Can't Get Out of Bed
It wasn't very often that Logan got confused. After all, he was the top of his class. He had made the dean's list three years in a row, counting this year. He did extensive research on every topic he could think of, and he was always ready and willing to answer questions. And if someone came to him with a question that he didn't have an answer for? Well, he would do everything in his power to make sure he had as much knowledge on the topic as humanely possible before even attempting to answer. He couldn't be wrong. He refused to be wrong.
So, when Logan woke up dazed and confused, he didn't know how to feel. He didn't know what had happened to him, but he was able to use some context clues to figure it out. He was in a hospital bed, hooked up to an iv. He was being pumped up with some sort of fluid. He was able to conclude from his data that he had been injured. He wasn't sure how though. His leg looked broken, and he could feel various bruises across his body.
He sat himself up slightly, cringing in pain as he did so, and looked around the room, noticing that his friends were there, sitting in chairs around him and talking quietly. Virgil was the first one to notice that he was awake. The emo's reaction to him coming to consciousness made Logan feel extremely guilty—which was illogical. Why should he feel guilty about being hurt? He just didn't like that Virgil was so upset, and he wanted to fix it. Virgil wasn't the type to show much emotion outside of private spaces, and even though they were only with their friends, it was out of character for him to stand up so harshly that his chair squeaked, and bolt over to Logan's side before anybody had even processed that he was moving.
"Oh my God!" Virgil exclaimed, engulfing Logan into a hug. Normally, Logan would find such gestures suffocating and meaningless. But he found himself hugging Virgil back, and tightly at that. He was still extremely disoriented, and likely had a concussion, so he would blame his need for physical comfort on that later. Virgil began to mutter some things to himself, but Logan only was able to pick up bits and pieces of 'i'm so happy you're okay' 'you scared me so badly' and 'never do that again, dickhead.'
He could barely hear though, over the chaos that was ensuing inside of the room now that everyone knew he was awake.
Janus was able to calm everyone down within minutes, likely sensing that Logan was extremely overwhelmed and confused. Once everything was silent, Logan began to speak, "What...what happened?" He didn't like how everyone had tears running down their cheeks. He didn't like how their eyes and faces were already puffy and red, indicating that they had been crying before this.
"You don't remember?" Remus questioned.
Roman scoffed, "after a crash like that, how could he?"
Logan's eyes widened, "a crash?!" He exclaimed, losing control of the volume of his voice. That was impossible. A crash? Logan was the most responsible driver he knew. He was always alert. Always watching, always keeping the speed limit unless traffic demanded he didn't. He made a full stop at every stop sign, and even at yield signs just to be safe, unless of course, there were cars behind him. He would get rear ended doing that, since the cars would expect him to keep going.
With all his safety precautions in mind, how could he have gotten into a crash? "Was. Was it my fault?" Logan questioned, his voice shaking.
This could ruin his future. He couldn't pay for two damaged cars—he was three quarters of the way finished through his third year at university, he was a college student, he couldn't afford to pay those kind of damages. And Logan was hurt pretty badly—the other person could be dead, and if they weren't, then the medical bills—
Now he was thinking of all the logistics of the situation. He had been hit. Or he had hit someone else, though that was very unlikely. Impossible, even. How much was he going to have to pay to get everything fixed? Did he even have to pay? Was the other guy alright? Was it his fault? Could Logan sue him?
Patton snapped him out of his thoughts, "No, Logan. Some maniac ran you off of the road. He crashed right into the side of your car on purpose, and then you lost control of the vehicle. It was raining, and your car swerved into a ditch." Logan had never heard Patton sound so serious and so sad over anything before. It made his stomach drop and his heart clench, "But you were on the interstate. You zipped through the ditch and hit a tree at sixty miles per hour."
Patton let those words sink in. Logan looked completely shocked and didn't respond, so Patton continued, "Logan, your seatbelt, it saved your life" he told him. Logan figured as much, in such a high speed crash. Usually, the others would tease Logan for saying 'the car doesn't move unless everyone is wearing their seatbelts' any time he drove. After this, he was sure nobody'd say anything anymore, "but your car is irreparable. Practically destroyed. Your leg is broken because it got trapped when you crashed. They said the car flipped, you were upside down. You hit your head on the steering wheel, and you've been asleep for three days. The other guy was found, and he's paying for everything."
