Chapter 25

"Briley." Bree groaned as her sister shoved her back into the hair and make up tent. She had been in and out for the past three hours. Briley had wanted a uniform look for all of the bridesmaids but Bree was supposed to stand out. So far, Bree had had her hair up in a bun (two different ways), in a pony tail, and now had her hair straightened, which apparently, didnt look good.

"Bree! Just go with it! The wedding is in less than an hour! I have to go out my dress on!" Briley ordered sternly. She whispered something to the hair stylist before she left to go get changed. Bree sighed and sat back as the stylist picked up the curling iron. Finally, a look Bree was okay with. The stylist curled her hair in fifteen minutes flat. Bree smiled and thanked the slylist before she walked out of the tent. She quickly made her way over to the girl's tent to change into her dress. Briley had set up her own room to put on her wedding dress and to make any finishing touches. Bree slipped on her dress and packed her clothes away in her bag. She smiled as she got an idea.

She looked around, making sure no one was watching, and walked over to the building across the way. Chase had left the door open when he went inside. As she walked in, she found Adam and Leo. The room was completely empty except for the two in the center of the room.

"Adam." Bree called as she walked over. Adam smiled as she stopped just by them.

"Hello." Leo greeted. Bree laughed and nodded.

"What's up?" Adam asked. She smiled.

"Can you get Chase's keys?" Bree asked slyly. Adam frowned in confusion before he saw the bag in Bree's hand.

"Yeah, give me a second." He stated simply. Adam walked out of the room and into the busying conference set up. A few business men had arrived and were making small talk with the two CEO's of Davenport Industries.

"Chase! Can I talk with you for a second?" Adam asked as he stood next to his friend. Chase nodded and lead Adam away from the others.

"What's up?" Chase asked.

"I need your keys." Adam stated simply. Chase frowned in confusion.

"Why? You have your car here." Chase pointed out. Adam nodded.

"Yes, but I need yours." Adam repeated.

"No. Why do you need them?" Chase asked.

"So you can take a pretty lady home tonight." Adam said with a sly smile. Chase shook his head and pulled his keys out of his pocket.

"Here. But bring them back in a second." Chase ordered. Adam nodded and patted Chase on the back before racing off to the empty room. Chase stood back and glanced around the corner, trying to see if Bree was indeed with Adam and Leo. He stopped moving the second he caught sight of her. She looked beautiful. Chase couldn't bring himself to move. He saw Bree smile and take the keys from Adam before the two skipped off, and out the door. Chase wanted badly to follow, but he knew now was not the time to talk. Now, was the time to focus on the conference. He would have plenty of time to make things right with Bree, later.

Adam lead Bree over to Chase's car. Bree smiled and swiftly opened the door before she threw her bag over to the passengers side. She closed the door and locked it before she handed the keys back to Adam.

"Thanks for doing this, by the way." Bree said. Adam laughed and nodded.

"Anything to ensure that you and Chase do end up talking tonight." Adam said as he walked away from Bree and back into the conference room. Bree shook her head and walked back over to the wedding prep area. She quickly found Briley's room and entered to see her sister putting on her earrings.

"You look beautiful." Bree said as she made her way further into the room. Briley smiled back at her sister through the mirror.

"You do too. I thought your like your hair better that way." Briley pointed out as she noticed her sister's hair was finally done. Bree smiled and let her hand rest on one of the many curls that now occupied her hair. She twirled it around her finger.

"Are you ready to get married?" Their mother asked as she walked into the room. Bree smiled politely at their mother. She had never been completely comfortable around her. Bree was hoping that she had yet to see the news including her scandalous relationship with the future CEO of Davenport Industries. Cecilia closed the door behind her and turned to see Bree standing off to the side. She smiled snidely at her daughter. She had no idea she would have become that kind of girl after she had been raised, by none other than herself.

"Bree, you look lovely." Cecilia mumbled as she pushed past her and onto the bride. Briley stared back at their mother in disgust.

"Excuse me." Bree announced as she attempted to leave the room.

