JENNY SAT NEAR a brick wall twisting the bright pink bubblegum she had been chewing on for the past ten minutes around her long narrow finger. Bradly and Dina were snuggled up in the middle of the bleachers sickeningly lovey doves with each other. Stan lay on one of the bleachers attempting to solve a Rubix cube which didn't look too far from being solved and Billie was still holding her breath in the hopes of what some would think was a freak accident but in reality, was her body's reaction to self-deprivation of air. Unconsciousness. Which was not good for her, obviously.
The large door of to Billie's left rattled and she turned. In the doorway was Syd, ushering Stanley over to her with a beckoning hand. Stanley huffed and slowly pushed himself up from his resting position, leaving his Rubix cube behind him on the bench. Curious, and a bit nosy, Billie followed out the larges doors and into the long hallway. She felt somewhat bad that Syd didn't know she had seen her and was angry at Stanley for not telling her.
Stanley closed the door after him, which only fueled her anger. How was she supposed to talk to them if they were separated by a large steel door?
Well, it isn't exactly soundproof, Billie thought to herself. But wouldn't the others notice her listening to the two? No, No they wouldn't because Jenny was too busy throwing dirty looks to Bradley and Dina and they were to busy... making out.
Placing one eat against the cold green steel, Billie slowly slid down the door.
"Stan, I need your help" She heard Syd whisper, unwillingly. She sounded scared.
"Oh, okay. So you're talking to me now" Stan sighed but in an angry unforgiving tone.
"Listen" Syd insisted.
"Oh, wow. Interesting"
"Stan, seriously, shut up and follow me right now!" Syd whispered, raising her voice enough for both Stan and Billie to hear urgency but too quiet for the three others. Sydney grabbed Stan's arm and dragged him quickly in the right direction. Billie was a bit slow and hadn't realised why they'd all of a sudden stopped talking until they risked a quick peep through the gap and saw nothing.
Her hands wrapped around the handle and slowly she pushed the door open once more. It didn't make any noise because she's held it in an upward manner, something she'd learned and taught others in the untimely case she wanted to sneak out of the house. She raced down the hall as quietly as possible where Syd and Stanley stood in the library. Billie did not visit this area in the school often, she just didn't have that much time but she knew for a fact that it did not look like how it did then, regularly.
"Holy shit" Stan observed, standing completely still and perplexed. There were about four shelves in total, all knocked over in different directions. Books pages and other things that had occupied the shelf carpeted the entire floor. Billie looked over everything in utter shock. Had Syd done this? What the hell had happened?
"What the hell happened?" Stan asked speaking out loud.
"I don't wanna talk about it"
"Why not?"
"Because I don't! okay?" She insisted.
Billie stepped forward, Stan doing the same just a little farther ahead than herself. The boy walked across the scattered books cursing a few times as Syd stared at his wandering body.
Billie approached slowly, wary of the fact she might startle the ticking time bomb off to her right. Billie was fascinated, she really was, but Syd did scare her at the same time and she could quite wrap her head around why she was so snippy with Stanley.
Stan looked up and noticed her but with a quick bow of his head, he turned away trying to hide the fact he had seen her. Syd took no notice of the gesture and continued. "So are you gonna help me or not?"
Stan innocently adjusted his jacket as he replied. "Well, we'd need a carpenter or a miracle."
"I don't care about fixing it," Syd replied as if Stanley's answer had been mind-blowing. She unfolded her arms and used her left to point to a blinking security camera firmly attached to the concrete walls of the library. "I care about that" She nearly whispered as both Stanley's and Billie's head swivelled round to the object.
"You're telling me...." Stanley began.
"Yeah"
"We need that footage?"
"Yeah"
"That's in Dawson's office" He questioned rubbing his temple.
"Yeah" she repeated.
Billie's frozen body would move, not a muscle but her little ol' bright pink lips got to work pretty quickly as soon as the two teens had finished their wide-eyed conversation of realization. "Holy shit!" She screeched adjusting her loose hair into a medium pony with a stray bobbin.
