Amelia's POV 
The grass wilts and dies around me as I walk back to my cabin ignoring the shouts of Ammie and Val. I walk into my cabin, slamming the door behind me.
They think that I would poison my friends siblings? Who do they think they are?! Why would I do that? Is this one of those Hades child stereotypes?

I lay on my bed hugging one of my pillows and crying. 
Great job Amelia, you just got here and already turned everyone against you and got Maddy roped into this mess.

I just lay on my bed and cry until I hear Nico walk in. I look up at him, furiously wiping my eyes, "Hey, Nico." I sniffle. He sits down beside me.

“What's wrong?" I stare at him.
“What's wrong? What's wrong?! In case you didn't notice practically the whole camp thinks that Maddy and I poisoned a kid! That's what's wrong!" The tears begin to stream down my face again. I bury my face in my pillow, my body shaking with sobs.

“Hey. It’s gonna be alright. I’m on your side, and I’ll gladly beat up anyone who isn’t. All I need is a list of names.”

I glance up at Nico to see him looking utterly pissed.
“Wha- what?”

“Amelia, if anybody messes with you, they mess with me.” I stare at him in shock. Slowly, a smile tug at my lips, and then I’m hugging him.

“Thanks.” Is all I can manage to say. I pull away, and am surprised to see a shadow of a smile on his face. 

“Hey! Amelia?! Amelia, I need to talk to you!” Maddy bursts through the door. 

“GODS- you’re JUST like Percy. Is not knocking an inherited trait from Poseidon or something?” Nico rolls his eyes, but he’s still smiling.

“Hey Maddy, what’s up?” 
“I just...wanted to talk about…you know… the thing…” Maddy trails off, and I try to read her expression.

“Oh. That.” I reply. She looks kind of upset. 

“Not you too! Gods, don’t you two get it?! You’re not alone. You’ve got people on your side who are ready to beat up any bastards who say so much as a word against you.” Nico shakes his head in astonishment at us. Maddy just gapes at him.
“I just- you don’t- wait, what?” She stutters.

“You heard me. I’m on your side too. We’re gonna find out who’s behind this together.” Nico smiles.
“That’s right!” I stand up, smiling at Maddy, too. “Let’s go talk this out with Annie and Val.”
“You’re right. Let’s go.” Maddy grins. 

“I’m coming too!” Nico huffs in mock anger. “And we’d better talk with Percy and Annabeth as well. I’m sure they’ll be able to help.”
The three of us step out of the dark cabin and begin making our way down to the dining pavilion in hope of finding our friends.
