Cassie and the others arrive back at the Special Forces base. They see Sub-Zero and Scorpion, talking to Fujin.

Fujin: What happened?

Cassie Cage: Goro and Kintaro, Raiden recruited them.

Fujin: Just as I feared, Raiden has built an army.

Scorpion: We have to stop them, Raiden will destroy each realm, that he sees is a threat to Earthrealm.

Jax: But how do we stop a god?

Johnny Cage: We stop him together.

Takeda: I agree with Johnny, we have to stop Raiden.

Fujin: I must speak with the Elder Elder Gods, they will be able to help us find a way to save Raiden.

Cassie Cage: I hope there is a way.

Fujin: I will return shortly.

Fujin then teleports away in a gust of wind, hoping to find out a way to save Raiden.

Kung Jin: Well, what do we do?

Johnny Cage: We find Sonya, she must still be with Raiden.

Jax: Johnny, I want to find her too, but we don't know where they are.

Cassie Cage: He's right dad, right now we have to have a little faith in Fujin, we'll get them both back.

Meanwhile, Raiden and his followers enter the Netherrealm, hoping to have more people join his cause.

Rain: The Netherrealm...

Dark Raiden: Let's not waste time, follow me to Shinnok's Spire.

Raiden leads his followers to Shinnok's Spire, where D'Vorrah is guarding the door.

D'Vorrah: This one will not let you pass.

Dark Raiden: I seek an audience with Liu Kang and Kitana, you will take us there.

D'Vorrah: Follow me...

Meanwhile, Fujin speaks with the Elder Gods, attempting to find a solution to Raiden's Dark Form.

Fujin: Elder Gods, I am glad you are here, Raiden has wrecked havoc in Outworld, and he looks to destroy the other realms.

Elder Gods: We are aware of your plight Fujin.

Fujin: I need your guidance, I need to know how to save Raiden.

Elder Gods: There is no saving Raiden.

Fujin: What?

Elder Gods: When Raiden purified the Jinsei, he took in all of the negative energies that poisoned it.

Fujin: No, there has to be a way!

Elder Gods: There is only one way to save Raiden... You must kill him.

Fujin: But... He is the protector of Earthrealm.

Elder Gods: This decision pains us to, but it must be done.

Fujin: I understand...

Elder Gods: We are sorry Fujin, we wish there was another option.

Fujin: No, you are all right, there isn't.

Elder Gods: Very well, we have spoken... Godspeed Fujin.

As the Elder Gods fade from sight, Fujin contemplates the information that he had just heard.

Fujin: We have no choice, we have to stop Raiden, even if that means his death.

Fujin then teleports back to the Special Forces base, sharing the information that he has just heard.

Cassie Cage: Fujin! What have you learned?

Fujin: There is only one way to save Raiden... Death.

Scorpion: You're going to kill him, kill Raiden?

Sub-Zero: This is madness!

Johnny Cage: Wait a minute, I'm all for saving Raiden, but killing him? That's a tall order.

Jax: I agree with Cage, the man is still protector of Earthrealm.

Fujin: When Raiden dies, the Elder Gods will name a new Protector of Earthrealm.

Cassie Cage: But Fujin, he is your friend.

Fujin: It won't be easy, but it must be done. I will do anything in the name of good, to protect Earthrealm, and it's people. Just as Raiden did before.

Cassie Cage: All right... We're with you Fujin, all of us.

Kung Jin: You do realize that we are going up against Raiden, and his army right?

Cassie Cage: That's right.

Kung Jin: Then we're gonna need a team.

Hey guys, how about that huh? The only way to save Raiden, is to kill him. But, before that can happen, a kombatant will die. You will have to stay tuned to find out.
