Aiko's internal struggle worsens as she starts losing control over her zombie form. Her abilities become more destructive, and her once strong connection to the spirits grows violent. She contemplates giving in to the curse to gain enough power to fight the dark forces gathering in her town.

Aiko (looking at her reflection): "Is this what I've become? My skin... it's paler. My heart... slower. I don't even feel the cold anymore. Am I even alive? I'm not sure how much longer I can fight this. Maybe... maybe it would be easier to let go."

Grandmother (interrupting): "Don't you dare, Aiko. You're stronger than this. I see the fight in your eyes. You're still you."

Aiko: "But for how long? Every day, I feel less human. What if I lose myself completely?"
