The Scarlet eyes part 1

In the moriarty household, Albert was sitting reading the news paper about the slashers death and the merry weather's youngest sons killer reveal, he frowned as his eyes wandered towards a old pocket watch lying in the desk, a gift from someone dear to him

In the past

In the suburbs of 1866

Some men were looking at a news paper article of the horse race "So then What about the up coming westics cup?" One of the questioned

"Which horse to bet on?"

"Might I suggest the one who win it" the man with the red hue on his face says, the other man rolled his eyes "Right like anybody could know that in time"

"John strikers steed" a young voice said, and looked to see a young boy, who was dressed in noble clothes and a top hat, and with a cane

"I said the steed belonging the to trainer, John striker will win the race" he repeated

"Oh yeah?" The man holding the paper asked intrigued "And your certain?"

"Nothing in life is certain, But the odds are favourable" the boy remarked

"You know" the other mans went into thought "Somehow this kid also predicted the winners of the last race" he remembered

"Tell me lad, You able to see into the future?" The one with the red hue asked curiously

The boy gave a closed eye smile "No sir, But horse racing is like any other game
By studying the figures you can win 80 percent of the time" he tipped his hat to them then walked away as they watched

"Studying the figures he says" one of the men murmured "He says can you really predict winners By tallying numbers?"

"Search me.." the red hue man shrugged

"Well he is upper class after all, Boys got that fancy learning, not like us commoners" the taller man says arms crossed

As the boy walked he heard the woman selling flowers call out and approached him "Young master, I'm sorry but I need your advice" and gestured to the white flowers she carried in her basket "When I keep them at home they wither up" she explained

He inspected them then said " I would suggest adding just a splash of vinegar to which ever pail you use to water them" he says

"Oh" she says rather surprised "Some vinegar? And that'll keep them fresh?"

"Yes, But only a little bit" he stated then heard the voice of another man "There he is! I wanted to thank you for all your help" he says talking his hat off "I set up some Strychnine just like you said and rats poof Completely disappeared, For you a token of my thanks" he lifted up some small bread buns in a news paper

"Your too kind" he smiled and took the small bag " I gladly accept"

A carriage pulled up with the family symbol, the boy noticed and saw his brother Albert "Brother! Out and about town I see?" He smiled

"Indeed I had business to attend to, But headed home, Do you care to join me?" He asked

"Sure" he replied getting in

"A smartly dressed lad like that, And you'd think I know who they were" an old woman says watching with The man who gave the boy bread "One of the sons of the moriarty family" he said

"Oh"

"On the left is the oldest, Mr Albert" he revealed "And the other is master William"

The woman perked up at the second name "It's strange, That younger brother
I could have sworn he looked different than that before"

On the way home, they began to have a conversation lYou seem to be as popular as ever" Albert smiled "So what sort of advice were they in need of this time?" He asked

"Just a few simple matters, Betaining to culturing and gambling" the boy replied

"You've become quite the consultant to the Towns people, Regardless of they're predicament, Continue being that mind palace until it becomes a wonder of the world, And a benefit to all the people" Albert says making the boy smile "Thank you, I am endeavouring to do so" he then looked down and realised the small bag he carried "Oh, I nearly forgot, Gift from the baker whom I advised the other day on how to deal With his mouse problems" he explained

"Then I suppose you could call them your just deserts" Albert chuckled "You really aut to share them with Louis, I won't breath a word of it to anyone" he promised

"That's very kind of you" the boy gently smiled

"No" Albert says making him look at him confused "If my parents find out, There will be hell to pay" he says seriously as he takes one and breaks it in half "It seems like we're partners in crime" he smiled

Making the boy in front of him happy

They then arrived back to the manor, the older brother stepper out to see younger brother outside sweeping "Louis!" He called out, making his brother turn and smile at him

"Welcome back home brother" he greeted, before he fell to his knees coughing, his brother rushing to his side "What are you doing?! You should still be in bed!" He exclaimed

Someone walked stood in the doorway and that someone was Simon, the butler, he glaring down at them "The boys limps work, So I don't see why he can't be obsuse, But never mind him, Who gave you permission to ride in the family carriage?..." he questioned

"I did!" Someone yelled and saw Albert walking towards them, looking really angry
"Mr Albert!" He vowed as the boy walkers up to them "Welcome back home sir-"
"I let him ride along in the carriage" Albert stated interrupting "Are you satisfied!"