Stan shot a glance to her with startling gestures. "Billie! Again? It's not that hard! Sorry, Syd, this is Billie." He sighed heavily "God I've got to get you a Manuel on espionage"

THE THREE TEENS had rid a large brown counter of all the books, pages and stationery that had been flung over and at it by Syd shortly after Billie's slightly dumb outburst. Mostly her and Syd had just stood there for a short while with shocked expressions until Syd decided to confront Stanley and not her which humoured Billie. After a few minutes of straight fighting and Stanley managing to get Billie to assist him in defence, Syd finally calmed down and accepted that Billie knew, although she wasn't exactly friendly about it. When Billie had gone to support and lift herself up and onto the counter, she'd felt a little 'whoosh' of a feverish feeling before being thrust downward. Syd blamed it on her being clumsy but Billie had a small inkling as to the real reason.
Billie, choosing to stand instead so that it wouldn't happen again, leaned over the counter and into the middle of the two where a white slip of paper with a rough hand-drawn blueprint of the school lay.
Stan took one of his long Lanky fingers and pointed to a small room labelled 'principle's office' on the blueprint. "Okay, so the security recordings are in the principal's office here. Ugh, but it's gotta be locked. Whitaker's probably the only one with a key, so that's-"
"No, the janitors gotta have one" Syd but in.
"Okay, okay" Stan agreed. "Just spitballing ideas here, but m-maybe you can distract the janitor and steal his keys?". Stan looked up to Syd.
Syd gradually grew a discussed look on her face before morphing into one of thought and contemplation. "We need someone who has... Boobs"
A short pause followed as the two teens slowly turned their head to Billie who innocently stood with her hands held behind her back and her body smoothly rocking from one side to the other. A mingled look of surprise caused her to blush and look down quick only to shrug and smirk at them. "Nothing to see here."
Syd rolled her eyes but Stan let out a low chuckle still slightly scared by Syd's request.
Syd led them out of the wrecked library and into the hallways where she left Stanley and Billie to retrieve Dina, the so-called 'boobs' they needed. Stan awkwardly stood biting his nails and Billie, scratching her reddening arms.
"You think this is gonna work" Billie let out alongside a shaky, staggered breath.
"Has to" Stan sighed, "or will you be able to break the lock with your super strength" He laughed and she joined in.
It was silent after that and a bit uncomfortable. They could both hear Syd's uncomfortable begs as she attempted to retrieve Dina from inside the hall. Billie shot Stanley a sly glance and as he returned it, he shot her a sly smile. A small array of blue-yes blue- butterfly's fluttered around in Billie's stomach, lazily going up to her mouth. It was a dazzling sense of... well she didn't know what quite but it was invigorating.
It was only then, that she took in Stans cute slouched posture and messy hair. The way it curled around his ears and covered his eyes like a natural keratin mask. He looked like he had and hadn't put in a lot of effort at the same time and it made her mind and heart do seven summersaults although she couldn't exactly but a straight finger on why.
Eventually, the large metal double doors banged open and out walked Sydney and Dina ready to trick some poor unsuspecting man into giving them what they wanted. Well, they'd never know if he truly was unsuspecting, Janitors could be weird and very scary and Billie had found that out the hard way when she was younger. Let's just say a boiling hot splash of mop water isn't exactly your ideal drink for a three-year-olds indoor picnic.
Dina stood in front of them dressed in a pink hoody and loose mom jeans. Smiling awkwardly at the three obviously nervous people she leaned forward and continued to smile. "Somebody gonna say something, or....."
Stan stopped biting his nails so he could address the matter at hand. "We-we need your help getting the keys to the principal's office."
Syd nodded along. "So we can steal some security camera footage."
Dina snorted confused. "What?"
Syd and Stanley sort of guarded Billie like a small not very efficient shield. Syd was so slumped forward the resembled the hunchback of Notre dame mixed with Billie's mother on a drunken night out. Stanley, on the other hand, was stood up tall but continued to fidget with the most random things he could find.
