They Call Me Moony
(BEFORE I BEGIN THE STORY, WARNING-MANY OF THE HERBS EFFECTS ARE MADE UP!)
Hey there. If your reading this, you must be a descendant of Artemis. You know, the goddess of the moon? Lord of the animals? I'm one of her daughters. My name is Star. But they call me Moony. So you must, too. You might not know who I am, so here's my story. My story of a bow, a wolf, and a goddess.
I rode my horse through the woods, my pack right behind me. Snow crunched every time we took a step.
"Woah! Woah!" I said as I stopped my horse. In front of me was a river. Well, not a river. I should really just say a really thin sheet of ice. I paced my horse beside it, wondering how to get to the other side. Oh- and you may be wondering why I'm not inside huddling next to the fireplace. Well, Let's just say cold never bothered me. It used to, but one day I looked at the moon, wished it wasn't cold anymore, and it came true. That's why people call me Moony. Because I'm always looking at the moon. A howl interrupted my thoughts. I looked across the river, to see Flash. Flash is one of my packs messengers. She gives messages to other packs and stuff.
"Don't worry, Flash! We're finding a way for you to get back!" I called to her. I slipped off Stella, Putting my boots in the cold snow. I walked up river, Alpha and Beta following me. Alpha and Beta- we, well, I, usually call them by their real names. Alpha, being Night, and Beta, being Winter. So sorry if I mention them by real names, or by rank names. Try not getting confused.
"Night, Tell your wolves to gather as much snow into a pile right here." I ordered her. See, that's the thing. I can talk to animals. When I told my father, he told me my mother did the same thing.
The pack gathered a huge pile of snow. I Circulated my hands, forming a swirl of snow. I pointed my hands toward the river, and my fingers up, touching my wrists together. Snow shot across the river, and I formed a bridge of snow.
"Come on, flash!" I heard Winter Yowl. She ran across the bridge, and when she got across I bent down to check her.
"Any injuries?" I asked.
"Only a little scratch above my left eye." Flash pointed her muzzle down so I could see. I ran my finger over the scratch
"It might be infected, but I doubt it. Itll heal in no time." I walked back toward my horse. I climbed on Stella and turned around.
"Ready?" I asked.
"Let's go!" Night yowled. We ran back into the woods. Stella jumped over a fallen log, the rest of the pack copying her. I continued Riding Stella till I reached my house. Nothing fancy, just a simple cabin. I slid off Stella and hitched her out front. I opened the door, letting the pack run inside. Then I closed it behind me. I quickly walked up to the fireplace, lighting it for the wolves. I'm guessing you want to know what my house looks like, Eh? Very well.
Homemade dog beds made off cloth and feathers lined the wall opposite of the fireplace. A small wardrobe carved of wood sat in a corner, a single wooden bed next to it.(dont worry, I used deer pelts, not wolf pelts.) Opposite of the bed was a desk(Wooden), where I kept my sewing materials. In the middle of the room was a couch facing the fireplace.
Some of the wolves were already sleeping. I took off my fur cloak and hung it on a nail next to the door, then quickly changed into my Sleeping clothes. What do you call them? Pajomas? Pajimas? Oh! It's pajamas. Anyway, I Climbed in bed and covered up with my wool blanket. Night and Winter jumped up and laid down at the end of the bed. I closed my eyes, and drifted into a dream.
It was something wet that touched my face that woke me up. I opened my eyes to see Night standing over me. She jumped off when she saw my eyes open. I sat up, and climbed out of bed. I opened my wardrobe, looking for something nice to wear. I threw on a pair of Jean shorts with black leggings, and a tang top with a black sweater over it. I slipped on my fur boots and put on my cloak. As I opened the door, I grabbed the clothes I wore the previous day. I closed the door as I stepped outside, where many of the wolves were gathered. Night was giving them orders.
"Hunters! Try to bring us something this time. Last night we had to starve. And don't come back until you have enough to feed the whole pack!" She snapped. All of the hunters headed off. Night turned around.
"Aslan and winter. Your on guard duty, while the rest of you come with us."
I unhitched Stella and climbed on her.
"Night." I said. "I want to expand the territory today. One of the main reasons there isn't enough food is because the hunters have hunted most of it, and the pack is growing by the moon." Night nodded. I kicked Stella's side, making her go. We ran until we reached the end of the territory, Which is just a Bramble thicket surrounding a single Spruce tree.
"Wait!" A yell made me stop before I crossed the border. Blizzard appeared from the forest.
"Wait!" He said again. "You can't explore now. We need to stay in the territory."
"Why?" Night asked.
"Aslan sniffed something out. We don't know what it is, but we could tell its way bigger than even Night is. So it must be stronger than two wolves are." I frowned. Nothing was bigger than Night in the pine forest except...
"Bear." I said. "Let's go. But we need to stay alert." We began walking toward the cabin, when Stella stopped.
"I smell something..." Stella muttered. Stella was always a quiet horse.
The Wolves started to smell the air.
"It's close." Ice whispered. All of a sudden, A Giant Grizzly bear appeared. It let out a roar, causing Stella to Stand up on her hind legs. The wolves formed a line Infront of me, Night in the middle.
