Tsubaki Yuta comes from a pristine family where reputation is everything. When she was young she played the role of the obedient daughter, but as she got older she realized just how stupid feuds between old men shouldn't be past down to their child. So committed what her family thought as the worst betrayal, she became friends with her father's greatest rival's daughter.

After such a stunt of disobedience, Tsubaki has another fight with her parents but this time it ended with physical violence, her mother had slapped her. That was the last straw for Tsubaki's grandparents when she told them what happened. Tsubaki went to live with her grandparents we're she meets someone who's a lot like her, a shadow in a world full of light.