Simon was silent, before talking again "There's no denying you have a generous heart mr Albert, But you need to maintain an appropriate distance from these two or I'll be reprimanded by her lady ship"

"Louis, Hide these" his brother handed him the treat from behind him in secret

"Remove that coat immediately" Simon ordered glaring at the boy "You maybe cloaked in mr alberts hand me downs but they're still wasted on the likes of you" Albert looked sad as his brother took the jacket off, along with the hat, the boots "You dare to dress yourself in such costly attire and stroll around town, One could scarcely believe not so long ago You were living on the streets begging for scraps" he glared at them "To think Now I'm serving two brats pulled from the gutter, Lower than myself....There's no greater shame"

"Simon!" Albert snapped, making the man shut up "You speak too freely!" He glared

"But mr Albert these wastes-" another joined the conversation "What's all the commotion?" Gaining everyone's attention The butler turned and bow "Except my apologies, Master William.."

Before the brothers came to the manor

After recovering from his cold, he was heading on his way to the school he volunteered at, just as he passes his brothers door, it opened and he saw him "Going out?" His brother asked, causing Albert to stop in his tracks "Where to?" Making him turn his head "The school, You are aware that's where I volunteer" Albert reminded

"Even if you are doing it for charity, I still think you have one morbid sense of curiously" his brother William smirked "It's beyond me why you would choose To surround yourself with the disgusting lower classes" Albert didn't want to look at him, as his words disgusted him "It goes against the very principles of being a noble, We do everything we can to avoid them, yet you run to meet they're embrace, Remember that cold you had last week? I bet I know where you caught it from" his eyes narrowed and he got out of there as fast as he could, on his way to the school

'I hate it...Everything' he thought as he looked out the window, seeing the British flag 'This whole world Our nation, And it's cursed system, A mark placed on the soul at birth...It's sickening'

Before he got there, When the merry Weathers were alive, Maria volunteered at the contribution school without him knowing

she stepped out of the carriage and was greeted by the old woman " miss Maria! Delightful to see you again!" She smiled warmly

" it's good to see you too madam, how is everyone?" Maria asked

" they certainly missed you, the brothers especially, they've been assuring the other children you'll be coming back soon" the woman replied as a woman energetic little girl saw the red head and her smile immediately brightened

" miss Maria!" A little girl ran up to her, so she kneeled down and accepting m the hug " hey you" she picked up the little girl, who hugged the girl as she did so " will you read the book mr moriarty gave us?" She asked the girl

" of course, why wouldn't I to someone adorable as you?" Maria cooed as she ticked the little girl who couldn't help but laugh " look! it's miss Maria!" The other kids ran to see her

" miss Maria!"

" hello everyone!" She smiled greeting them with hugs " see I told you she'd be here soon" the blond boy says appearing

" hey!" She smiled " how's your brother?" She asked " he's okay, he too missed you, will you be reading to us again?" He asked her smiling warmly

" of course!" Meanwhile the two woman in the background smiled

Time skip

the elder son of the moriarty arrived to the Hatton garden ragged school, greeting the two woman at the entrance "I beg you, Forgive me my absence last week, but it seems I caught a bit of a cold" he says

" there's nothing to forgive lord moriarty, your visits are the high point of the children and brightened they're day" the older woman states " but frankly, shouldn't you be back at home resting and building up your strength?"

He smiled sadly looked down "I would..But It hardly feels like home these days"

"Oh..." the woman says confused

"There you are!" He hears a little girl thinking she was talking to him, he perked back up "Can you read this book to us?"

"Of course I'll be right ther-" he stopped when he saw her run past to the group of kids, two he didn't recognise, and a young girl with red hair who looked like a noble herself, his eyes widened at the sight of her, his true friend  "Here! this is the book mr moriarty gave us to read" she says holding the book out to the girl who took it

"Those two boys, I don't I've seen them before" Albert says

"Ah yes" the patron smiled "We took the brothers last week while you were away" she looked to the young one called Louis "The younger one Is so sickly and frail, The poor thing, That aside Both literate and even knows Latin" then moved to the older boy "More over, the more older boy is knowledgeable in a wide range of subjects, Specifically maths and chemistry, Whenever he opens his mouth he leaves adults speechless, Before they're arrival here, I understand they would venture to the British museums reading room Unintended, Oddly enough The head librarian asked if we could take charge of them" she explained

'An orphan With the intellect to leave even adults speechless Initially I simply regarded him as some sort of prodigy, that was all, nothing else triggered my interest'

The boy then looked to the beautiful girl reading to the children and the brothers "And Maria?" He asked curiously " how long has she been volunteering here?"

