Birthday

A/n: in Honor of Virgil's birthday, i'm coming back from the dead to write him piss himself during his birthday party

It all started with oversharing, as most things did with Virgil. Oversharing came naturally to him, but he didn't mean to trauma dump. Most of the things he told his friends were completely normal to him. The regular. It was how he grew up, and how he was sure a lot of other people in the world had as well. But apparently, never being thrown a birthday party was a shock so extreme Roman had to leave the room to recover for a few seconds. This wasn't nearly as bad as the other things he had overshared about, he was sure of that. Roman was definitely over reacting.

"Seriously? Never? Not even with like—close family?" Patton questioned as Roman entered back into the living room. He was just as shocked. But that was a given, considering Patton threw parties often.

Virgil thought back to his childhood but nothing stood out. He barely ever even had memories of those days, they weren't very exciting, and the memories that did stick were just...depressing. Lonely nights that he spent in his bedroom, "no, all of them were kinda like a normal day? I mean, I understand why I never got a party. Mom was poor. We didn't have much money to spare, and dad didn't ever really care. I also never exactly had friends to invite, but it's really no big deal. Mom could afford a cheap cake from the store, and save up some money throughout the year for one or two presents. But that was that. She also tried to make my favorite dinner on my birthday."

As be rambled, he almost forgot he was speaking. He felt nostalgia take over him, thinking about his mother. He loved her so much, and she was always a little too enthusiastic about celebrating his birthday. But to know she cared was great. He wouldn't change the birthdays with his mother for anything. The close, lovely moments they shared laughing, talking about their days, and eating cake. Not to mention, the presents never disappointed.

Janus sighed, "that's fucking sad and I already knew that."

"Yeah, I mean—i'm not a very exciting person, birthdays aren't any different. The most memorable one I can think of is my sixteenth. My mom had to work a double so I was at my dad's house and he locked me in my room all day" Virgil explained.

"Why was that memorable?!" Roman cried in horror.

Remus started talking before he could stop himself, "birthday beating."

Virgil scoffed, "we agreed not to call it that!"

"A what?" Patton asked, his lips dropping into a frown.

Virgil had overshared twice in the span of five minutes. He groaned. But to be fair, Remus is the one who brought up the birthday beating. Which wasn't even really all that special, his dad had beat him much harder many times before and after, "it doesn't matter. Moral of the story is: I grew up poor and alone. No way for birthday parties, and i'm fine with that, you guys know I like simple things. My existence isn't worth celebration anyways. No big deal."

"You spent your sweet sixteen alone in your room getting beat, what the fuck do you mean no big deal?" Roman asked.

"I mean there's nothing I could do to change it" Virgil sighed, "i'm just some lame, sad loser. I always have been."

"We will throw you a party" Logan spoke up, "December 19th. You are worth celebrating. Whatever lies your father fed you are not true" he told him, "we will get black out drunk, invite our friends, and rent a place out—and the cake. Huge. I'm talking like, the biggest cake ever."

Everybody in the room was shocked at Logan's passion, but Virgil felt choked up. He knew how much Logan knew about his life, especially his dad, so it was a little emotional to talk about surface level things while knowing just how bad it truly got, "thank you, Lo..but I couldn't ask for that, it sounds like a lot of effort for you guys—"

"Absolute nonsense!" Roman exclaimed, "the nerd is right! Anything for you is worth it!"

"Yeah, Anything at all!" Patton agreed, "prepare yourself! Mark your calendar!"

Virgil felt excitement and anxiety bubbling in his chest. He hadn't marked his calendar for a birthday since he was six. That was the year his father taught him that they weren't all that special after all.

"It's his 21st too" Janus told them, "the baby of the group finally joining us. Rent out a place with a bar, we know you're rich, Roman" he smirked.

Remus shook his head, "our parents are rich, actually. But I do steal their credit cards, so..."

"Stop, you guys don't have to plan something huge! Renting out a bar? That's—that's insane" Virgil told them.

"Nonsense. This birthday is a milestone. You saw all of our 21st birthdays. Each one topped the last—yours is going to be insanity" Logan told him.

"Yeah! Please, Virgil, we'll make sure everything goes smoothly, and after a few drinks, you'll loosen up!" Patton chirped.

"Alcohol is the best anxiety medicine" Roman told him

"That must be why my dad never worried about the finances" Virgil said, rolling his eyes. He heard Janus and Remus laugh, but the other's stayed silent. Fuck he made things awkward again.