"CHARGE!" Night Yowled. The Fighters ran at the bear. I could tell they were scared, but nothing is scarier than Night if you disobey her. I used my hand to activate my magic, picking up a boulder nearby. then I used two fingers, Quickly pointing to the bear. The Boulder flew through the air, hitting the bear in the side. It distracted the bear long enough for Night to lounge at it, biting into the side of its neck. The bear let out a whine, shook his head till night flew off, and fled.
I got off Stella.
"Everyone who is badly injured, lay down! Everyone who think they can make it back to the cabin, wait with Stella."
Ice, Fang, Mist, and Flame collapsed where they were, while Stone and storm slowly walked over to Stella. Night started Limping toward Stella
"Oh no you don't." I stopped her. Night let out a growl, but obeyed me. She laid down and closed her eyes. I crouched down and looked her over. She had a bite mark in her front right leg, and a scar on her Side.
"Blizzard, I need you to get back to the cabin. Under my bed is where my herb store is, and I need you to grab as much as possible and bring it back to me. Winter is trained to open the door." I said. Blizzard sped off into the woods as I started checking the other wolves wounds.
Blizzard got back almost right after she finished checking Mist. He had very little of my herbs, and he dropped them at my feet.
"That's all." He said. "The other ones were ripped or bitten."
"Okay..." I don't know why my herbs were destroyed, but I'll be making a New storage container When I get back home. I took the herbs he got and looked at them. Only one of what I really need was there.
"Blizzard. Run as fast as you can to the cabin. Get one of pups and Under the porch, there is many cobwebs. Get as many as you can. Hurry!" I took the piece of cobweb and crouched down beside Night.
"Don't waste it on me yet." Nights eyes were closed, but she knew I was there.
I thought for a moment, but realized she was right. Night was The toughest wolf here. She could last. I stood and walked over to fang, who was starting to whimper. I pressed the cobweb against his wound, trying to block the blood from flowing out.
"Stella!" I called to my horse. She walked over. I kept one hand pressed against the cobweb, while with the other hand I reached in a saddlebag. I grabbed a roll of tape, and took it out.i reached back in, grabbing a soft sphere. It was really a roll of bandage.
"Stone! I need your help." I put the roll of bandage and tape on the ground.
"What?" Stones deep voice said from behind her.
"I need you to stick your muzzle here, and lift fangs side up carefully." Stone stepped onto the other side of fang. He wedged his muzzle under fangs side, lifting it about an inch of the ground. I quickly wrapped the bandage around fangs body, taking a piece of tape and taping the bandage in place. Stone took his muzzle from under fang, He went back over to where storm was sitting. I scratched Fangs ears.
"You gonna be ok, buddy." I whispered. I stood up, walking over to Ice. She had a bleeding scar across her face.I crouched down beside her, avoiding the bloody snow.
"Don't open your eyes, Ice." I told her. I scooped up some clear snow, and spread it over her wound. Then I went over to Flame. She wasn't moving.
"Flame? Flame!" I took her head and set it on my lap.
"I'm... oka...okay..." Flame was bleeding on her side, her tail, and her left shoulder. She was dying. I took my hands and covered the wound on her side, trying to stop the blood.
"I'm here! I'm here!" Blizzards yell made Me jump. He was carrying a piece of bark, and on it were clumps of web. I quickly took the piece of bark out of his mouth. I used a piece of cobweb and stuck it to the wound on Flames shoulder, then took another piece and wrapped it around Flames tail. I used what was left of the bandages to wrap to around Flames side, lifting her up.
"Storm!" I called to him.
"Watch Flame. I can't properly look at her until we're back at the cabin."
I stood, Walking over to mist. She had three deep scars on her hind leg. Blizzard followed me, picking up the bark. When I ran my fingers over the scars on Mists' leg, she flinched . Using some snow, I spread it over her wound. It would help numb the pain. Though it was mostly likely infected, I couldn't do anything about it until I found the right herbs. Blizzard came up beside me.
"What are we going to do?" He asked.
"I...I..." I could let them down! But... Oh well. I couldn't let my pack down.
"We need to go into town. Me and you."
"Moony, no! I hate it there!"
"I know, I know. But I need one of you with me.. When you not, it seems... Wrong."
"Yes, Moony." Blizzard placed down the bark.
"I'll get the hunters. They'll need to watch these guys." With that he ran off into the woods. I quickly moved everyone together, making sure they were warm. I climbed on Stella, putting the remaining cobweb in a plastic bag and in my saddle bags. I waited for a few minuets, then Bluzzard emerged from the trees. He brough most of the hunters, Fresh Prey Hanging from some of their jaws.
"I told a few of them to go back to the cabin to give food to the pups." Bluzzard explained. I nodded and indicated with my hand for him to follow. I led him through the woods, past our border the faces the town.

CHAPTER 2 SNEAK PEAK
As we reached a road, I slowed Stella. Blizzard closed in next to me, clearly scared to be near civilization. As we continued down the road, I heard a noise... Almost like...
A car. Blizzard was walking to the left of me, right where the car would drive... The noise started to get louder as a moved closer to the edge of the road. I looked over at blizzard to see he hadn't moved with me. I saw a car heading towards us.
"Blizzard! Look out!" I yelled. The noise of the car was to loud for him to hear me. As it came tumbling down the road, blizzard looked behind him. But there was no time to get out of the way.
Keep a look out for chapter two: no looking back!
