Both Porchay and Rain discussed what it means to have both Kim and Phayu as mates. Discussed is a little bit excessive, maybe. More like Porchay was painting Rain a picture of what it will be like having them as mates.
Rain might be more to the naive side of the world, but not Porchay. He met a dominant alpha in love before and a few alphas like Phayu had confessed their undying love for Porchay before.
He had seen how Kinn was when he found Porsche. Porsche was an alpha. He is also very capable of both defending and providing for himself. Still, for Kinn, Porsche needs extra protection and every best the world can give, handed in a gold platter.
Kinn was so quick to decide the home that had been housing Porsche and Porchay for years was no longer safe and enough for Porsche. No. Porsche was for whatever mansion Kinn lived in. Porsche was for culture coveted dining and wine, diamond and silk that he provided.
Kinn was courteous to Porchay, but it was clear he wasn't interested. He was kind to him because Porsche demanded him to be. He threw money at him, which he never took. One time, he bought Porchay a sports car. Porchay told the delivery men to take it back, not even allowing it to park inside of the gate.
For Kinn, Porchay was simply Porsche's little brother. And Porsche, although he claimed, still claims, that he loves Porchay lets him rule his world and dictate how he lives.
Yes, for the sake of being fair, the couple invited him to live with them which he refused. Porchay wasn't naive. He knew where the money the Theerapanyakuls gathered came from. He said to Porsche in his face that he didn't want anything to do with that family business.
It is a bit anti-climactic that he is now a mate of a Theerapanyakul. Life is being a sarcastic jerk for this.
Anyway ... He, more or less, knows what it means to be a mate to that clan's member. He has it researched. They are a classic patriarchal family. The 'wife' has to follow the 'husband' with little to no excuses.
He studied Kim for the last seven days and didn't find Kim as a classic patriarchal man. He let Chay say anything on his mind with no censor, no matter how absurd it was. He, to this day, never threw a tantrum or even scolded him harshly. He never dictated how he lived his life. All he asked was Chay let go of some of his privacy for the sake of safety. He asked, not demanded. He listened and didn't cross Chay's boundaries if Chay didn't let him in.
Kim seems to be unlike Kinn in terms of possessiveness, in Porchay's mind. He allows Porchay to stay in his own home, although dutifully bringing meals and whatever it is Porchay needs every day by himself or asking his trusted people, Big or someone named Mong.
That's a good thing, right?
But ... Maybe he is not that far behind. Kim relentlessly wanted to feed the food to him, an act of intimacy that put Porchay in an awkward position. If he didn't get his way, he pouted and sulked in his own way. Not in a cute way, no. He will heave, sigh, and cocking his tongue inside of his mouth. He will stare hard with those eyes that suddenly become cold and give Chay a short answer. Once or twice, Porchay yielded, rejoicing in Kim's sweet smile.
Kim also held a grudge knowing that Porsche already paid his tuition until he graduated. "Do you have a calculation on how much money Porsche spent on you?"
"From the moment P'Kinn and Hia mated? Yeah."
"No, since he provided for you."
Porchay's eyes rounded then he shook his head. Kim chuckled, seemingly deep in his thoughts afterward. "Maybe we'll just do a rough estimation and transfer it to him?" he asked without really asking.
"You're not going to transfer him the money," Porchay put his foot down.
His mate frowned. "Why not?"
"Because then we will be facing a world of complicated problems and, baby, I don't want to do anything complicated."
Kim stayed still for a moment before he said, "Ok, I let it pass because you called me baby."
Porchay was dumbfounded, but it was a win for him so he didn't push. Plus this whole thing is a new world for him. He is still in the pace of getting to know Kim or anything mate-related for that matter.
Love has never crossed his mind.
He likes Kim. He likes his appearance (absolutely). Kim is beautiful in any standard the world thrown on beauty. He can be both beautiful masculinely and femininely.