"You're serious?"
Both Stan and Syd nodded their heads but Billie looked away.
"Um... why?" Dina asked apprehensively. "What's on the tape? What'd you guys do?" She smugly crossed her arms awaiting their answer.
"Well, the truth is...
Everyone held their breaths as Syd choked on every syllable that was tempted to make its way up her throat and out of her mouth. Billie stood behind everyone, feeling extremely out of place in these weird circumstances. Awaiting Syd's excuse, Billie crossed her arms as she leaned to the side.
Syd sucked in any air molecules left floating around the small vacuum that was her thin lips. "Stan and I had sex in the library and it's... it's all on tape"
Billie took a small step backwards into a wall of lockers which was followed by a loud ringing and a few half-assed glances her way. Stan... Syd... Library.. tape...
It didn't matter. It wasn't any of her business and it wasn't true. Even if it was... why should she care? It had nothing to do with her.
Dina looked back and forth between the two before whispered a short 'What?' in utter disbelief.
Both Stanley and Syd, with sour- disgusted- faces, like those you throw when passing someone you know but not well enough to say anything face, nodded their head as confirmation which only widened Dina's dropped jaw. "No way."
"Dead serious" Stan mumbled uncomfortably. "It was right there in the library. We sixty-nined and everything"
This was when Billie finally turned away. What.. the ... fuck.

The halls were completely empty as per 6'O'clock stranded. The floors were freshly mopped and cleared of all dust apart from within the tiny cracks between floorboards and lockers. Billie sat far away from Sydney as she waited for Dina to retrieve the keys for them. Somehow, sometime, Billie hoped the plan would work but somewhere deep down she knew what a weird and quite degrading task they were so kindly gifting Dina. Billie for sure would not have done it even if she had had the 'requirements'.
That... That was some Shelly Wilson ass shit and Billie would never stoop down to her mother level which- by the way- was at the bottom of the grand canyon for anyone wondering.
Not too long after Billie had checked the awfully hung deteriorated red clock on the wall to display 18:10, Dina stumbled out with a whole bunch of rusted grey and brown keys all hooked neatly onto a loop. She ignored the happy congrats from Syd and didn't hear the conversation that followed, she didn't even tune in, not until Stanley stumbled over out of nowhere with two wonky cylinders tightly wrapped in tin foil. "The plan... is quite simple"
Billies tuned out ears finally turned up the volume on the world around her as she propelled herself off the ground and into the small group of teens. "First, we distract Whitaker with burritos" The boy held out the little tin foiled wrapped cylinders to the ladies. "I'm gonna put these in the microwave and blast these bad boys up on high, and then.."
Stan paused allowing for emphasis and made a fake explosion sound and mimed a minimalistic one with his hands. "Whitaker will hear it and come runnin'. When he takes off from the teacher's lounge, the coast'll be clear straight through to the principal's office, and then... we make our move"
Billie looked at the other two who were, like her, confused but intrigued enough to listen till the end. Stan shot a quick finger to Syd. "Syd, you're the key man.... key lady" he changed.
"Wait- why am I the key lady?" Syd asked. Billie was hoping hers wasn't something big but at the same time still wanted to help.
"Because you're good with your hands." Stan thought up, awkwardly spitting out it each word syllable by syllable.
"Ew" Sydney remarked.
Stanley continued "Dina, Billie, you're lookout"
He nodded to each girl respectively.
"Okay," Dina replied, compliant.
Billie made a not very notable face but obliged figuring, with help, the job wouldn't be hard which ended with a little discreet nod.
"You keep eyes on Whitaker. The burrito bomb should keep him busy for a while. That man can not resist a fire extinguisher, which will give us" he motioned between himself and Syd. "-the time we need to get in. Burrito bombs are disgusting. Last time I set one off my whole house smelled like bean farts"
"Gross" Dina snorted quietly.
"Why did you..." Billie began. "You know what I'm not even gonna ask"
"Smart- Anything goes wrong, one of you, signal us... and everyone take cover."
