14. Avoid
Days began to pass by, the senshi always met up at the temple to discuss, and inform anything new. Luna was still at guilt, she had only told the girls that she was there to find the princess, and defeat the enemy, but there was much more to be told.
-
"We have to tell them now..." Luna informed the game counsel at Game Center Crown.
"I guess we should, since we now know ourselves... But I'm worried about that one guy you spoke about... The mysterious man in a tuxedo. His face covered with a mask..." He responded.
"...He seems like our enemy. I don't trust him." Luna said with an uneasy tone.
"You must tell everything to them, you can't hide the tiniest details. Everything." The low voice from the game instructed.
"I will."
"I'd like to speak to them... As well..."
-
"Girls we need to-" Luna began, but no one was listening.
"He was a pig." Rei told.
"He was just hungry." Makato protested.
"He was unpleasant, and bothersome." Ami pointed out.
"He ate that whole cake in one gulp." Rei laughed.
"Girls!" Luna caught their attention with a wild yell. Everyone, surprised, looked at her.
"Yes, what is it." They all questioned now in serious, and alert.
"I have to tell you all the tru-"
"I gotta go..." Usagi interrupted quickly standing from her seat with a apologetic smile.
"Usagi, Luna has to tell-" Makato was cut off by Usagi.
"I have work." Usagi responded quickly.
"Look there miss I have to ignore my friends, you are our leader and you-" Rei barked.
"It's my responsibility to do my job at-" Usagi snapped her smile vanishing.
"It's your responsibility for you to be apart of this team-" Rei stood with anger.
"What if I don't wanna be on this team, what if-" Usagi glared at Rei
"You don't have a choice, Usagi-" Rei, and Usagi were cut off from their debate by Luna.
"I remember!" Luna screamed unable to take the childish behavior. She spoke quickly, "I'm here to protect the Legendary Silver Crystal!" The air was silent, and everyone in the room looked confused.
"Legendary what?" Makato questioned.
"Haven't we heard that from somewhere...?" Rei asked cooling down a bit.
"The enemy brought it up before." Ami commented.
"I was sent here long ago to awaken the sailor guardians, find the princess, to defeat the enemy, but most of all to protect the Legendary Silver Crystal." Luna sighed.
"What's the Legendary Silver Crystal?" Makato raised her eyebrow.
"It's a very powerful object that the ruler of the Moon Kingdom processes to keep peace, and happiness. If in the wrong hands will we all be in danger."
"The princess?" Ami assumed.
"Yes. The princess is the only one who can save us. To defeat the enemy that wishes to snatch the Crystal to rule the earth. They know more than us... They don't have it yet so we must find it first before they destroy the world."
"Why are you telling us this now...?" Usagi asked annoyed, "You told us you didn't know anything-"
"I hadn't remembered till n-"
"You lied." Usagi snapped as her voice rose.
"I hadn't known till now. We weren't ready yet-" Luna informed.
"You're all strangers! How can I trust you, Luna?! I don't even know you! How can I fight alone side you if your going to lie to my face!"
"Sailor Moon-"
"Don't call me that..." Usagi's voice cracked, "I'm not Sailor Moon..."
"Yes you are, Usagi... You were-"
"I'm going now. I have to work, and I'm waiting for-"
"Mamoru." Luna finished for Usagi. The air silent once again, "Stay away from him."
"You don't have to right to make my life's decision." Usagi told her voice now settle, and at a calm rate, but still irritated.
"Usagi, Luna's here to help. She's learning, and finding stuff out just like the rest of us." Rei explained.
"She can't change my life!" Usagi yelled, "You can't change my life... All of you...!" Usagi ran out with anger. Her heart rate was wild, and her breathing was hectic. Running forward she had nowhere to go, but home, the library, or work. Entering the arcade she knew it was the right, but also wrong decision.
"Usagi? Are you alright?" Asked Motoki asked shocked, and concerned. Usagi fell to her knees. That's right, she didn't work today, Motoki did.
"I w-was m-mistaken... I thought I had to w-work... Today..." Usagi told truthfully as she panted.
"What's wrong, are you alright?" Motoki asked again.
"I'm f-fine." Usagis voice cracked. Motoki immediately ignored her words, and kept on worrying.
"Usagi, we're close friends, tell me why you're-" Before Motoki could finished Usagi balled drastically. Pain pounding through her veins, "Why are you crying?! Tell me-"
"I-I-" Why can't Usagi be normal... Why not, why can't she be happy...? Usagi kept thinking negatively, her breaths heaving. She looked nuts, crazy, completely insane while she stared out into space with crazed eyes.
"Usagi!" With warmth, Motoki held onto Usagis shoulders roughly, "are you alright."
Usagi, with tears forming in her eyes instantly regretted her behavior. She smiled through the pain, and sniffles as she responded, a mild crack in her gentle whispered tone. "I'm sorry... I'm fine.... Motoki..." Usagi faked yawned. After the scene she made at the arcade Usagi apologies, and admitted she was slight drunk, and wasn't getting sleep lately; very tired. Of course she was lying to her dear best friend Motoki, but it wasn't a sin. She instead made matters worse, and kept living her life on. She worked at the arcade, went home, and maybe a battle or two would come up. As more battles formed as days passed, and more were won by the four sailer dressed superheroes, Usagi gave off a eerie vibe now to her teammates, she seemed more distant, and not as odd as normal as she normally acted, and was.
"Wanna meet up later?" Makato questioned stretching her arms.
Ami breathed in, "I'm free after work." She told.
"I'm free anytime. I can take breaks whenever." Rei explained.
"Let's meet-"
"Can't." Usagi smiled apologetically, "I gotta work, and then do stuff, sorry!" She bit her lip as she walked backwards, "I actually gotta go now too! Very busy busy busy! Sorry, don't hate me!" And she ran off. The three girls all stood there dumbfounded as they watched there friend completely shut them out of her life. Luna felt abandoned just as the rest of them did.
"Do you think she's just being... Fake now?" Ami questioned.
"She totally threw a tantrum last time we hung out like this... She's acting as if it didn't happen." Makato agreed.
Luna sighed, "Just let her be for now... I guess..."
-
"She's avoiding everything." Luna told the counsel, "I don't think you'll be seeing them anytime soon. Usagis being to stubborn right now."
"She needs time to accept her destiny. She's just a little stressed." The counsel told.
"That's what I told the rest of them... Do you think it'll be soon-"
"She'll realize it soon. Yes." The low voice answered, "Don't worry. Just keep at it, what your doing is perfect."
"I feel like she won't ever understand. I'm not sure I understand." Luna admitted.
"We were sent here by Queen Serenity five years ago... We should've awaken way before we have. I'm just hoping were not to late to find the princess or defeat the enemy. Hopefully they don't have the Legendary Silver Crystal or we'll all be in danger." The counsel sighed.
"Everything's just a little behind... We just have to work with what we've got." Luna told assuringly.
"I suppose your right. I shouldn't be downing everything." The counsel apologized.
"You're alright, we're in a tough spot right now." Luna reassured some more.
"I hope she wakes soon, so I can see you sooner." The counsel muttered.
"What was that?" Luna questioned not hearing the game.
"I'll talk to you soon." The counsel spoke, and the chat ended. Luna jumped down from her seat, and left her headquarters. Left the Sailor V game, and the arcade.
