Some days later everything was more or less alright again. Actually I just stayed in bed doing nothing. The caught vampire got killed by the clave. Raphael was still worried. Magnus, Alec, Jace and the other shadowhunters had a ton to do because a lot of new demons appeared in the city. And I was busy sleeping in the king sized bed of my hot vampire boyfriend. I've lost all my motivation to do anything. After another nap I heard someone knock onto the door. I crawled under the blanket.

Freja: "Raphael, it's your room. Stop knocking." I mumbled.

I just heard someone laughing and pulling the blanket away. It was Jace.

Jace: "Little girl, get up. We are going on a mission together."

Freja: "No, I'll just stay in bed."

Jace grabbed onto my ankles and pulled me out of the bed.

Jace: "You have ten minutes to get ready. I'll wait on the sofa."

I decided to do what he told me. I mean, why not? Maybe some time outside would be good. I dressed myself and made my hair, then I joined Jace.

Jace: "Ready? Let's go!" He handed me a glowing dagger. 

We went outside.

Jace: "There is a demon near the Jade Wolf. The local werewolf pack lives there."

I just nodded. We went faster. I stopped  him and made a portal. The faster we could get there and the faster the demon was bed, the faster I could go back to bed. It's that easy. Seconds later we stood in front of the chinese restaurant. The light of the dagger was pulsing in my hand. Jace showed me with gestures that he wanted me to follow him. I did what I was told. Soon I saw a person standing near a container. He looked a human. A normal sized man with dark hair and light skin. He was wearing a suit. He turned around. Was that really a demon?

Jace did not hesitate to come closer and wanted to attack. I almost screamed that he should stop. But soon I noticed that Jace was right. It was a demon. Tentacles came out of the mans mouth. They looped around Jaces hand and the weapon fell down. I threw a bundle of fire towards the demon. He let go of Jace. I was his aim now. The demon came closer. It was more fascinating than scary. An instant later the creature stopped. Probably because of the angelic dagger that was stuck in his back by now. It was Jace. Seconds later the demon disappeared.

Jace: "You were supposed to use the dagger and not a fireball. You cheated."

Freja: "No, magic counts too."

We both needed to laugh. Someone appeared behind us. We decided to go into the Jade Wolf. A girl, probably my age, came towards us. 

Jace: "Hey, Maia. How is it..." She interrupted him.

Maia: "Is it dead?"

Jace: "Nice to see you too. Yeah, it is." He seemed annoyed.

I could tell he wanted to go by now. Seemed like he did not like the girl. I giggled. Jace probably had a lot of fun with other girls before he met Clary. She was most likely one of them. Someone entered the restaurant. It was Luke.

Luke: "Jace, Freja, why are you here? Did something happen? Is Clary alright?"

Jace: "Everything is fine. Your people called us to kill a demon. That's all. It's done."

Luke: "Oh well, thank you then. I could have done it myself tho. Maia, call me instead next time."

She nodded.

Luke: "But once you are here, do you want to eat something?"

It turned out that Jace definitely liked food a lot. Really a lot. By now it was his third plate.

Luke: "And you are sure, you don't want to have anything?"  He looked at me.

Freja: "No, I'm fine."

Jace: "She drinks blood."

I gave him an angry glance. I hated it when someone pointed that out.

Luke: "We have blood here too if you want that. Not human one but it's still blood."

Freja: "No, really. It's alright." I appreciated his effort. It seemed so normal to him.

Luke: "Freja, we need to have a talk tho. I understand that you are a vampire but don't you want to see the werewolf side too?"

Freja: "Honestly I did not really think about that anymore."

Jace: "You should give it a try." He talked with full mouth. Luke started laughing. Jace was a baby sometimes.

Luke: "I think so too. Come on, visit us on the next full moon."

Freja: "I'll think about it."

Jace: "Oh the werewolf thing... yeah you should give it a try too. I was talking about the food tho."

He smiled. I needed to talk that out with Raphael. I knew that there were several disagreements between the clan and the pack. I was loyal to the clan and it was not going to change.

After Jace finished eating we went home different ways. He went back to the institute and I went back to the hotel Dumort. Raphael was already waiting for me. It was right after midnight.

Raphael: "You killed a demon?"

Freja: "Nah, not exactly. I just threw a fireball at it." I grinned.

Raphael: "I'm glad you are up again. Ilumina mi día."

He gave me a kiss and put his arm around my waist.

Freja: "Going onto missions is kinda my thing. I like it. When there's a vampire in town next time I want to go with you again."

Raphael: "There is going to be a mission again soon I guess. The shadowhunters just send over a message. A meeting tomorrow at dawn. You should attent too. The clan belongs to us. We both need to represent it."

I nodded.

Raphael: "But for now, I do have other plans. Let's go to bed."

Freja: "I just went out of bed. I don't want to sleep now."

Raphael: "I was not talking about going to sleep. I'd rather do another activity in there. Esta noche gritarás mi nombre, de buena manera."

He grinned, showing off his fangs and lifted me up.
