I sit down with Kate at her table. "Hey guys, this is Tayla." She introduces me and everyone waves, giving me what looked to be sly smiles. "This is Macy, Helen, Danna and Mack." She points to each person and pulls me to sit between her and Mack.

"Is this my new girl Kate?" Mack places his arm around my waist and I stiffen. "No and if you don't remove your hand, you won't have one." I state calmly and he pulls back. "Feisty, I like it." He laughs and Kate rolls her eyes, "shut up player. Tayla isn't interested." She pulls out her and my own snacks and passes it to me.

"Why do you have her snack Kate? Are y'all sweet on each other?" I almost choke on the water I was drinking and Kate scowls. "No Helen, we're not dating." Helen scowls as well, moving her gaze to me. "So which team are you for?" I look away in embarrassment, "I'm straight."

Helen laughs and shrugs, "can't blame me for trying." Her accent is a bit country. "So anyway, what is up with the snacks?" Danna speaks up, "she's staying at my house for a while is all." Kate explains vaguely. "Oh okay, I see." Macy said as she picked at her salad.

'This lot is a bit weird... You're right, they are.' I jump, falling on my butt behind the bench. "Tayla! You alright?" Kate looks down at me and I nod my head. "I just uh.... saw a bug on the table." I mumble, all their eyes narrow but then go back to their playful demeanor. "Little Miss Feisty scared of bugs now?"

I roll my eyes and look down, 'who...are you?' I try to speak to the voice, only to get nothing in return. 'Too weird.'

Lexi's P.O.V

"Wait, wait, wait. You're telling me, Tayla is a demon?" Both Alois and Ciel nod their heads, "are you sure? I mean she's only wearing a lot of....I see what you mean. But maybe she just chose to dress like that." I cross my arms, taking in all the black they're both wearing.

"She has black fingernails." I face-palm at Alois' statement. "So you're telling me, you don't sense her as a demon but you assume because she has black nails, she is." They both glance at each other and nod. I roll my eyes, digging in my bag for one of my nail polishes.

"See this?" I open the black bottle and paint one of my nails. "What am I now?" I hold up the finger I painted, which happened to be my middle finger. Yes, it was intentional. Their eyes widen and they stare in shock. "What-? But how-? Huh?!" I shake my head, "idiots."

I move my gaze to where Kate and Tayla are seated. "My question is.....how? How could Kate even do this to Tayla? How the hell does Tayla not know? Worst of all, what are they planning?" I voice my concerns to the boys.

Tayla's P.O.V

I see that Lexi girl staring at me and Kate. "Kate....Its that girl again," I mumble. She looks back at Lexi and grabs my hand. "Come on, let's head inside, its Challenge Day and Helen will be with you." I nod, looking over at Helen. She only sends a wink in return. "Come on!" Helen yells excitedly and grabs my hand, pulling me along.

Helen's P.O.V

This girl had better be more careful, Kate....She's worse than the teachers here. Kate is basically a vulture, she isn't human. Neither am I but I don't want to do that same thing to this girl.....she seems....different. Kate, she only wants what is best for her. Meaning Kate would only keep Tayla as long as she is still of use to us.

"This is gonna be great! You'll love challenge day so much!" I shout at Tayla, making sure Kate hears. When we're out of ear and eye shot, I pull her into a janitors closet. "Wh-What are you doing?" She asks a little scared, I lean close to her. "Why don't you remember anything? What is going on and how did Kate find you?" I ask her a little harsh.

"W-Well I-I was found by Kate the night I lost my memory a-and she's helping me to r-regain it." I purse my lips, "where'd she find you?" Tayla looks a little distant, "I was at the bottom of a hill. I think I was running from something- no, someone." She shakes her head, "but that'd be weird wouldn't it?" She chuckles a little.

"Look Tayla, I don't have much time to explain. For now be aware that you can't trust Kate or anyone of her friends, this includes me. We're a type of vulture," she furrows her brow. "What do you mean 'vultures', you look completely human." I put a hand on my forehead. "Tayla you should know some things are more than it seems. You can't trust your normal eyes. Try looking at me with your wolf side."

She tries to step back but stops when she notices she's against a wall, "I don't know what you're talking about but you seem crazy!" She tries to push past me but I pin her, "listen! Just listen! I'm risking my life for you and you can't get it through your thick skull that I'm trying to help you." I hear people outside, "we have to go now. Don't tell anyone about this, or else we may both be as good as dead."

She looks scared out of her wits but nods nervously. I grab her hand and tug her out the janitors closet. Out there I'm met with the sight of.....
