More Than Friends-2

Michael's POV

I ran up the stairs as fast as I could. I opened the door, entered the room and locked the door behind me. I was breathing so hard that I sat on the bed to catch my breath. I smiled between heavy breaths. *Amina* I thought. I smiled remembering blurry memories I had with her. I still couldn't believe how I had forgotten her. But anyways, I have her address and her phone number. I hope I can find her.

I reached over the telephone on my bed stand. I dialed the number with the hope that I could talk to her. A woman said "Hello?" on the other end. She sounded like a woman aged between 45-50. I thought maybe she was her mother. I got out of these thoughts by another "Hello?" on the other end of the phone. I cleared my throat and tried to change my voice a bit.

"Hello" I answered.

"Hello" she said.

"Excuse me, ma'am, can I talk to Amina?"

"Amina? Sorry, but I don't know her" she answered.

I got so disappointed by this answer. As I was going to say "Thank you" and hang up, the lady cut me off: "Oh, now I remember. Yeah, Amina, the girl with blonde hair and green eyes, right?"

I could remember her having fair hair. "Yes, ma'am" I answered happily.

"Her family sold this house to us before moving to California, Los Angeles"

"So you don't know which part of LA she is right now?" I asked.

"Umm, I remember that they moved to Los Angeles because of her father's job. Her father, Steven, I guess, started working in the music field in LA"

"Do you know exactly where?" I asked.

"Yes, I know" she answered.

"Great! Let me grab paper and a pen"

I took the pen and paper I wrote her address and added the address the lady on the phone said. I thanked her and hung up.

I was so happy. I lay on my back on the bed and closed my eyes. My heart was beating so hard that I could hear it. I smiled remembering her beautiful face. She had beautiful green eyes, wavy blonde hair and a very beautiful, clear face. I remember she was left-handed. Now I remember more memories with her. I chuckled remembering a good one.

It was summer. She was sitting on a bench at the park near the school. I was buying ice cream for us. I walked towards her, sat next to her and handed her the ice cream. She thanked and started eating her ice cream. She was so beautiful that I forgot that I had an ice cream too. I just watched her eat the ice cream. Then a dog ran towards us. She was afraid of dogs so much. Once she saw it, she got so scared that her ice cream fell off of her hands by the sudden fright. I got up quickly and stood in front of her, defending her. Then the owner of the dog came running behind the dog and took it into his arms and walked in a different direction. I then turned around to face her. She still had that scared face. I smiled at her, she smiled back too. I sat next to her again. And saw the ice cream on the ground. Then without thinking, I gave my ice cream to her. She smiled, but didn't take it. I insisted and she took it, thanking. We both got up and started walking. We were talking and laughing as she was slowly eating the ice cream. Then someone bumped her on the arm while running and her ice cream fell to the ground, again. I couldn't help but laugh. Because it was the second time she dropped the ice cream. She was really pissed off. Then she left me there alone. I felt bad about laughing at her. She didn't talk to me for only a few days. Then I apologized and she forgave me. *Laughs*

I think I was not the only one who had a crush. I think she also had some feelings for me. I could understand it from the way she looked at me, the way she talked with me. Although I knew she could also like me, I wasn't that courageous to confess my feelings to her. Because I was not hundred percent sure. *Laughs* Oh God, back then it was what I thought real love was like. It was so pure and was not like anything I experienced after truly understanding the reality of life.

Plus, I was just a kid, and now I am a grown man. All I want now is to fix our friendship. I owe this to her. I really have to see or at least talk to her.

So I got up and went downstairs. Thank God, Janet was not there. I headed outside and luckily, I found Bill (Bill Bray-Michael's bodyguard) near the fountain.

"Hey, Bill"

"Hi, Michael"

"Bill, I need your help" I said.

"Yes, Michael?"

"Could you please help me find a very close friend of mine. She was my classmate. I've got the address of the place her dad works. Could you please find someone to go to that address and find some information about her?" I asked.

"Are you some kind of a mysterious and a creepy stalker" He laughed

"Bill!" I gasped, it was unexpected. "You've known me for years. You know that I am not that kind of a person. I just want to contact my friend after all those years and I want your help"

"Of course, Mike" *winks*

"Ugh, stop it, Bill". We laughed. "Her name is Amina, Amina Pearce. She has green eyes and blonde hair. Her dad works at this address. Maybe you can find something about her there" I said.

"OK, Michael, I will do my best."

"Thank you, Bill" I said.

I went back into the house. I walked up the stairs and went to my room. I needed some rest. So I lay on my bed to take a nap.