"No, Bree. I want you here. Mother, on the other hand. You, can leave. Bree, is walking me down the isle." Briley announced. Bree's eyes went wide. Their father had died of cancer when they were little, so everyone was expecting Cecilia to be the one to take over. Cecilia turned to look over at her younger daughter.

"Briley, you don't decide that-"

"It's my wedding. I decided every, little, detail. Even who walks me down the isle. Now, run along. You're not wanted here." Briley said as she waved her mother away with her hand. Cecilia rolled her eyes and walked over to the door before stopping just as her hand hit the handle.

"I never thought you would turn out this way, Breanna. Having an affair with two CEO's, and having the press find out about it. You've turned into quite the little slut. And you, Briley, are a disgrace as well. Pregnant before you're married." Cecilia fumed. Bree rolled her eyes and stepped forward.

"If I remember correctly, you were pregnant with me, which is why you married dad. And... You were cheating on dad while he was sick. So I don't think you're one to call names. You, are the disgrace." Bree hissed back at her mother.

"Well, if you expect me to just sit here and take this during the wedding, then you would be wrong! I'm leaving." Cecilia bit out.

"No ones stopping you." Briley mumbled as the door slammed shut behind her. Bree felt a smile creep onto her face as she turned to face her sister.

"Did we just beat Cecilia Henderson?" Bree wondered aloud. Briley smiled and spun around.

"I think we just did." Briley agreed happily. Bree looked over her sister's shoulder at the time. One fifty five.

"Are you ready?" Bree asked. Briley nodded.

"As ready as I'll ever be." Briley replied. Bree held out her hand as she helped her sister off the platform. The two walked out into the garden where everyone was waiting. The set up at the back of the line.

"Will you go see if Brett looks okay?" Briley whined. They hadn't seen each other for a good three days now. Which, was partly Bree's fault. Bree smiled at her sister and nodded before racing around the others and looked to see Briley's future husband standing up at the alter. He caught her eye and smiled brightly. Bree waved in return before walking calmly back to her sister.

"He looks great." Bree beamed. Briley smiled to herself as she imagined what he must look like. The wedding march began to ring through the church. The bridesmaids and groomsmen walked up the stairs, and into the church. Bree linked her arm with Briley's as they started to get closer to the door. With every step they advanced, Briley's hold on Bree became tighter.

"Bri, calm down. Everything is going to be perfect." Bree whispered as they met the stairs. Briley looked down at her feet as they waited for the signal.

"You think so?" Briley whispered back, sounding so unsure.

"I know so."

"Chase! The conference is starting in half an hour! Where are the notes?" Donald whispered as he caught his son. Chase sighed.

"They are in my car, I will go get them." Chase said simply before he took his keys out of his pocket and calmly walked out to the parking lot. He smiled as he saw Bree's bag sitting in the passengers seat of his car. He knew there was something going on with Adam and Bree. He shook his head and picked up the notes off the seat. Chase walked back into the building to see the majority of the investors were sitting and ready to listen. Each were chatting with the one next to them. Chase looked over to see his father was rolling onto the stage. Chase groaned as he realized what his father was doing.

"Hello-"

"Dad!" Chase whispered as he pulled him away from the microphone. Donald threw his arms out in front of him as Chase slid him back.

"What?" He asked innocently. Chase sighed.

"What are you doing? The conference starts in half an hour, not now." Chase explained. Donald nodded.

"Well everyone is here, so what's the hold up? We might as well start now." Donald reasoned. Chase rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, we might as well." Chase replied sarcastically. Donald smiled and rolled around back to the microphone.

"Sorry about that. Hello, my name is Donald Davenport, and this is my son, Chase Davenport. From the looks of it, everyone is here. So I think we'll just get this thing started." Donald began. Chase closed his eyes and took a deep breath before he made his way to the microphone.

"Today we will be unveiling a new piece of technology that we have been working on for quite some time now. We hope that all of you will think it is as revolutionary as we do." Chase continued. Donald smiled up at his son.

"Today, we give you... The bionic chip!"
