"Alright class! Today is challenge day! The new students do not have to participate but anyone with a challenge that is not new has to." Coach C yells. "Who is first?!" His voice booms through the room.

Two people, I haven't bothered to get to know step up. "What's going on anyway?" Ciel asks and Alois looks to be in agreement. "Challenge day is when people who want to battle in a friendly or enemy way, step up and battle with each other." Lexi explains.

Alois looks excited, "you mean like killing!?" He exclaims happily and I take a step away from him as Lexi explains more, "uh....no. That's what I mean." She points at the stage.

With a sense of poise and rationality." He finishes, equally angry but I know he'd never hit her. He has tried to be nice to me more than once. His name was....Tejane I think.

She sticks a manicured nail on his chest and continues, "You triflin', good for nothing type of brother

'She's probably the one spending it all with her perfect nails and such.' I deadpan. Tejane moves her finger off his chest and rolls his eyes, " I'd chime in,

The songs end and Coach C steps up, "Winners?" He holds up the girl's hand and her friends cheer and only half of her friends do....weakly. Coach C smirks and holds up Tejane's hand and everyone cheers, I even clap. They exit the stage, the girl red in embarrassment and Tejane in triumph.

"This is......stupid." Alois crosses his arms. "Well, its better than how they do it in public schools. Kids actually street fight when they're mad, considering this is a music school, they don't have restrictions on the lyrics so no fights break out." Lexi stares Alois like he's a sadist, sadly......he is.

The next few challenges go by without a hitch. Lexi was happy that Coach C hadn't made us run or work and I feel upset with that, Lexi knows why but can't stop how she feels too so I give her a smile. "I am so happy class is finally over! Let's go get some food!" She grabs my hand and pulls me out the school, Alois and Ciel following behind.

"Do you guys have money?" Lexi asks as they catch up and they give her a look. "Right, right. How bout you Tayla?" She turns to me and I nod quickly. "Kay, we're taking my car." Lexi demands and I am about to protest, "last time you drove off and hid in a meadow because you didn't want to socialize with others." She makes her point and I frown and cross my arms.

"Boys in back, girls in front." Lexi states and Alois and Ciel get in the car easily. She drives us to a local IHOP and I glare at my hands slightly as she parks. "Let's go." We all walk into the diner and sit in a booth, me between the boys and Lexi on the other side.

"Well then, you are both acting desperate." She pulls them both out of the booth and sits next to me. They both protest but shut up after she gives a dark glare. "Hello, what can I get you sweeties today?" A old woman pulls out an ordering pad and a pen.

One thing keeps repeating in my mind as a horrible reminder.

'I have no money.'