"Ah lady Maria merry weather" the woman smiled fondly "Her father is the one who helps fund the place, she comes here to entertain the children and also teaches them, such a kind heart she has" the boy looked at her in awe, his heart a flutter and his face flush from her beauty

' but, that soon changed'

One night, His father went to a party, where duchess Penieres comments how she will be taking a orphan in

As another nobility decides to do the same to impress her most likely, Earl Moriarty feeling pressured of having to do charity, but did so regardless if he didn't want to so nobody would think of him as a heartless Perron

Next day

as he was leaving for the school he could hear his mother and fathers argument "Are you mad?! What do you mean we're taking in an orphan?!" She exclaimed

"My word is final, There's no point in us arguing" the Earl replied

"And my word?!" She says in anger " Our family already has to outstanding sons Is that not good enough for you? What's worst it'll be an orphan from god only knows where!" She yelled enraged, Albert held in his anger

"The nobility have certain obligations, Including acts of charity, You should know this" he muttered while her eyes widened in realisation, and narrowed them again

"Ha It's the duchess peniere isn't it?" She questioned, making him sweat "The woman's obsessed like those dreadful merry weathers With helping the poor!" His mother spat "She put you up to this Didn't she? Give her this message! We decline Either you tell her Or I will!"

Albert turned to leave, not wanting to hear anymore, especially after what his mother said about the girls family

"Don't be a fool! I couldn't! It's shame going back on my word!"

"You must!"

Time skip

He is then seen at the school standing with the old woman, observing the beautiful flowers

"They bloomed magnificently" he complimented smiling "Oh yes, But only because I took that Young mans gardening advice" she says as they're attention went to the older brother talking with the other children "I'm not sure if he read it in a book somewhere but regardless, The range of subjects he knows is astounding"

"So do you think that you could teach us how to do maths?" One of the kids asked him "If you know your maths you could make loads of money in the city with a real job!"

"No way!" The little girl exclaimed "It's his turn to read from the next chapter of our book!"

"Never mind all that school rubbish! Tell us how to win at chess?" Another says as the teacher came holding a basket of clothes

"Children, " she sighed "Really, You can't expect him to fulfil all your requests"

"But what about you teacher?" One of the questioned "You asked them to make some cough medicine And he knew everything about it"

She began embarrassed and turned her head away "B-But that's different!" They kids started laughing, including the boy While Albert smiled fondly at them

Just then he felt hands cover his eyes and a voice " guess who?~" he smirked knowing who it was, and gently cupped her hands " judging by the sweet gently voice, with a hint of mischief, and these tiny hands" which she scoffed at " Maria?" Removing her hands and seeing her pouting face " I don't have tiny hands!" She complained with both hands clenched and raised to her chest  " yes you do" he smirked and grinned " you have baby hands!"

" hey!" He laughed and she joins in

Later

Albert is called to his fathers study
"You want me to select an orphan to be our ward, Are you sure?" He asked in disbelief

His father but the cigar in the ash tray"You heard me, Since you regularly volunteer at that school You know they're stock, Go find us a suitable candidate, Preferably one that's well behaved, won't cause us any trouble"

His eyes darkened by his fathers attitude, and his words, but reluctantly agreed "Yes...Father"

The next day Albert goes to the school, he sees the older brother talking with men holding shovels, he seemed to be drawing something in the dirt "According to these calculations one person can advance at a rate of ruffly ten inches per hour, Taking into account the firmness of the soil, In order to dig a big distance of forty yards it would require a week of labor" he explained

"Sounds rather complicated to me" he heard a voice and turned to see Albert  "Lord moriarty..."

One of the man kicked the dirt, wiping away the calculations "What do ya say fellas?" He says to the rest "I guess we better get back to our work then, If we don't get a move on we'll never finish today" they then left, leaving only the two boys "I hope I wasn't interrupting" Albert said

"No" the boy replied "Anyway we finished the most important part" he stated

"Your like an advisor for the towns people
Actually more of a consultant" Albert remarked "The truth is, This is how I've gotten by When I help others" he says as he watched the men leaving "They give me food or money or gratitude, It's a more peaceful way of living, As apose to stealing, Anyway if I come across someone in a dire Situation and I'm able to help them" he says turning to Albert "Then I'd like to do whatever I can for them" he smiled

Later Albert was getting into the family carriage, he overheard Some men's conversation "Did you hear the news?
Someone managed to sneak into old
Mr Thompson's strong box" one of the men stated

"Yeah he did, Apparently made off with all the valuables in the cellar" the second muttered