—————————————————————————

Virgil was never quite sure what the big deal about drinking was. Ever since he was a child, he swore it off because of his dad. All it did was make him angry and scary, and Virgil didn't ever want to be that way to anyone. To treat anybody as horribly as he had been. But as soon as he walked into the bar, he realized that he wasn't getting out of this without drinking.

It was packed. He recognized everybody there, surprisingly. He had no idea that he had so many friends/acquaintances. He already saw shots of drinks lined up on a counter, and all his friends piled up next to each other, talking to the bartender. Virgil took in a deep, shaky sigh. Fuck he was already overwhelmed and he'd just gotten there—maybe he needed a drink to loosen up after all. Hopefully his friends wouldn't mind if he stayed glued to their sides the whole night. Usually, they abandoned him to go have fun while he clung awkwardly to a corner,

He liked going out to the floor and dancing, he liked singing along to the music and banging his head to the beat—but he couldn't quite keep up with his friends. And they couldn't just sacrifice a good time, and he understood that. He didn't mind being alone, but he didn't like looking lonely. He supposed it was a good thing that his boyfriend, Logan was similar to him in the way that neither of them stayed partying for very long. They could look lonely together.

After gaining the courage, Virgil finally walked up to the bar, "Virgil!" He was immediately greeted with greeting screaming over each other. Roman threw an arm around his shoulder, "let's start this party off right! With shots!"

"Shots, shots, shots, shots!" His friends began to chant.

Virgil giggled nervously at the attention, "Okay! Alright, give me one!" He thought it was strange how his friends were all laughing, barely able to contain himself as he threw back the drink all at once, as Patton instructed. He quickly realized why once the taste set in. Not to mention the burn—his throat felt like it was on fire. He spat the drink out in a fashion so dramatic it could rival Roman on a bad hair day, "Holy f-fucking shi-shit!" He stuttered, going into a coughing fit as his friends laughed so hard they were wheezing, "what was that? You assholes!"

"Straight whiskey!" Remus cried, laughing his ass off, "Oh, that was rich, I—I'm gonna cry!"

Janus was in no better condition. He had filmed the moment, of course, and was leaning against Logan for support. Logan was laughing as well, and Patton was apologizing through tears of laughter.

"Okay, okay, for real this time—the rest of these taste a lot better and won't burn as much, I promise" Roman told him, laughter still bubbling up in his chest, "try this one."

He pointed out a drink and Virgil took it, making a face as it slid down his throat, but it wasn't horrible. He continued drinking as his friends cheered him on. Roman left momentarily once all the guests had arrived, and gave some sappy speech. Virgil wasn't able to pay much attention, his stomach was full of alcohol and his brain was beginning to feel fuzzy. He continued drinking, though, until Roman returned and Patton forced him to take a break.

"It's his first time drinking" he said, worried, "we may have overdid it."

After seeing the state of Virgil, Roman agreed, "yeah—we can give him more drinks later. Oh, boy—you guys practically let him drink the whole bar while I was gone! He's gonna be wasted. Not to mention the hangover!"

Virgil wasn't paying attention to any of the conversations happening around him. His brain was cloudy and his vision fuzzy. His heart was beating so fast he swore he could feel it pounding against his chest. Everything was too loud, too overwhelming. He didn't even notice his breathing beginning to speed up. He felt paranoid, he felt his senses slipping away. He was getting drunk, and he didn't like that. It was all happening so fast. He didn't know what he'd do when he was drunk, what if he said something bad, or did something embarrassing?

He could feel tears slipping down his cheeks, and his entire body was trembling. Before he knew what was happening, all that anxiety left him and he was...outside? All his friends were crowding around him, sounding worried and talking over each other. Virgil sat up, "wha—whats goin' on?" He slurred.

"You were having a panic attack, so we brought you out here to calm down—you were like, really freaking out!" Patton told him, "like, you were crying and yelling that it was too hot, and bright, and that you were scared? I don't know, but it was super scary!"

Logan nodded, "some people get heightened anxiety when they're drunk—I suppose we should have seen this coming."

Virgil didn't understand what they were talking about. He felt amazing. It was like he was floating up on a cloud, like nothing else mattered, "let's go party, it's boring out here!" Virgil groaned, trying to stand up on his own. He found his legs to be wobbly, but he didn't fall. He stumbles towards the door of the building, and his friends helped him back inside.

"That's...strange" Remus said, "it's like all his anxiety just went away."

Janus smirked, "That'd certainly be a first for him."

"Just keep an eye on him" Logan told them, "he may experience it again out of nowhere."