Kim had a triangle shape of body, with broad shoulder and a tiny waist. He proudly displayed that to Chay one day when he came home (Kim's, because Chay is particular about who can come and go to his house) after work. He didn't seem to care about many people that still following him and talking about work.
Chay's eyes were diligently following him, drinking his beautiful appearance to his heart's content. Judging from the smirk on Kim's lips, he was enjoying it.
He likes how Kim mostly gives in to what he wants and indulges and spoils him in a way that his brother does not. He likes how Phayu seems to think that Kim grows second head every time he talks to Chay in his softer and lower voice than the one he used on Phayu or his men. He likes how Kim sees Chay constantly touching him is no big deal, even in front of someone else.
One time in this seven-day relationship, Chay tested it by sitting on Kim's lap when Kim, Phayu, and two other men were talking about something he didn't want to know about. He was bored because Kim insisted he go to his house and turned out, he had an emergency meeting there.
The man just let him do it.
He even circled his arms around Chay's body, cradling him. Porchay had to fight with the sudden feeling of hot and embarrassment, but he didn't want to back down.
No. That wasn't Porchay.
So he whispered in Kim's ear, "I want to go to a supermarket." (No, he didn't need to go to a supermarket. Kim's house was very well equipped with anything and everything he needed. He didn't want to know how that man knew. He just was.).
Kim stopped his men talking by his hand. "Hm?"
"Supermarket," Chay repeated. "I want to buy some snacks."
"You have snacks." It sounded like a light scold. Probably was. Kim had stocked snacks and drinks for him, enough to last him a month even if he ate and drank it every day.
"Not the kind I want."
Kim was taking a deep breath, a small smile played on his face. "Ok, after this."
Porchay gave him a big smile and attempted to come down from his lap, but Kim's arms tightened. Porchay tried again, but the hold was becoming even more tight. Kim moved to his ear, whispering, "Behave," before kissing his cheek.
Porchay froze. Something was snaking inside of his body. Arousal. He can feel himself harden in an instant. Kim knew, seemed like it anyway, because he pressed his nose to Chay's scent gland and took a deep whiff. "Oh, Ter," he whispered again.
It wasn't helping Chay's hardened state.
In cases like this, Chay was thankful for his almost odorless condition, because, except Kim, no one could smell his arousal.
Kim resumed his meeting like nothing happened. He even absent-mindedly brushed Porchay's hair gently while Porchay was hiding his face on his chest. He certainly didn't want to meet anyone's eyes.
Chay ended up with a mountain of snacks and drinks that evening.
But still, Chay dismissed the act as a crazy mate-bond thing.
So that is why when he decided to go to the ob-gyn to do something about his heat which will overlap with the beginning of the internship, it slipped his mind to let Kim know.
That's his mistake. Because Kim doesn't seem to be in a good mood when he meets him in front of the clinic.
"Mind explaining to me why are you here?"
Porchay frowns, not used to being questioned. "To get an injection to regulate my heat."
He sounds like it's nothing. That is what's angered Kim more. He was supposed to discuss this kind of thing, anything and everything for that matter, with Kim.
But to Porchay's defense, it is nothing to him. He used to do this in the past time because sometimes work didn't want to know if you were about to be in heat. Why would anyone feel offended by him doing something so regular for omegas like him?
"Why do you need to do that?"
"For my internship. I've told you that, right?" he replies, still confused.
Kim almost swears, but looking at Porchay's confused face, he halts himself. He takes a deep breath and exhales slowly. "You don't need to do that. You have a mate now."
"Yes, I know. But my internship can't be postponed. They can take a new person as an intern, but I can't take a new company until next semester. It will mess up my timeline and I won't graduate on time."
Kim stays still. Porchay can vividly see the gears in his head are working. Then the man just nods before opening his car door for him.
Kim is giving him a silent treatment after that.
It baffles Chay. He doesn't know what to do. He doesn't even know he did something wrong. So Kim's anger angered him.
