The sunlight slowly but surely invaded your bedroom, waking you up. Rubbing your eyes, you walked to your bathroom to complete your routine.

Being the youngest daughter of Sindel was not the hardest but not the easiest either. Mileena had most of the attention and expectations since she was heir to the throne, Kitana was responsible for aiding and protecting her older sister, while you... you had no expectations to exceed, you had little to no responsibilities within the royal business, but you didn't dare roam outside, in town, unsupervised, knowing what happened to Mileena.

Going out with your older sisters and mother to greet the warriors back from war, you spotted the one man you couldn't bear. Reiko.

Beside him was another man you didn't get to see before, but you knew for sure he had the backstory of a character from a legend, since his face was awfully deformed, as if it was melted away.

You knew these guys were up to no good, since General Shao's army had other plans for the empress and her heir.

Sitting at the dinner table which was planned by the royal family for its warriors, you happened to sit in front of the man you saw before. Hearing him chat with his buddies, you learned his name. 'Havik. Such a unique, yet weird name for someone' you thought.

People like Reiko and General Shao didn't hold back from the alcohol, which caused them to rant on and on about how the royal family and the system is corrupted, right in front of you and your sisters, which made you scrunch your face in utter disgust.

"See what i mean, General? Mileena is irresponsible, Kitana supports her justice, and Y/n over there sits all day and does nothing for Outworld!  The royal family is useless, corrupting the justice we maintained!" Reiko argued, while Havik simply watched him bored. He noticed the way you were disgusted by the warrior, which amused him.

"I recommend you either shut up and eat your food or go to sleep, Reiko." You said, interrupting  his drunk ranting session, which caused a few chuckles and snickers at the table. "What was that, princess?" Reiko asked "Are you deaf after the war? I can request some medical aid for you, if you wish" you smirked at the man. You had little to nothing to lose as reputation, since Outworld focused on your older sisters, so you were closer to a commoner than royalty.
"Are you trying to pick a fight with me, Y/n?" He asked. "It is 'princess' to you, Reiko" you responded on an offended tone.

Kitana gave a you a worried look, while Mileena put her hand on her shoulder, assuring her that if things went downhill, they would interfere.

Your words made Reiko stand up angrily, hardly managing to walk straight. "You should be grateful that we came back victorious!" He shouted. "Oh really? Do you need me to remind you to WHO you came victorious to?" You replied sassily, on a calm tone, which angered the warrior further.

The man walked over to you and tried to grab you by the hair "You bitc-" "sleep", you interrupted Reiko, and he immediately fell on the floor, out cold.

Of course, by being a member of the royal family, you inherited some sort of power. Since your mother could produce an ultrasonic, loud scream, you could use your voice to whisper commands into the enemy's brain, causing certain waves that made them do exactly as you wanted, which is what happened to Reiko.

You earned a few curious looks. But Haviks stare caught your eye. Forming an awkward eyecontact, you excused yourself from the dinnertable to go and rest.

At midnight, you felt a little adventurous, so you sneaked outside to get some fresh air, away from any stress.

You successfully got pass the guards and commoners that roamed around in the area but, unfortunately, while trying to walk on the hill you found your 'escape' on, you didn't pay attention to the road ahead and bumped into someone.

Knowing that you're now in trouble, you looked up to see who caught you in the act. You saw the same deformed jaw and the same pair of piercing brown eyes that could stare straight into your soul and they did, giving you a chill down your spine.

"Havik, was it?" You asked, to which he nodded "Princess" that was all he said.

There were a few seconds of silence that made you feel more and more awkward and scared that you would get in trouble with your mother. "I can take you back now and nobody finds out, or you could whine like a little girl and every person in Outworld will find out". When you heard his voice so close you felt afraid of what would happen, so you nodded and walked back to where you came from, feeling the same creepy presence following you closely, until you reach the door to your room.

Since neither of you wanted to be forced to answer questions in the morning, you both avoided anything and anyone that could figure it out. You succsessfully got to your door, but a guard was approaching the corner to enter the hallway. You panicked. You didn't know what to do, you've never really been at risk of being caught, so you froze up. You could feel Havik getting frustrated too, so he did the first thing that came to mind: push you into your room. You didn't catch on his plan, so, keeping quiet, you grabbed his arm for a grip, causing the both of you to fall into the bedroom.

You hear a frustrated grunt as the man pushed himself off of the ground, as you used your nightstand to help yourself up. "Sorry.." you mumbled. "You just had to do that, didn't you?" He sighed, annoyed. "Hey, I apologised. It's not my fault you like pushing people"

"I don't think you're using sarcasm with the right person, princess" he said on a low voice as he walked close to you. You had nowhere to back into, since your bed was immediately behind you. With every word Havik said, you felt chills, seeing every muscle in his jaw move as he spoke. Your curiosity took the best of you, and you simply could not hold back "Did it hurt..? The face?".

That question got him by surprise, seeing his eyes widen slightly. Since his face, from his nose down, had no skin, it could immitate no emotion anymore, so his eyes learned to express more than they would normally. Evem though Havik could regenerate, he chose not to with his face, for some reason. "Like hell" was all he said.

He walked over to the door to get out "Wait!" You stopped him in his track. He turned around, curious of what you had to say. "If you walk out there might be some guards...and I don't think you'd want the trouble" you continued, tilting your head over to the window. "Fair enough" he replied, walking to the window, sliding it open. "Until next time, Y/n" was all he said before he jumped.

Heading back to bed, you thought little to nothing about the encounter, but as you laid in bed, having a few moments to relax and empty your head, you thought of the moments you spent together in your room. Then something clicked in your head: 'he didnt call me by my name, did he?' You thought confused. "..He did." You mumbled. And so, you spent the rest of the night overthinking about those words over and over again, until you fell asleep.

Helloooo! I tried to do something a little less lovey-dovey over here. I'm not very proud of it, but i tried to go with this idea to the end.

Right when j finished i got multiple ideas that I could use for other characters lol.
