~Five~
~Third Person P.O.V~
Mina sipped her milkshake quietly as she observed the two boy's who chatted away happily with the others at the lunch table. The pink haired teen was not stupid- well, when it came to certain situations she was- but to this? No. Unlike Katsuki, she wasn't blind, both literally and figuratively, she could see how happy the green haired boy made him.
The slight shift in his facial expression whenever Izuku laughs, or the twitch in his lips when the smaller male made some form of physical contact with him. For the first time in all the two years of Mina knowing him... Katsuki seemed generally happier.
Whenever Izuku was around of course.
"Okay, I'll be right back- I gotta use the bathroom." Katsuki announced, getting up from his seat.
"Do you want me to walk you?" Izuku asked, already prepping himself to get up as well.
Katsuki chuckled, shaking his head with a gruff smile. "I think I can manage nerd, I'll just- I don't fucking know walk along the walls or something. Besides my Braille is getting better so I know how to read the bathroom signs. I'll be fine." He said, patting Izuku's back.
The freckled teen looked reluctant at first, tearing at the flesh of his lower lip with his teeth.
"Fine." Izuku sighed, watching observantly as Katsuki stayed close to the walls like he said- before rounding the corner.
The yellow eyed girl scooted over so she was closing the gap Katsuki had left, milkshake in hand as she continued to examine Izuku. Mina's eyes narrowing as she leaned in, her gaze on the boy never breaking.
"Uhm... hi Mina." Izuku chuckled awkwardly, slightly leaning back.
"Hello Midoriya... so what's the deal with you and Katsuki!?" Mina exclaims, not even bothering to contain her excitement at this point.
Izuku cocks an eyebrow, tilting his head to the side with a clear expression of perplexity. "I- I beg your pardon? There's nothing going on between me and Kacchan." He said, his eyes darting from the yellow eyed teen and the other three boys at the table.
"Cut the bullshit Midoriya... there's obviously something there, right?" Sero chimed in, wiggling his eyebrows in a more suggestive theme.
Vehemently shaking his head, Izuku puts his hands up in a surrender action. "There is nothing going on between me and Kacchan... we're just- I don't know, friends again? Maybe... look we are making progress with our friendship." Izuku said, taking a bite of his food.
"You sure?" Kirishima asked, cocking an eyebrow.
"Positive!"

Aizawa sighed, reluctantly pushing himself up from the comforts of his chair to talk to the class.
"Alright guys, now we all know what happened... last time I let you all train." His eyes, as well as the eyes of other students, briefly flickered towards Katsuki. "But it's been a few weeks, so I think we should do another class training session. Everyone go get ready."
Katsuki visibly tensed in his seat, he didn't understand why- it's not like he would be the one training. Just sitting on the side lines while everyone else did so. Even so... he felt scared to go back to the gym.
To go back where it all happened.
He was pulled from his thoughts when he felt a cold hand plant on top of his. Katsuki didn't jump like he usually did, he had gotten used to what Izuku's hands felt like.
"Are you okay?" Izuku asked softly, throwing his bag over his shoulder with his other hand.
"Of course I'm okay, why the fuck wouldn't I be?!" Katsuki growled, his normal defensiveness building back up.
Izuku sighed, shifting his weight from one foot to the other as he stares at the blond. "Because we're going to the gym... and I'm sure you wouldn't want to be back there seeing as though that's where you lost your sight." He said bluntly, only to immediately regret it.
Todoroki was rubbing off on him.
"I- damn nerd..." Katsuki trailed off, slowly peeling himself from his seat. "That was actually pretty accurate."
His shoulders drop, as his hand found itself entangled with Izuku's automatically. Katsuki's mouth had twisted into a grim frown at the thought of going back, his eyes went half lidded as he stared at nothing.
Huh... he couldn't even distract himself by staring at something.
"Well look on the bright side!" Izuku started, only to be interrupted by Katsuki.