So when the car stops in front of his house, he just exits without even paying a glance at Kim. Kim doesn't call him, still in his silence. He gives a cue to his driver to move.
It angers Porchay more.

For seven days, Phayu can't seem to let Rain breathe.
Rain is envious of the growth of Porchay and Kim's relationship. Kim seems ok to let Porchay be himself or running around doing whatever he has been doing.
Kim didn't even bat his eyes when Porchay asked absurd questions like, "Are you a top or a bottom?"
Kim hiked his brows, yes, but he still answered. "For now, I'm a top. Never bottomed for anyone."
"For now?" Porchay asks again. While Rain looked at him like he was crazy. He probably was, asking this kind of question to a dominant alpha. Of fucking course he was a top.
"If you want to experiment...," Paused, "I think I'm ok with that."
Then he turned to Rain. "What are you, Rain?"
"I don't know. I never have sex, remember?"
"If you have sex, what do you want to be?"
Rain glanced to Phayu who seemed to wait for his answer also. "I don't know," Rain mumbled, embarrassed.
Porchay seemed to know his discomfort, he let go and talked to Kim again. It left Rain with Phayu.
Phayu leaned closer and whispered, "I'm also a top, but don't mind if you want to experiment things out."
Rain wanted to dig a hole and crawled in it.
Rain doesn't know what to do with Phayu's constant existence near him. It's like he needs Rain to be at least in his peripheral for him to breathe.
Rain feels like he is thrown back to the past and he is not sure how to feel about it.
Like this morning, Phayu is ready with breakfast on the table. When he drinks his milk, Phayu playfully says, "Why are you still drinking milk?"
"Why not? It's good for my growth."
"Seems to me you don't grow much." It earns him a glare, but he just continues, "Well, maybe with this brand you will."
Yes. Phayu bought him a ridiculously expensive brand of milk. It tastes good, not going to lie. But Chay still snickered at it, saying it was useless. Kim had to put his hand on his mouth for a fight between him and Phayu broke again. Phayu was upset but a hand on his thigh made him let go of the matter.
"It already passed," he grumbly says.
Phayu seems confused, "What, Baby?"
"My growth phase."
He dares to display that gentle smile on Rain and says, "That's ok, Baby. You look super cute with this height."
Rain is annoyed, so he says, "Yeah, one of my Phi said so too."
It gets Phayu to sit straighter. "A phi?"
"Mh," Rain hums, enjoying the tick on Phayu's handsome face.
"Care to elaborate who is this phi you're talking about?"
"Oh, you won't know who I'm talking about. But he's a good phi. He often bought me lunch or drinks or ice cream. He also helped me a lot with my study too."
"Varain ..."
He's angry. Rain has to suppress his smile. "What?"
"Who the fuck is he?" Phayu says through gritted teeth.
"Someone you don't know."
It's impossible. Phayu is certain he knows every person in Rain's life, he made sure of it. What is this?
The uncertainty is driving him insane with jealousy.
Rain doesn't seem to want to elaborate more. He closes his mouth and eats diligently.
"You know that I can find out about this guy easily, right?"
Rain just looks at him with a light in his eyes he is yet to decipher. He just says, "Okay," and resumes his activities.
Rain is not lying. There is certainly someone like that in his life. That guy also comes from money and is so good-looking that Rain thought people's necks would crack at the sight of him. He comes from a different faculty but often helps Rain in general studies, like English or Thai.
His world doesn't revolve around Phayu. He wants to prove it.
"Rain!" he calls with a wide smile. "Had breakfast yet?"
"Already did, Phi."
The guy pouts. "I haven't. It looks like I eat alone again."
"I'll accompany you, Phi. But would you mind to assist me with my English homework?"
That guy smiles again. "No, not at all. Anything for my Rain."
Rain laughs. It always tickles him by how ridiculous that nickname is.
"Thank you, Phi Pai."
