Aryan's P.O.V.

I woke up to my alarm, feeling a little weight on my chest. I looked down and couldn't help but smile. There she is, the light in my dark world—my sister, my twin. She's the only one I truly love, the one I care about. I live for her, and I'd die for her if I had to.

She's sleeping like a little angel—because that's exactly what she is. One of her hands is resting on my stomach, her leg is draped over mine, and her head is on my arm. Without thinking, I start to gently stroke her hair, a smile spreading across my face.

Ha! How much I wish I could stay like this all day. It's when I'm like this that I feel like the happiest person in the world, holding an angel in my arms. But I know I can't.

So I carefully lift her head and lay it on her pillow. To replace myself, I slide in Tanner... Oops, I forgot to introduce him! Tanner is her big, white, and blue teddy bear. He's been with us since we were little, a constant presence in her life. He's her comfort when I'm not around.

I watch her for a moment as she cuddles up to Tanner, completely at ease. It's moments like these that remind me why I'm here, why I do what I do. She's the reason I fight, the reason I work so hard. I can't let anything happen to her. As long as she's happy and safe, that's all that matters to me.

Well, Ariel has two best friends. The first is, of course, me—duh! And the second is Tanner, the teddy bear.

Sorry, let's get back to our topic.

Yes, I replaced my body with Tanner so that 'she could have someone to cuddle with.' Those were her words, not mine!

I made my way to the bathroom, brushed my teeth, took a shower, and got dressed.

I go back to my room and see Sleeping Beauty in same position, I leave her. I shake my head smiling softly. Then I gently start to wake her up.

"Baby, wake up!" I say softly.

She doesn't even flinch.

"Hey! Sleepyhead, wake up. It's 7:30."

No response.

"Ari, wake up," I say, stroking her hair. I know that touch usually makes people relax, but sometimes it works to wake her up, too. When she feels my hand, she knows I'm trying to get her moving.

A faint smile crosses her lips, and she turns toward me, cuddling into my side, abandoning her bear. I give the bear a smirk of triumph.

What? I can be a little childish around my twin.

Are you sure you're only a "little" childish?

"Shut up, brain! I'm just a bit childish."

Yeah, right! (sarcastically)

"Shut the fuck up!" I growl internally to silence my thoughts.

Whatever. Now focus on waking her up. 🙄

Oh, yeah! Right. Thanks, 🙄.

"Ari, baby, you have to wake up," I say, brushing her hair with my fingers while her head rests on my chest.

"I don't wanna wake up, bubby," she murmurs, pressing her head against me even more.

"And why's that?" I ask, amused.

"'Cause I don't wanna go to school," she whines.

I chuckle. She's forgotten today is Sunday.

"Ohhh, okay. So I guess I'll just have to go to the office by myself," I say, feigning disappointment to hide my grin.

As expected, she sits up instantly at the mention of "office."

"I'm up! I'm up! I'll be back in 15 minutes," she says, rushing to the bathroom.

I chuckle at her antics. The thing is, she loves coming to the office with me. But I don't always take her. Only when she begs a lot or when I need to bribe her with something. Everyone at the office loves her. And if they don't, I'll deal with them (smirk 😏).

I go to my home office and call the manager to let him know that Ari is coming with me today, so he can make sure everything's set up.

I'm busy with my files when someone bursts into my office. And I think you can guess who it is, because 'no one is allowed, and no one dares to enter my office' except for one little girl.

There she is, grinning widely, wearing a knee-length pink frock, her hair down and flowing.

How much I wish to cover her legs. But I know she doesn't like that. She's too innocent to see the cruelty of the world. She's too good to see the bad in the worst people.

"You look so beautiful, Princess," I tell her.

"T-Thank you," she says, blushing shyly.

I chuckle at her.

"Let's go, Ri, we're getting late!" she exclaims as she grabs my arm and starts pulling me toward the car.

[Aryan's Car]

Time Skip (They reached office)

"Wowwww! It's totally changed. Last time I came, it was just plain white. Now it's so different—amazing, elegant, modern, and—"

I cut off her excited rant with a soft chuckle, shaking my head a little.

"That's because the last time you came here was two and a half years ago," I say, smiling as she makes an exaggerated "O" shape with her mouth and then grins.

"Shall we go in, madam?" I ask, already knowing the answer.

"Yess, yess, and yess!" she says, beaming, her hand firmly in mine as she hops up and down.

I chuckle at her excitement. She's like a burst of sunshine, full of energy and enthusiasm.

And before she can drag me toward the entrance again, I start walking with her, hand in hand.

Well, let's start the day.
