Finch actually asked Lark to have coffee instead of breaking into her flat again.

"What's your name again?" Lark had asked him while she made his coffee. Apparently, Lark swayed her hips while she made coffee and Finch had no choice but to die of uncomfortableness.

By the time Lark looked over her shoulder, Finch had recovered and said, "Finch Barstow."

"Named after a finch I see."

"And you're named after a lark I see," Finch initated her with a smile.

"Yes, you are quite right," Lark turned and sat his mug in front of him, scooting the coffee creamer and sugar closer to his reach.

Finch poured in a little coffee creamer and added in five sugars before taking a sip. When he was done, he was met with confused blueish eyes.

"How do you drink your coffee so fast?" Lark's eyebrows furrowed into a 'v'.

Finch shrugged, "I think coffee is like hot chocolate."

"It's a whole different thing," She replied, adding in her own condiments.

"I have no willpower to finish things unless I pretend they are my favorite foods."

"That's odd."

"I'm a whole lotta odd," Finch grinned, hoping she'd grin back, which she did.

They sat in silence as Lark sipped her coffee, and Finch took in the area around him. He wasn't able to see it in the dark, but he very much regretted seeing it now.

Her flat looked like a tornado of children came through and made it their own. There were kid drawings held by kiddie magnets to her fridge and crafts on a nearby shelf. Lark even had a toy box and everything a child would need.

"Do you have kids?" Finch blurted out and when he realized what he said, he looked down at his feet.

"Oh," Lark chuckled, "No, I don't. All of this is for my job, but I do want kids of my own someday."

"What do you do?" He said. Finch couldn't really stand massive amounts of children, or anything children related. Children made him feel older than he really was.

"I work at the daycare not too far from here. I also babysit kids from there, too," Lark smiled her bright smile at him. Finch really felt like he was sitting in front of some Disney princess.

"Is that why you wake up so early?"

"Yeah, I need to prepare things for the day," She tucked a strand of her black hair behind her ear and took another sip of her coffee.

"Seriously, how old are you? I've never met someone so... mature," Finch laughed and it wasn't long until Lark joined him.

"I'm twenty-three, and I'll take that as a compliment," Lark snorted. That set them both into another laugh fest.

"I like this better than breaking into your house," Finch said after catching his breath.

"You really should have asked me to have coffee first," She chuckled.
