The sun rose and we decided to go to the roof in order to try out the ring. I stepped outside. The first sun rays covered the floor. It was going to be a very sunny day. Raphael remained inside. I took him by the hand and slowly pulled him outside. Sun was touching his skin. But no smoke. No pain. I pulled him completely in the sunshine. He covered his eyes. I thought the sun was too bright for him but in reality he started crying happy tears. I laughed and hugged him.

Freja: "It's working. You can go out again."

Raphael: "I can't believe you did it. Hiciste posible lo imposible."

I wiped his tears away. We stayed another hour on the roof and then decided to go to several places in New York. Raphael wanted to see all the places in the daylight. I was exhausted so Raphael started carrying me and travelled with vampire speed. When the sun went down again we returned home. I was hungry.

Raphael: "No blood today."

Freja: "Why? What do you mean?"

Raphael: "We had such a human day... let's cook something or get chinese food or pizza."

Freja: "Well, if that's what you want." I laughed.

We ended up ordering pizza. It was okay but it would not fill me up. But at least Raphael was enjoying his high life. After that we went to bed. At a normal human time. He spooned me and gave me some more kisses on the cheek, head and neck.

Raphael: "You are my literal sunshine."

Freja: "No, be honest. I'm your princesa of darkness."

Raphael: "I don't care what you want to be. As long a you consider yourself as MINE I'm fine with it."

Some days later we were in the institute for another conference again. Raphael wanted to leave me at the hotel but he knew I would have followed him. If he wanted or not. When we entered the room, everyone else was already there. Jace came towards me and gave me a hug.

Jace: "I'm glad you are alright."

We sat down. The seelie queen was there too.

Seele queen: "What a pity that she is still alive. I should discipline my followers more, maybe they would show more effort then." I just smiled at her.

Jace: "We will kill you if you decide to hurt her."

Raphael: "My clan will help."

Luke: "And my pack will join. Why would you kill one of your people? She has the blood of a faerie. You are just scared that she might get more powerful than you."

Magnus: "I need to agree with Luke."

Seelie queen: "All of you, shut up. I did not allow you to give your opinion. She..."

The seelie queen was complaining about the fact that I was still alive and everyone was on my side. Meanwhile I noticed that there is a plant behind her. I looked over to Magnus and he just smiled and nodded. I let it grow. It almost reached her head now with it's ranks. It grew more and more and immediately looped around her neck. She stopped talking.

Freja: "What a pity that your slaves... excuse me... followers needed to wait outside this time. They can't enter the institute without Alec's permission, right? If I were you I would stop talking bullshit. Change your attitude if you speak about me."

I looped it around her even tighter and smiled. I still fixed her with my eyes. She already had trouble breathing.

Magnus: "Stop it."

I couldn't. And I did not want to. Why should I leave someone alive who wanted to see me dead?

Raphael: "Freja!"

He grabbed me by the chin and pulled it near to his face. The eye contact with the seelie queen interrupted and the plant fell on the floor. The queen still alive.

Raphael: "Oh my princesa is full of fuego. Maybe a bit too much of it."

I pulled my face away from his and spoke to the seelie queen again.

Freja: "If you ever try to harm me or my clan again I swear to the gods, I am going to burn your entire folk down until no one except you is left. I will lock you into a cell in the depths of a dungeon, starving, without light and warmth. You are going to suffer, knowing that no one of your slaves are going to save you. Try it. Play me. I will play back."

The seelie queen remained silent and slumped into the chair. I could tell she was afraid.

Alec: "You won't need to do that. She learned her lesson. Her followers are beginning to question her orders. They won't kill you."

Raphael: "They almost did."

Alec: "But not anymore. They know the consequences and also know that it would be wrong to kill you."

Jace: "What do you mean? Your clan? You decided to be a bloodsucker?"

Raphael wanted to answer. I could feel his anger so I held him back, laying my hand of his chest.

Freja: "See, Raphael was the only one who would let me choose what I want to be. You all just wanted to decide it by yourself. I don't let anyone decide over me. I am part of his clan and they accept me more than anyone of you ever would. I appreciate your effort but I don't want to be anything else. I'm not a nephilim, not a werewolf and not a faerie. I am a vampire and can serve my people with some magic. That's it. Let me live the life I chose."

The anger in Raphael seemed to disappear.

Magnus: "Luke, Jace, Alexander, you expect too much. Remember how much trouble Clary had joining our world? Imagine, having this stress five times higher. She behaved just right. She's learning fast. She can do a lot already."

Jace: "Please just let us teach you some fighting. Just in case a demon attacks you. Then we won't bother you anymore."

I agreed. If they left me alone then, fine...
