3rd P.O.V

To say that it was a shock to everyone to see Freed curled up to Laxus asleep would be an understatement.

"WHAT THE FUCK", Thunder yelled. The Fairy Tail wizards rolled their eyes. For years it had been obvious that they held feeling for one another. Even Natsu could tell, and he was fucking dense.

Evergreen hit him over the head with her fan.

"What was that for", the thunder dragon snarled at her.

"Don't you DARE wake Laxus up", she replied, not even fazed at the dragons murderous scowl, "It late, let's go sleep"

Everyone nodded. The dragons and exceeds turned in to non-human forms.

When the barley the next morning it was Ravena who woke up first. She turned in to human form and walk towards her pupil.

"S.J", she whispered, "Wake up child"

"Five more minutes mom", S.J mumbled. Ravena rolled her eyes. She kneeled down and poked S.J's neck. S.J shot up like a jack in the box. She whipped her head from side to side.

"Wha-what", she stuttered, then her eyes landed on Ravena, "Oh, it's only you"

"What's that supposed to mean", Ravena demanded. S.J shrugged and gave her dragon a deadpan glare.

"Come, child, we need to work on your scenes"

"Can I come", a voice said. Behind Raven stood Bixlow.

"Why", Ravena and S.J asked. Ravena being much harsher in her question.

"Well, um, you see... I want to be able to protect someone, and well the whole reason we came here was to train and well, yeah", Bixlow finally managed to say.

"I don't see a problem with it, what do you thin mom", S.J asked.

"I'll allow it, come we're wasting time"

Walking out of the cave they headed towards one of the mountains. On the way there S.J tried to awaken her senses. Her sight was as good if not better than her dragons, her nose, unfortunately, couldn't reach more than five yards away, and her hearing, she couldn't hear anything clearly that was over ¾ of a mile away.

"So what are you starting with", Bixlow asked randomly. Ravena stopped walking and nodded her head in satisfaction.

"First you mean we, I will be teaching you blood dragon magic, 2 we will be working on heightening your senses", Ravena replied, her armed crossed.

S.J's P.O.V

I nodded, understanding that I needed to work on the three important senses of a dragon slayer, sight, smell, and hearing.

"What senses will we work on first", I asked. Ravena looked at me then around us. I did the same, only now noticing where we were. It was a large clearing. The sun was hidden behind the trees still. The grass smelled as if it was freshly mowed. The leaves danced in the the small warm breeze.

"It's early, most animals will be out around this time", Ravena pointed out, "we will be starting with hearing"

"Um, question, why does blue eyes have to do this to", Bixlow asked. Ravena looked at her new pupil.

"S.J has horrible hearing and smell", Ravena replied bluntly. Bixlow nodded, understanding what the dragon meant. "Now I need both of you to sit down"

I sat down exactly where I was standing, Bixlow sat on a tree stump the was about two meters to my right.

"Now close your eyes, listen to the air around you, let the wind carry sounds to you", Ravena instructed.

I closed my eyes. I could hear Bixlow's breathing, focusing harder I could hear the others in the cave. Closing out my other senses I could hear the river Lucy summoned Ripley from.

"What do you hear", Ravena's voice broke through my concentration.

"I can hear the fish swimming in the river", I said. Ravena nodded.

"That good, you've improved, that's about three miles from here", she complimented, she turned to the tin face, "and you"

"I can hear something moving on top of the mountain", Bixlow replied. Ravena's eyes widened.

"The mountain is over five miles high"

"Wait, hold on, does he have better hearing than me", I asked. There's no way.

"It would appear so", Ravena said, "at the moment though"

I pouted. That's not fair. I'm the dragon slayer.

"Could we work on smell", Bixlow asked. Ravena shook her head.

"No, we will work on sight after breakfast and then smell after lunch. Our routine will be; Before sunrise work on hearing, after breakfast will be sight and after lunch work on smell. After dinner till sundown, we will work on magic, physical strength and hand to hand combat"

"Isn't that a bit early", Tin face asked. Ravena shot him a deadpan glare.

"This is what it's like training with me. Take it or leave it"

"Well let's go get breakfast", Bixlow said, "It has to be about 8 now"

I was confused. Then I looked around, the sun was now clearly above the trees. The shadow that cast down on the clearing danced along with the wind.

"When did we get out here", I asked.

"About five or five thirty", Tin faced replied.

"I didn't ask you tin face", I snapped.

"Geez blue eyes, chill", the tin face said, putting his hands up to surrender. I rolled my eyes and growled at him.

"You liiiiike her", a small voice sang. Tin face looked around.

"Dam cat, where are you", Bixlow growled.

"Cat", I asked. Bixlow nodded.

"Yeah, Natsu the fire dragon slayer has a blue cat, well exceed, named Happy", he explained. I nodded. That's when I noticed the shadow that fell right over Bixlow. Looking up was a blue exceed with a little green bag that was tied around his neck.

"I'm glad you remember me", the blue exceed, er, Happy snickered. Tin face looked up at the exceed.

"What are you doing here happy", he asked the small animal.

"Well Natsu was saying a bunch of mean things about Lushe and I decided to leave him and find Lushe", Happy explained.

"What did he say", I asked. Happy shook his head.

"Happy, what did Natsu say", Tin face asked.

"Please take me to Lushe", the small blue creature cried. Tin face sighed and nodded.

"Come here happy", Bixlow said opening his arms, "I'll carry you. You've had a long flight"

Happy nodded and flew into Bixlow's chest, clinging to the fabric of his shirt.

{Skip time back to the cave}

3rd P.O.V

"Hey guys, breakfast is ready", Lucy greeted them.

"Bix, why do you have Salamander's cat", Laxus asked. The other Fairy Tail members snapped their head towards the seith mage.

"What", Evergreen asked. Her hand stopped halfway down Em's hair.

"Happy, do you want to tell them now or after we eat", Bixlow asked softly, which surprised Lucy. He had always seemed like a pervert and unpleasant person to be around. But this past week seemed to prove her wrong.

"After, m'hungry", Happy mumbled. Bixlow nodded and held the small animal in his lap.

"Got any fish left", he asked. Happy lifted his head at the word fish. Lucy nodded. Grabbing her own breakfast she sat between her brother and Bixow.

Breakfast was, to say the least, awkward. Slowly everyone finished eating and waited patiently for the blue exceed to speak. Taking in a shaky breath Happy began.

"It happened two days after Lushe left"
