Anine's POV
I can't stop thinking about what happened last night with Annabeth. I know Rachel is the oracle, not Annabeth, but demigods tend to have weird dreams that usually end up turning into a reality. I didn't eat breakfast this morning, even though I'm starving. I'm still shivering as I go to get Maddy, who's supposed to train with me and a couple other campers at the climbing wall. She's standing outside the Poseidon cabin; It looks like she's waiting for me. 
"Hey," I say as I walk up to her, she looks tired and not exactly ready for a day of training. I also note that her eyes look kind of red, like she’s been crying, but I doubt she’d like it if I mentioned it.

"Hi," she answers me, smiling. "Did you sleep alright?"
"About that… There's something I need to tell you, and-"
"Hey, Annie!" Percy steps out of the cabin, looking gorgeous as always, his black messy hair and sea-green eyes glowing in the sun. Dam, Annabeth, you picked good. "How was your night?"
Okay, I definitely need to tell Percy about the vision and Athena’s warning. I'll ask Annabeth first, of course. I'm not sure if she wants me to walk around telling everyone that she's been having visions. Plus, there was the whole “don’t trust everyone” issue. 

"Could've been better," I confess. "I don’t usually sleep great at new places, it takes a week or so for me to actually sleep well."
 "Yeah, I know the feeling," Maddy mumbles before straightening up. "Let's go swim in lava."

When we get there, everyone is staring at us. Well, they stare more at Maddy and I than at Percy, which I think he thinks is weird… Because, yeah, he's Percy Jackson.

I still can't believe I'm here.
Percy walks up to the front of the class, or group of campers or whatever you want to call it. He claps his hands to get everyone’s attention.

"Okay, today we're going easy on you, so no quakes, just lava. And, if anyone falls in the lava, I'll be here to cool you down." He smiles his lopsided grin. Gods, he's just so handsome. 

"Okay, get to work everyone!"
The other campers that have done this before walk up to the wall without hesitation and start climbing. Maddy and I, on the other side, stand back and watch as the others easily climb up. Three of the campers are already on the top. Boy, they must have done this an awful lot of times. 
"Aren't you going to climb?" Percy asks us.

"Oh, we will," I assured him. I had always wanted to try that climbing wall, "but if I fall I would prefer not to be surrounded by-"
The earth starts shaking. First there's like nothing but soon it's too hard for me to stand. I sit down on my knees watching as the ground splits in several places. Percy and Maddy, being children of the earthquake god, stand still, as if the ground doesn't shake there, just for them. All around us, things started falling to the ground. 

Suddenly, we hear a loud screech coming from the climbing wall. One of the campers at the top, I think it was Zedrick from Cabin 5, lost his balance and fell backwards, hitting the ground behind him. The quake silences and we run towards him.
He lays on the ground not moving. Percy called over one of the Apollo campers, who checked if Zedrick actually had a pulse, which he had. Then he got some of the other campers to help him carry Zedrick to the infirmary.
Gwen Piorkowski, Zedrick's half sister, storms up to Maddy and I.
"How dare you do this to my brother!" She pokes her finger into Maddy's chest. "You could have killed him!" I look at her, stunned.

"Do you really think Maddy did this? She would never-"
"Oh shut up," Gwen said. "Both you and I know that she's the only one around who can create earthquakes, and the wall wasn't supposed to shake today, so it has to be her."

Maddy looks like she's about to cry. Her eyes are red and her mouth a thin line. She turns and leaves, the earth shaking and splitting wherever she steps. 
"See what you've done?" I shout at Gwen. "Thanks for ruining both mine and Maddy's first day of training." I turn to run after Maddy, but she’s disappeared.