Virgil grabbed Roman and Patton by their shoulders and brought them close to his face, "karaoke" he demanded seriously.

Roman and Patton's eyes lit up. Virgil never did karaoke with them. He was so afraid of being judged, or not being good enough. Singing in front of a large crowd would set his anxiety off in any other situation. But right now? He didn't have the brain power to be worried. Besides, you weren't meant to be good at singing for karaoke! It was just for fun.

"Of course, Virgil!" Patton exclaimed, "you'll be joining us this time, right? Maybe we can duet?" He questioned.

"No duet! No duet, let's do a threesome!" He shouted, "you, me and Roman! Bohemian rhapsody!"

Roman's eyes lit up, "fuck yes!"

As the machine was getting set up, Virgil felt a pressure building up in his bladder. He ignored it in favor of singing with his friends, deciding he could put off the bathroom for later.

—————————————————————————

If Virgil's friends had learned anything from the night, it was that when he was drunk, he was a fucking menace. They practically had to babysit him so that he didn't go off and start screaming at people or dropping onto the floor to start crying.

But Virgil didn't pay any mind to the stress he was causing. In fact, he was having a blast—this night had been one of the best in his life. Dancing, screaming, singing, he did it all. They had games that involved more alcohol, and a keg stand. Virgil didn't last long on it, but he was determined to last longer than five seconds, which he did achieve after much trial and error. The only problem was, that his need to pee had grown tenfold.

But he was being pulled in every direction, and his friends just looked so excited for him, he didn't want to have them waiting even a second for him. He didn't want to ruin his first ever birthday party! Besides, he was having so much fun, there really wasn't a good time to just put a pin in the activities so that he could go pee. But that didn't mean he was able to ignore his need altogether. It was actually the only thing his drunken mind could focus on.

Luckily for him, everybody was dancing and moving around, so his over dramatic squirming as he potty danced just looked like an awful attempt at following the beat of the music. Virgil really couldn't stand still. It got to the point where he was actually ready to drop what he was doing to go pee, but as he turned his back to do so and saw the line, his heart dropped.

Fuck. He couldn't wait in that line all night. There had to have been at least twenty people waiting. His friends would surely think that he had disappeared on purpose, as he often did during events like this. Because he really was just nothing more than a lonely loser who got too overwhelmed to show his face at his own party for longer than two hours. It was pathetic, but it was what they would think of him. And it'd be the reality, too, if he hadn't been so drunk.

He turned back to his friends, deciding to keep his mouth shut and not speak up about his problem. He could feel the drunk anxiety coming back to him. Before he knew it, he felt a tap on his shoulder, and it pulled him out of his near anxiety attack. It was Patton, offering him a glass of water, and pulling him into a quieter spot, "drink this, Virge, okay?" He questioned, "you need something other than fruity margaritas in your system" he joked.

Virgil brought his legs closer together as he was offered the glass. He thanked Patton, and shakily brought the glass up to his lips. He met Logan's eye from across the room, and he must have senses something was off, because he came over immediately. Which of course, brought on the attention of Remus, and soon enough all of his friends were crowded around him. Everyone else just began to talk, but Logan thought something wasn't right, so placed a hand on Virgil's shoulder, "you doing okay?" He asked.

Virgil nodded, embarrassed at his predicament. He was clearly the only one who had to pee—his friends hadn't had much to drink. Janus and Logan had some wine, but the others mostly stayed sober. Remus hadn't touched any drinks, since he didn't want to black out on Virgil's birthday and miss anything.

"Okay, tell me if you need a quieter setting, alright? I can take you somewhere else if you need" Logan told him, kissing his head sweetly.

Virgil leaned the top of his head into the kiss, smiling as he told Logan that he would be okay.

The party calmed down just enough thar his friends didn't have to scream over the music to talk to each other, but the crowd of people was loud enough that they still had to talk louder than normal. At that point, though, Virgil was completely withdrawn from the conversation. His eyes stayed glued to the line at the bathroom. It hadn't moved. He assumed there were people having sex in there or something of that nature, which was very unfortunate considering the fact that he was very close to wetting his pants.

He'd waited until the very last second, and he didn't even fully know why. Nothing important had been happening for the past thirty minutes, they were just standing around joking and laughing with one another, swaying along to the music, and watching other people play beer pong or dance with one another.  He didn't know being drunk meant losing your common sense.

