3rd P.O.V

S.J went and woke up the dragons while Em went to wake the exceeds. 

“Are you okay with opening another gate”, Bix asked.  

“I’ll be fine”, Lucy smiled, “If I tried to open two more then we would be worried”

“I thought you said that the dragons don’t feed off of your magic”, Bixlow said, his face covered with fear, his eyes full of worry. 

“They don’t”, she explained, “They don’t feed off my magic but that doesn’t mean opening gate after gate gets any easier. Actually, each gate I open takes up more magic than the last”

“Then why open them in the first place”, Bix asked. 

“Do I really have to go in to detail now”

“No, after breakfast”

“Deal”

{After breakfast}

After everyone ate they went with their respective mentors to train. 

“Hey Rev”, Bixlow called out. Said dragon turned around and glared at her pupil. She hated that name, but she was slowly growing fond of it. 

“Yes”, Ravena asked, her tone just as sharp as usual. 

“Lucy and I need to talk, can I have the morning training off today”, he asked nervously. 

Ravena thought about it. Bixlow was a natural in hearing, and he’d been working very hard to impress her. She looked at the young man in front of her. His eyes pleaded, she sighed and decided he deserved a break, both of her students did.

“Very well, you may have the whole day off,'' she said, crossing her arms and walking away. 

Bixlow smiled before running off to find Lucy. 

{With Lucy}

“Hey Lu”, Cosmos asked as her threw a punch at Lucy. 

“Yeah what’s up”, Lucy answered, dodging the punch. 

“Why is Bixlow coming this way”

Lucy stopped and looked behind her. All of a sudden she felt the air in her lungs be knocked out of her.She heard Cosmos yell her name before everything went black. 

Laxus’ P.O.V

To say I’m freaking out would be a lie. I’m more than freaking out. Having your boyfriend come screaming telling you that your little sister isn’t waking up will put anyone into overprotective bear mode. 

I ran and ran, feeling the presence of Freed and Thunder behind me. 

“What happened?” I asked as I entered the cave. Cosmos was bawling her eyes out, Ever and Em were trying to calm her down. Ripley and Bix were next to Lu who was looking really pale. Jason layed next to her head while the other exceeds tried to calm down Crystal. 

“It’s all my fault”, Cosmos cried, “I- We…I'm sorry”

“Comos it’s okay”, Em said softly, “It’s not your fault”

“What happened”, I asked again. 

“I was running to find Lucy when Cosmos asked Lu why I was coming to them. Lucy stopped fighting and looked behind her. That’s when Cosmos caught Lucy off guard and kicked her in the stomach,” Bix explained. 

My first though was to yell at Cosmos, but by the look on her face she never meant for this to happen. 

“Cosmos calm down”, Ripley pleased, “She’ll be okay”

“Will she”, I asked. 

“Yes, she just got the wind knocked out which caused a quick stop to the flow of oxygen to her brain. End result, it knocked her out”, Rip explained. Everyone sighed with relief. 

“Maybe we should go to bed and open Igneel’s gate tomorrow”, Happy suggested quietly, “Lushe need to be better before she does any big magic”

“You’re right Happy”, Em smiled, “Let’s take a nap. I know it’s early but I think it will be good for us”

Everyone nodded, though it had only been three hours since they woke up they were all exhausted. Each one of them trained their hardest the minute they got to their training grounds. 

{After nap}

3rd P.O.V

Bixlow was the first to wake up. By the way the sun looked it had to be four in the afternoon. 

“Bix”, came a small voice from behind him. Turning around he found Lucy looking puzzled. 

“Lu, you up”, he said happily. Lucy smiled and walked towards him. 

“Yeah, what happened”, she asked. 

“You and Cosmos were training and she kicked you in the stomach so hard the air flow of your brain stopped knocking you out”, Bixlow explained. 

“How long was I out”

“Just a few hours. When Cosmos wakes up tell her it’s not her fault. She was crying like crazy”

“I’ll tell her,'' she chuckled. 

“Good”, Bixlow smiled, “Do you think you’re ready to open Igneel’s gate today”

“Yeah, I’m okay”

“You sure”

“A hundred and ten percent”

“Good, you wanna do it before or after everyone else wakes up”, Bix asked. Lucy giggled and had an evil look in her eyes. 

“Before”, she answered. 

“Alright then”

The two walked outside, Bixlow moved and gave Lucy space to open the gate. 

“I, Lucy Dreyar, Open the gate of the Fire dragon king, Igneel”

In front of Lucy formed a red magic circle. Igneel walked out of the circle, he was in his human form. Tall, tan,  bright scarlet hair, and deep, dark red eyes. 

“Hello, Lucy”, Igneel said, 

“Hello Igneel”

“I apologize for Natsu’s behavior. And I think training Happy is a great idea, I look forward to working with him”

“And I’m glad to be working with you to”, said a small, high pitch voice said. Behind Lu was a sleepy Happy. 

“Ah, Happy”, Igneel smiled, walking over and kneeling in front of Happy, “It’s nice to meet you”

“Nice to meet you to Mr.Igneel,” Happy said, smiling shyly. 

“Just Ig works”

Meanwhile Lucy and Bixlow are cooing in the background.