"So some thief stole all the money he extorted from the poor, It's serves him right" the third said, with no remorse

"Still though, The bloke who did it must be something else, I mean digging a side tunnel from the sewers to sneak in"

"Got that right"

Albert began getting in, But one of the men then stated "No small fee, Tunnelled in for 40 yards"

Meanwhile Albert was pondering in the backseat, thinking about what the man said, and the boys calculations 'Impossible...It's only my imagination'

He then arrived back at the school where the two woman greeted him yet again "Welcome Lord moriarty, How lovely to see you again" she then noticed something about him "Is something the matter?
Your completion is rather pale today" she stared

"I...No I'm fine" he assured

"You can find all the children assembled in the chapel" the teacher said, making him immediately head for the chapel confusing them

As he got to the doors, he could hear the conversation he was having with the other children "Then The nobility are good people right?"

"Very true, Everyday they're wear the finest clothes, Eat delicious food, And fall asleep in they're warm beds, That's on account of they're forefathers, And they're contributions to this great land,The upper class are important" the little girl smiled nodding while the boy next to her Frowned looking down

"Perhaps...Lady Maria I understand, she and her family contribute to society so much...But they're not all good like them" he says referring to the other nobles unlike the merry weathers, and the other children began contributing to the conversation

"They sneer down at me from they're carriages...Treat me like rubbish" the tallest says sadly

"My poor mother" the girl next to him frowned "She worked for a rock man and he put her through hell....She ended up dying because Of it"

The blond boy still looking down, spoke "Your right...They are human, And can be corrupted...So then" he then perked up "What happens when a bad nobleman shows up?" He questioned the Mk
"Well? Remember what I told you before?"

"We fight em!" The bright little girl cheered, completely shocking Albert

"We fight em! Kill em all!" The two kids who spoke about they're treatment yelled

Soon all of them chanted "Fight the rich!
Kill the rich! Bring death to every rotten noble! Fight the rich! Kill the rich! Bring death to every rotten noble!" And outside the doors, leaning against the wall still in horror, Albert listened 'All we have to do to make this country perfect...Is to rid it of villainy?...' the image of that smiling bit still lingered in his mind 'Under gods watchful eye...He sat there preaching the ways of evil...In order to make the world just'

Albert walked through the halls of his home, when a maid rushed pass, accidentally bumping his shoulder "...I'm terribly sorry..." he noticed her hand bleeding and she quickly ran crying

"Your back home early brother" he looked and saw his brother, come out of the room the maid ran out of  "What have you done?" He questioned narrowing his eyes

His brother lifts the fork which was stained with blood "Nothing of consequence, Just disciplining a careless servant" he smirked "I swear these people, They bring it upon themselves you know, they can't even make a cup of tea without screwing up Suppose I'll have to talk to father, And have her put back on the streets"

This made alberts rage increase, that night as he lies in his head, he couldn't sleep, too many thoughts overwhelmed his mind, his own and others

'Your like an advisor for the towns people
Actually more of a consultant I would say'

'The truth is, This is how I've gotten by
When I help others, They give me food or money or gratitude'

'I swear these people, They bring it upon themselves you know'

'We fight em!m

'We fight em! Kill em all!'

'Bring death to every rotten noble'

He sat up in shock, at the last though of the children, he remained sitting up, fist clenched against his bed, the thing the boy said came to Mind

'if I come across someone in a dire Situation, and I'm able to help them, Then I'd like to do whatever I can for them'

After that thought he went to see the boy in the chapel "So you wanted to speak with me?" He asked

Albert tilted his head down slightly, then said "death to every rotten noble..." but instead of shock, the boy still smiled "You over heard that did you?"

"I found it to be a outstanding lecture" Albert admitted "Still making an enemy of the nobility, Means picking a quarrel with the whole country....Can you fight them?" He asked "The entire system?"

The boys smirk never left his face as he lifted his head up and answered "That's the idea" which caught Albert off guard "Our lives should be seen as equal and value, We all deserve the right to happiness, But in this country that possibility doesn't exist, It's a luxury only the rich can afford, This class system is a curse on civilisation, It causes peoples hearts to become poisoned and twisted as a result it gives rise to devils" he be a explaining "Therefore the opposite must also her true" the light shining in looked pure golden, as he stood there

once the demon is exorcised the heart can become pure and the curse lifted, Mark my words, This country will be purified" alberts eyes widened  "Are you going to report me to Scotland Yard?" Which caught his attention "As a nobleman, I bet you'd like that" the boy turned his head slightly "To see me taken away in shackles"