As those words sunk in, Logan began to realize that he was hurt far worse than he initially thought. The adrenaline was dying down, but he must have been on some heavy pain killers because he wasn't in terrible pain.
"The only time we've left your side has been when the doctors forced us out" Janus told him, wiping tears from his eyes, "you're so lucky you aren't dead. Because I would have brought you back and killed you" Janus told him.
Logan found himself chuckling, "that's counter productive. And impossible." He noticed that Patton was hovering over him, so he rolled his eyes and opened his arms, "come here."
Patton's eyes lit up and he dove into Logan's arms. Logan hugged him back, closing his eyes and sinking into the touch. He knew he was going to have to take turns hugging each one of them now, and he didn't even care. Strangely enough, he wanted to. Remus and Roman were being oddly quiet throughout the entire process, but once they got their hug, they clung to him tightly and didn't let go.
Logan didn't mind. He hugged them both, closing his eyes and trying to breathe evenly. They cared. They cared about him so much. And Logan could have been dead right now, but he wasn't. So he was going to hug them.

It didn't take long before the nurses came in. Logan convinced everyone to get some fresh air. Nobody wanted to leave him, but Logan felt strangely overwhelmed and kind of wanted to be alone to think, which he was pretty sure his friends had picked up on. Once they were gone, Logan just laid in bed, staring at the ceiling. It was strange, to not remember anything. He remembered nothing about that day. He wasn't even sure where he was going, why he was driving. It was scary to him, to have no recollection of that day's events.
He felt the nurses hooking him up to a new iv and taking his catheter out. His urine had been draining into a bag the past few days. It was strange to know that somebody had to dispose of it, however, he knew it was the only logical solution.
He wasn't sure how long he was alone for. Long enough to take a nap that left him feeling drowsy when he woke up. He noticed Virgil and Remus immediately upon opening his eyes, "hey" Virgil spoke up, eyes shooting wide with worry, "you feeling okay?"
Logan simply nodded, feeling a gentle ache in his bladder. He chose to ignore it, the room had a strange atmosphere to it, and he never liked being kept in the dark, "yes. Is something wrong with you guys?"
"No. Just...thought you'd want to know that we called your parents. Let them know you were okay..." Remus told him.
Logan's eyes widened, his heart dropping to his stomach, "oh? What...did they say?"
Virgil's eyes looked sad. "They told us the fact that you survived the crash was a miracle from God. That he saw potential in you and wanted to give you a second chance...to live a life where you repent. A life where you aren't...gay."
Logan laughed out loud, "they're just as homophobic and delusional as I remember. Come over here, both of you."
They got close to Logan, "Remus, you kiss one of my cheeks. Virgil, you kiss the other. Make it nasty."
Virgil smirked, doing as commanded. Remus got...a little too crazy, but he supposed that was the point. Logan began to film off of Remus's phone, sticking up his middle finger into the camera, before grabbing Virgil by his chin and pulling him in for a kiss. Virgil was taken by surprise, though kissed back quickly. When they finished, they pulled away, and Virgil stumbled off in shock. Logan did the same to Remus, before ending the video.
He quickly typed in his mother's phone number before sending her the video. He returned Remus's phone and proceeded to act like nothing had happened.
Virgil sputtered in shock, "What...what are we?"
"Don't ask questions. Just be glad you were lucky enough to kiss me" Logan smirked.
"Asshole" Virgil laughed.

"Logan, are you okay?" Roman questioned. His voice was quiet, as he didn't want to draw unnecessary attention to the situation. But Logan looked very uncomfortable. He hadn't been able to sit still for the past half-hour, and was constantly squirming around in his bed. Roman wasn't sure what the problem was, since Logan had been given pain killers a little while ago, and didn't seem to be hurting.
Logan was very much not okay. Not even a little bit. It had been hours since the catheter was taken out, and he was still hooked up to an IV.