"There is no bright side for me to look at if I'm blind." The blond deadpanned, a small smile pulling at his lips.
Izuku shook his head while soft chuckles emitted from him, shoulders shaking as he did so. "You make it really hard to cheer you up when you act like this." He laughed, slowly rounding the corner to the gym.
"Okay, okay- you were saying?" Katsuki smirked, a twinge of amusement pooling into his tone. "Something about looking on the bright side."
"Yeah," Izuku snorted, giving a roll of his green eyes. "At least you get to relax, everyone else will be working out and crap. Think of this as a temporary break... to let your body rest."
The taller of the two shrugged his shoulders, pursing his lips as he's hit with the familiar scent of raw and unsavory sweat, and the sound of sneakers grating against the flooring. Subconsciously, Katsuki squeezes Izuku's hand as the smaller boy leads him to the bleachers.
"Okay, just wait right here I have to go get changed." Izuku said with a smile. It may seem weird, but even though Katsuki couldn't see then smile... he could hear it in his voice.
Which appeared to help calm his spiking trepidation.
Katsuki gave a simple nod of his head, closing his eyes and fully allowing the sounds around him to spill through his ears. He knew it wouldn't make a difference if he had his eyes opened or closed... but it just helped.
Little by little, more and more chatter filled the large room- the echoes of quirks going off or being activated resonating throughout his ears. Small shouts and grunts of focus and determination clinging to his hearing. The sound of the air swishing with each persons punch-
Wait... he could hear their punches?
'Holy shit...' Katsuki thought, shutting his eyes more tightly than before as he continued to hone in on the sounds.
After a few minutes Izuku had came back, he was about to start training along with the others when he noticed Katsuki's face scrunched up in concentration. Frowning, he tilts his head to the side as his vision zeroes in on the blond.
'What is he doing?'
"You okay Kacchan?" Izuku asked, prompting the blind teen to snap his eyes open.
"Okay... uhm, fuck- I know this is going to sound weird but I need you to try and punch me." Katsuki said quickly, standing up and looking in the general direction of where Izuku stood.
"I beg your pardon?" Izuku chuckles awkwardly. "You want me to punch you? What- why?" He asked, crossing his arms.
Katsuki sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose in irritation. "Damn it Deku, just fucking punch me!" Katsuki growled, backing up a bit and getting into a fighting stance.
Heaving a sigh, Izuku eyes his childhood friend skeptically- before balling his fist up and proceeding to throw a punch to his chest. Before his fist could come into contact with Katsuki the blond grabbed it, pulling Izuku toward him to push him onto the floor.
"How... how the hell did you do- do that?" Izuku wheezes, staring at Katsuki with wide and disoriented eyes.
"I have no fucking clue."

Recovery Girl sighed, pursing her lips as she shrugs her shoulders. "Aizawa I've ran every test there is... my best guess is that when Kaminari's lightning bolt caused Bakugo to lose his sight- it somehow manipulated and heightened his other senses. I'm not sure if this is temporary as well or not... just keep a close eye on him." She said, it was loud enough for Izuku and Katsuki to hear however.
Izuku chuckled playfully punching Katsuki's shoulder. "That's pretty cool, right Kacchan?" He beamed, already planning on writing some of this down in his journal later. "Wait a minute... you don't need me anymore than, right? Because if you have heightened senses you should be able to walk fine on your own."
The blond didn't miss the sadness that seeped into Izuku's voice, he fought off the urge to smirk as he shook his head.
"You fucking heard Recovery Girl, it could be temporary, it could have been for just that one time. And besides just because I have better senses and shit doesn't mean I won't run into a wall." Katsuki mumbled, crossing his arms and biting his lip.
"So you admit that you still need me?" Izuku teased, poking him repeatedly on the shoulder.
The taller male scoffed, smacking Izuku's hand away and turning his nose up. "I don't admit to shit!"
'Yes, you fucking nerd I do need you...'
