his lips mumbled an answer i couldnt quite grasp.

his eyes looked at me, in a dull manner.

it wasnt just the manner of his eyes.

it was his eyes that were - in general - dull.

they held no life in them.

"so, do you come here frequently?" i questioned.

his head shot up.

he nodded.

and to that, i smiled.
