family emergency.

Then we shadow travelled to camp. Just outside the border. We entered the camp and i was instantly tackled by my friends and siblings.

I searched for percy everywhere but he was nowhere to be found. Not even in his cabin.

Then i remembered......

The lake!

I ran to the lake and looked around for any signs of him being here. Then i saw his shoed on the side of the lake. I knew he would be here. I smirked and thought of teasing him a bit.

I quickly removed my converse and socks and ran behind a tree nearby. I then threw my shoe in the water. Then I counted....

1.......

2......

3......

4......

5...

"ANNABETH!?" Percy's​ voice yelled.

I chuckled silently. After a few minutes of him calling my name he mumbled something and went back inside.

I took hold of the second shoe and threw it in too. Again counted...

1.....

2.....

3.....

"ANNABETH!" Again he yelled..

I giggled softly.. he went inside again.

I turned around to throw my sock when strong arms wrapped around my waist. I knew it was percy so i turned around and gave him a kiss.

Then he hugged me tightly.

" I missed you!" I said

"I missed you more" he replied

Then we pulled away and walked to the big house to visit chiron...

Kyle's pov

It was a week before homecoming when Annabeth did not come to any of the classes.

Or the next day....

Or the next......

I was worried. What if something happened to her. The next day i went to her dorm room in hoper to meet her. Instead i saw her roommate Suzy.

"Hey Suzy! Do you know where Annabeth is?" I asked

"Yeah. She went home. Family emergency. She will come back the night before homecoming." She said.

It makes my plan easier. I do not have to keep the boys away anymore.... I have to ask her on the day of homecoming though. I will ask her an hour or so before the dance.

******* Day of homecoming!

Today is homecoming.

I was sorting my outfit when Darcy and Audrey made an appearance. Darcy is Zach's brother and Audrey his date.

Dance starts at 5:00 in the evening and it is already 4:00.

We got ready and left the dorm to go to the hall. We reached there at 4:55.

Annabeth was nowhere to be found. I was getting anxious. That's when she entered and i swear my heart stopped.

The girl's outfit above. I'm not discribing them.

She entered with two more girls. I guess her friends. They came in and i was about to approach her when the lights went off. Then three spotlights appeared on Annabeth and her friends. Soft music started to play.

I was confused. What the hell is happening?

Then there were more three spotlights in front of the girls. Three extremely good looking guys stood in front of each girl.

( You must know how percy, jason and frank look. jason in front of piper.percy in front of Annabeth and frank in front of hazel)

They each had a red rose in their hand. My heart was beating fast. The boys knelt on one knee and gave the rose to the girl in front of them which includes Annabeth. The girls looked at each other and blushed. Then accepted the rose.

"May I have the honour to dance with you beautiful?" All three asked simultaneously which actually sounded good rather than creepy.

They extended their hands. The girls accepted and walked to the dance floor. Which again unfortunately includes Annabeth.

I was the one who is supposed to dance​ with her not some random dude.

By now many had started dancing. I took the chance and asked a random girl to dance with me. We went to the dance floor and started dancing. My eyes were glued to Annabeth, Who seemed to enjoy dancing with that stranger.

Then we had to exchange partners while dancing. After a while finally Annabeth was in my arms.

"Annabeth i want to tell you something important." I whispered in her ear.

"Maybe after the dance Kyle. Not now." Then she went to her next partner. After a while i left the dance floor. Watching Annabeth dancing with the stranger was hard so i went to get some fruit punch.

When i returned Annabeth was not on the dancefloor. I looked around but i did not find her anywhere.

Sighing i went to the balcony to get some fresh air. But that was ruined when i saw a couple in middle of full on making out. I turned around and started walking back when i suddenly halted. Wait. The dress the girl is wearing is the same one as Annabeth's. I turned again and looked closely. It was indeed Annabeth. God! She was making out with a stranger!

I walked towards them and ripped them apart. Then i punched the guy in the face.

"Come on Annabeth." I told her.

She ran towards the guy and asked him if he was ok.

"What the hell kyle! How dare you!" She asked

"Annabeth he is a stranger! How can you make out with him! He obviously won't show his face after today. Don't worry come on lets go back." I said

"No! You listen! How dare you punch him without knowing anything! His name is percy! My boyfriend! We are togeather for 2 years now. He is anything but a stranger!" She yelled.

I stood there stunned. She had a boyfriend.

Then i looked at percy. My punch did not seem to affect at all. He was just taken by surprise. Nothing else. No bruise, nothing.

He took her hand in his and walked to me. He stood in front of me and smiled. A genuine one, not fake.

"Thanx for looking out for Annabeth. It was me today. But incase someone tried anything i know her friends will be there for her like you were today. Thanx again man." He patted my back and left. The other people that came with them also left.

I stood ther for another half hour like a fool that i am......
