She and I talked about random things and I kept noticing every time someone would walk by the door she would tense up. I know how she feels right now, having to check over your shoulder to feel safe...

She never liked to admit she was scared but I could tell she was. "Visiting hours are over sir, I need to ask you to leave please." A nurse said and I started gathering my things.

I could tell Scarlet was panicking. "Leave the window open and give me ten minutes." I whispered in her ear then kissed her forehead.

"Bye Bucky." She smiled and I waved goodbye. I then walked outside of the hospital and started to climb up the windows.

I finally reached her room and climbed in. She looked so happy to see me, I feel wanted. I liked this feeling, especially because it was coming from her

The blinds to her room were closed and we seemed to be alone.

"Bucky can you come here for a second." She said and I nodded and walked over to her. She smirked and whispered "closer"

Then she pulled me down and started to kiss me. Her lips were so soft and I honestly forgot all my worries.

Her hands were in my hair and mine were holding onto the bed so I didn't fall on top of her.

She started smiling against my lips so I pulled away. "I'm sorry Bucky but I-"

"Don't be sorry." I said and kissed her forehead before grabbing a chair and pulling it along side her bed.

"Bucky, do you like me?" She asked and I looked at her, and nodded.

"Be honest with me, I can handle it, do you like me?" I asked and she nodded.

"Then why didn't you tell me?" I asked. "I thought it was just a phase, you're always so flirty I thought you didn't mean it, but you treated me better than Kyle ever did."

I only have eyes for her. I need her to understand that. No one I've ever seen or dated has ever compared to her.

"I'm sorry." She mumbled and I knew she meant it. "It's alright, it was worth the wait." I said and leaned in and kissed her again.

"Let me take you on a date. A real one." I said, I haven't been on a date since the 40s and I don't think I even remember what to do.

"I'd like that." She smiled and yawned, I could tell she was tired.

"You should go to bed. I'll be on lookout." I said and she shook her head no.

"Why don't you go to sleep? You need it too." She offered and patted right beside her in the tiny hospital bed.

Scarlet fell asleep right beside me, cuddling with my arm. I liked listening to her tiny snores, it meant she was getting some rest.

I couldn't sleep there were a lot of things on my mind right now.

Kyle and Luther. I also was happy I am taking Scarlet out. But I also am a little scared, what if this doesn't work out and we ruin our friendship.

I eventually fell asleep and I didn't have any nightmares for once. It felt odd.

When I woke up, I checked my phone. I had a few messages from Steve.

Stevie: Where are you? Please answer!
Stevie: I'm getting worried.
Stevie: The hospital called and said you're with Scarlet. Don't scare me like that again, have fun and tell her we miss her!

I smiled and texted him back.

I kissed her last night and now I'm taking her out on a date!

I texted to him and smiled down at my phone.

Stevie: Really? Congrats! All your flirting really paid off, can I tell the whole team?

I don't think it's a good idea to tell everyone just yet because this is all new to me and I want it to just be us, no one else right now

Can you hold off on telling the team? I want to give it a while before everyone gets involved.

Stevie: Yeah pal! Go have fun you two deserve it.

"Good morning." She said with a raspy voice. I smiled and handed her some water.

"Morning doll."

"Buck, when can I get out of here? Can you go find out?" She asked and I nodded.

"Yeah." I smiled and walked to the nurses station. And there was an old lady, who smiled and looked up at me.

I keep forgetting that I'm actually supposed to be older than her. I am older than her! In all of my entire life I never thought I would actually be standing here in the year 2016. It's unbelievable, as a kid I thought I would die an old man. Boy, I was wrong.

Now I look 28, and I should've died like five separate times.

"Hellooo?" The old woman said and snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I was wondering when Miss Scarlet Wall will be discharged?"

The old lady smiled. "I like you son, you seem very sweet. I saw you last night climb through the window to be with her."

"You did?" I blushed and she smiled and nodded.

"I see you on the TV, you protect the world, so I let it slide."

That meant a lot to me. "Thank you for that." I smiled and she handed me a piece of paper.

"Just sign here and here. Then if you don't mind, my granddaughter has the biggest crush on you, could you sign something?"

I signed the papers then nodded. "I'll sign something for her." I said and she handed me a picture of her.

It was a young girl, probably 9 or 10, I smiled and signed the picture.

"Thank you so much." I smiled at the old lady, "but I never caught your name." I said

"I'm Betsy, you should go, your girlfriend seems a little bored." She laughed.

I giggled and looked at her, she was looking at me and tapping her fingers on her lap.

I smiled at how she thought we were dating. I walked back in and smiled at her. "When can I go?" She asked

"Right now," I said and she clapped.

"One problem, I don't have any clothes, only my suit." She said and I looked down.

I had a shirt on underneath this sweatshirt. I took off my sweatshirt and handed it to her.