He had to pee so badly, but he didn't know what to do about it. Everyone was in his room, sitting comfortably and chatting. He didn't want to ruin that by making them leave so that he could pee. Logan wasn't even sure how this was going to work. He couldn't get up to use the bathroom, so there must have been a medical urinal bottle sitting around somewhere. And Logan was a very private person when it came to these sorts of things, so in order for him to go, he'd have to kick everyone out.
"Logan?" Roman questioned, snapping him out of his thoughts.
Logan tensed, "Oh, sorry! Yes, I am fine. Don'y worry."
Roman frowned. His answer must not have been convincing enough, so he tried again, "Just a bit uncomfortable." He wondered if he should speak up. It wasn't smart to think he could hold it forever, and his friends were obviously not going anywhere any time soon.
"Really? What's wrong?" Roman asked.
Logan sucked his bottom lip between his teeth, chewing nervously, "I um. I need to use the restroom" his face began to heat up into a blush.
Roman made an 'o' shape with his mouth, before turning over his shoulder, "Hey, guys, did a doctor drop off a urinal bottle or anything? Specs over here needs to take a piss."
If Logan wasn't blushing before, he was a tomato now. He smacked Roman on the shoulder "asshole" he muttered, covering his face with his hands.
"Awe! Logan got so embarrassed" Remus cooed.
"Knock it off, dickwads" Virgil scoffed, smacking Remus over the head, "and as for you, Roman, you're lucky i'm lazy or i'd be beating the shit out of you right now." They all knew how Logan was about the bathroom. Once everyone knew he had to go, it was basically impossible for him to even try.
Roman gasped in offense, but Patton got up to coerce him and Remus out of the room, "let's just give him some privacy."
Janus followed quickly behind them, picking up the urinal bottle and tossing it to Virgil, "thank you" he said, before turning to Logan once they were alone, "seriously, Lo. Don't sweat this. We are going to walk down to the vending machine, so we'll be super far away, and not by the door, okay? Nobody will be able to hear you."
Logan nodded. He was extremely desperate, so he hoped he wouldn't lock up, "thank you" he said, a little humiliated because he needed to be given a pep talk to piss in a fucking bottle. Virgil handed it to him, and Logan normally would have had the decency to wait a couple seconds for Virgil to rush out of the room, and take a few minutes into coaxing himself into actually going. But he had been getting pumped full of fluids all day, and his bladder was achingly full. He lifted his hospital gown before Virgil had the chance to turn around, and opened the medical bottle.
Virgil was completely shocked by this—it was so out of character. He heard the quick rush of liquid hitting plastic as he turned his back. It was too late to leave now, he didn't want to open the door while Logan was mid-stream, so he tried to give him as much privacy as he could.
The relief that swept through Logan's entire body elicited a moan as he shifted his body to expel the liquid quicker. It went on for an embarrassingly long time. He hadn't even noticed Virgil was still there, too caught up in his relief to even care. That was, until his stream slowed and tampered off into nothing. He closed the bottle, and it was quite full. He let out a sigh of relief and threw his head back.
Once he noticed Virgil standing awkwardly in the corner, he groaned, "I'm so sorry. I really just couldn't wait another second, it got so much worse once I realized I was holding the key to my relief in my hands."
"It's okay, Logan, you're extremely hydrated right now" Virgil laughed, "you peed a lot. And hey, you even peed in front of me, so we've entered a new level in our friendship."
"I literally had my tongue in your mouth earlier" Logan deadpanned.
Virgil blushed, "yeah, and it was amazing. Now give me the piss urn I wanna see the color."
"Why?!" Logan exclaimed.
"To see if you're hydrated" Virgil said, snatching it away. His eyes widened, "oh my God! That much came out of you?!" Damn Logan really had to go, "I don't blame you for whipping your cock out in front of me now."
"Virgil!" Logan exclaimed. It was his turn to blush now.
"What the hell is going on in there?" A voice called. It was Remus, "Virgil, are you drinking Logan's piss?"
"Oh, shit—no! I just had to help him open it, i'm coming out now!"
