Bucky fell asleep after a while so I decided not to wake him. I covered him up with a blanket and closed the curtains, then turned the lights off and slipped out of the room.

I decided to explore more of the house. I bumped into Sam. "Why had Tony never showed us this place before?"

I asked as we walked into a huge living room with a huge tv and a massive couch.

"This is my new dream home." I said and Tony walked in, with a huge cut on his cheek.

"I'm fine everyone, thank you for asking, but I'm sorry Sam, you're room was accidentally blown up. Everyone else's is fine." Everyone cheered except for Sam.

"I somehow feel you did this to me on purpose, but whatever. I'll be happy when I get reimbursed to buy new stuff."

"The wire runs all throughout the Tower, it's going to take some time."

He said and I was fine with that. I liked it here so far.

We all decided to watch a movie in the living room. Tony ordered food for everyone and it was fun.

Bucky was still asleep upstairs, he's been asleep for about three hours now.

Once the movie was over we all went our separate ways. It was getting pretty late so I went upstairs and opened the door to see Bucky, half naked, with only a towel on.

He was practically glowing, I mean with the water droplets and the steam from the bathroom behind him.

"Hey doll," he said and put a shirt on then some boxers and climbed into bed. He patted the space right beside him, I shook my head no. "Let me change, and brush my teeth." I said and he shrugged.

I changed into a short sleeved shirt and some comfortable blue shorts. I then brushed my teeth.

I climbed into bed and Bucky wrapped his arm around me. "You smell so good." I hummed and kissed his cheek. He smiled and started to play with my hair.

It felt so good. "I'm so tired, I hate these stupid crutches and I feel so helpless." I admitted and he started rubbing my back.

"You'll get out of them soon." He said and sat up in bed and grabbed a book.

"What are you reading?" I asked and looked at the cover. The Age of Disco I tried to hold back my laughter, he glared at me with a straight face and he continued reading.

"I'm just trying to catch up on what I missed,
I don't understand what you guys are always talking about."

"It's okay," I said and took out my phone and started reading emails.

Eventually I just got tired and laid down, "Goodnight Buck." I smiled and closed my eyes.

"Goodnight doll." He said and continued reading.

I felt the bed shifting a lot and opened my eyes right away, I looked over at Bucky and he was holding onto his pillow very tightly and shaking.

I started calling his name and finally his eyes snapped open and he was breathing very heavily

He took a look around the room and relaxed when he noticed where he was.

"Bucky?" I called and he turned to me and hugged me. He was still shaking a little bit. "You're safe here, we won't let anything happen to you. I promise." I whispered in his ear.

"I need some space." He said after a while and I met go of him. "Bucky is there anything I can do?" I asked and he shook his head no. "Just stay here." He said with a loud voice, I was taken by surprise.

I nodded and watched him storm out of the room, in all my time knowing him, I've never experienced anything like that with him. I hope he's okay.

I just want to make sure he knows he has me. I decided to wait up for him, but he never came back to bed.

I fell asleep before he came back.

Bucky Barnes Point of View:

"Bucky?" A soft voice called, I opened my eyes to see Scarlet chained to an all too familiar chair.

She tried to break free and I tried to help her but I couldn't. "Help!" She screamed while Hydra scientists entered the room, they were about to brainwash her.

I started crying because I couldn't do anything and she was in so much pain. Just like when Kyle shot her, I couldn't do anything.

I started breathing fast, almost like panting. I watched them torture her until I felt someone moving me.

I woke up and Scarlet was there, and she was fine.

She tried comforting me but that made me feel worse. Knowing I could do those things to her, I'm a real monster.

I walked downstairs and sat on the couch, sitting in complete silence.

Leaving me alone with my thoughts. All the memories from killing innocent families Hydra needed gone. The gory missions. The lies and torture I went through.

I didn't have control over my own mind. I still don't today, I don't think I ever will.

I was starting to doubt this relationship with Scarlet. She needed someone who hasn't done what I've done. I'm an awful person and I think she knows it too, she just puts it behind her.

I think I need to end it. I mean before it gets to serious or before I end up accidentally hurting her.

"Buck?"

I turned my head to see Scarlet with a bathrobe on, her hair was all messed up. She sat down next to me and looked at me intently. She handed me a cup of tea, with a small smile.

"Have you been up this entire time? It's six in the morning now." She stated and I was honestly surprised.

"Yeah, I've been thinking, about us..." I started and she closed her eyes.

"Bucky, if this is going where I think it's going..." She said and I cut her off.

"Listen. I don't think I want to date you. It's not your fault I just don't trust myself alone, I can't trust myself to take care of you. I think it's best we do it now, before we get to invested in this relationship." I said and she was holding back tears.

"I- Buck, ple-" she stuttered. It hurt me to tell her that but I needed to. She just nodded and ran upstairs.

I watched her run into our room and heard light crying.

I sighed and laid on the couch. It had to be done. I know I made he right decision, even if it doesn't feel right.