Everything was starting to become too much for him again. Not to mention, his jeans felt tight around his distended bladder, his stomach hurt from being so full of drinks, and his feet were tired from all the dancing. He could also feel a headache coming on, and he was not looking forward to it. He didn't even try to stop himself once he began to have an accident, just sighing in relief as he released his bladder into his jeans. Before he knew it, he was soaked down to his knees, and a quick stream was gushing onto the floor and creating a puddle at his feet.

Janus was the first to notice, his eyes going wide in shock. Remus and Roman began giggling behind their hands when Janus pointed it out to them. Of course, as Virgil began to whimper, Logan looked over and saw what was happening—and soon enough, al of his friends were watching as he wet himself.

"Jeez, Virgil, why didn't you tell someone you had to go? Gross!" Roman cried, laughing.

Virgil did not find the humor in this, and immediately began crying. He broke down into tears, "I'm sorry! I had to go really bad for so long, b-but, but we were all busy and having fun, and then the line was so long, I didn't—I—I couldn't hold it anymore!" He continued to sob, unable to catch his breath. He was practically choking on the air.

"Oh, fuck, Roman!" Logan yelled, "why would you say that to him?!"

"Shit, Virgil" Janus said, "it's okay, we understand, we—"

Virgil began to throw up before Janus could even finish his comforting. Crying so hard had irritated his stomach, and the copious amount of drinks that hadn't went to his bladder or digested in his stomach yet all came out onto the floor.

"Holy fucking shit!" Remus cried, "he needs to calm down before he explodes!"

Roman felt extremely awful for causing Virgil to cry, but didn't know how to rectify his mistake in the moment besides a quick apology, "Virgil, hey, i'm sorry, man, you aren't gross, and I shouldn't have laughed" he told him.

"Really?" Virgil sniffled, wiping his mouth, "ugh! I hate throw up!"

"Yeah, really, i'm so sorry" Roman told him.

Virgil wiped his eyes, "okay...okay, I forgive you...I need to pee again" he blurted out seriously.

"You need to pee again?! It doesn't look like you ever stopped to begin with!" Patton cried. Sure enough, Virgil wasn't lying and another bloom of warmth began to spurt from his groin and make the puddle larger.

"He broke the seal" Remus said, "prepare for a long night, Virgil."

Janus smacked Remus's chest, "can we just get him diapers or something? Like seriously, this is going to be an insane night if we don't" he groaned.

"I'm going to bring him outside to calm down and maybe take him home. It's been a long night and he needs to rest anyways" Logan said.

"Yeah, it's—holy shit it's 2am" Remus said, "maybe it's time to end the party this bitch has been going on all night!"

Logan took Virgil to the front of the building and allowed his friends to discuss the party's end. When they finally made it outside, Logan could clearly hear Virgil's quiet sniffles. "I'm sorry for ruining everything, Lo" he whispered, "I didn't wanna. I didn't wanna make things worse, i'm so bad, why does anybody like me? How can you love me."

Logan felt his heart clenching at his boyfriends words, "Virgil, baby, this isn't a big deal. This can easily be rectified, you did not ruin anything. It's so easy to love you. There are so many things to appreciate about you. I love you. So, so much."

"Even like this?" Virgil mumbled.

"Yes, silly, I love every bit of you. It's quite common to have accidents while drunk—especially as drunk as you are. And to be fair—we all knew that with how much you had to drink, you would have to pee all night. We didn't intend on you to hold it all night, I suppose we should have realized. I guess we all just got too excited, huh?" Logan questioned.

Virgil shrugged, "I should be able to take myself to the bathroom, it's not your guy's responsibility."

Logan sat down on the steps that led up to the bar, and motioned for Virgil to do the same. He wrapped an arm around him, "I think once we get home, i'm going to get you all cleaned up, and tuck you into bed. Then tomorrow, we can cuddle up together and forget that this ever happened, okay?"

Virgil nodded in agreement, sniffling, "I would like that. Thank you."

"Of course."

—————————————————————————

When Virgil woke up the next morning, he had a pounding head ache and his whole body felt heavy. He groaned, sitting up, "what did I do last night?" As he shifted in bed, he froze, meeting Logan's eyes, "why...what...do I have. Do I have a diaper on?!" He exclaimed, "Logan!"

His cheeks were a bright shade of red as the events from the night before came crashing back down. He covered his face, "I am never living this down!"

"Yeah, you definitely aren't" Logan laughed a little bit, "but they promised not to bully you for it. At least not for a little while—you were extremely upset last night."

Suddenly, they got a ping from their group chat.

Prince prick: how's piss boy doing?
