MANGA SPOILERS //

I was pacing around our new hideout in which Musica brought us. I couldn't keep calm ever since we escaped the farm.

" Calm down (Y/N), it's okay now, we're safe!" Emma placed her hands on my shoulders and reassured me.

" I know, I know... it's just.. you can never be so sure..." I sighed and she hugged me.

" Come on, go to sleep, I'll do the work!"

" I could never-"

" It's decided, go to sleep! "

I smiled. How I loved this girl. She always knew what I needed the most.

I made my way towards the space where the children were sleeping. I placed myself next to Ray that was on the ground inspecting the strange pen.

I could look at him stare at that pen so passionately every day.

If it weren't just for this hell of a place my family and I could live a happy life.

" What's bothering you?"

" What-"

" Something is on your mind so you might as well spill it. I can see you fiddling with the hem of your shirt."

" How are you and Emma so good at this?"

" I can read you like a book." he replied.

I rolled my eyes and sighed.
" Look, I know that we have just escaped but.. nowhere is safe. Not until we reach Minerva. I don't even know if we can trust Musica...Agh,I'm so confused. "

Ray turned around, facing me.
" (Y/N)... It's okay. We're still kids, you don't have to be a God. Don't carry this burden on your own, whatever troubles you, Emma and I are there to help you. " Ray reassured me and I nodded.

" Now you should take a nap, if those eyebags get any deeper I'm afraid that your eyes might pop off". Ray joked and I giggled.

I made myself comfortable and closed my eyes. But then again, the reality came crushing down on me and I couldn't keep my eyes closed. Ray quickly picks up on things so of course he noticed that.

" Can't sleep?" he asked, already knowing the answer. I sighed in defeat.

" Come here."

" What-"

" Come here before I drag you."

Confused, I crawled to Ray.

" You know... I can remember Mom doing this to me when I couldn't sleep.." he giggled bitterly and gently placed my head on his lap, letting his fingers roam my hair.

The sweet lullaby echoed down the cave and I slowly drifted to sleep in Ray's arms.

At least my problems.. our problems could fade away for a brief moment.
