102: What if....
Fatal Trouble - ENHYPEN
To say that Jimin was a little nervous would be an understatement. It's rare the moments where Taemin is this serious about things, or in general, but lately it's been much rarer to see a smile form his pretty lips since the night with his father.
He hasn't been the same since then, and Jimin can't blame him.
Everyone here are just coping at this point with their own mess in their lives, trying to figure out a way on handling their own problems.
Perhaps this is what Taemin wants to talk about? His problems?
It's hard to tell, and overthinking about it isn't helping Jimin's consciousness.
Today has been a good day as it is. Him and Jeongguk went to the movies, and then to a manga store afterwards, perhaps had a nice stroll around the city. Jimin has got to know through that time that Jeongguk, aside from being a bit geeky and reserve, is quite a romantic.
He had no shame in grabbing Jimin's hand, or putting his hands on Jimin's waist whenever he wanted. He also didn't fight off being affectionate with him by buying him flowers from a woman selling them down the streets or be so poetic about things he sees.
Jimin did feel his heart swoon for the man, can't even deny that.
No wonder everyone in this household are whipped for him, even Ariana.
His sensitivity to little things could make anyone's heart burst.
Anyways, right now isn't the time to recall such memories, even if it hasn't stopped making Jimin feel geeked up from the inside.
Jimin smiles to the thought just as he makes it outside Taemin's door, right before telling himself to gather his composure and knocks on the wooden door.
Didn't take long for Jimin to hear a faint 'come in' from the other side, feeling his heart skip a few beats before stepping inside. The room is empty, aside from Taemin laying down on his own bed. Jeongguk was going to see Minho once the two arrived, so no doubt they're in his room at the moment.
Leaving Taemin and Jimin completely alone.
Jimin still is a little nervous, rubbing his now blonde hair - yes, he dyed it from orange to blonde - and closes the door behind him.
Taemin was typing on his computer when Jimin walked in, but he closed the computer and eased it aside. He slides off his bed as Jimin was approaching him, but Jimin was taken back when Taemin suddenly engulfed him in a tight hug.
Oh, he's definitely not okay right now.
Sure, Taemin is affectionate, but he's a playful affectionate type of person.
This is a hug fueled with sensitivity.
Jimin frowns heavily, feeling Taemin's strong arms tightly around him, and he reluctantly wraps his arms around his neck - tightening his hold.
He held him for as long as Taemin wanted.
However long that was going to be.
Taemin wasn't crying or expressing any type of emotions, only releasing all of his weight onto Jimin's body. Jimin held him upright, rubbing his hair soothingly while softly swaying them side to side, trying to ease him down.
Seems like this is what Taemin needed because he instantly snuggled closer to Jimin, releasing a heavy sigh, "I needed this."
"A hug."
"No, you."
Jimin's heart skipped a beat in his chest, and Taemin pulls away, meeting his eyes, "I.... I need to confess something to you Jimin."
Those words with the heaviness in Taemin's tone flooded shivers down Jimin's spine, and Jimin slowly nods but remains silent to let him continue.
Taemin seems conflicted now, unsure on what to say, and this is so unlike him since Taemin is always quite impulsive with his words.
He really has been spending too much time in his own head.
"I know I said I didn't want to settle down, and that if no one is on the same page than it won't happen, especially you with your relationship with Lucas," Taemin rambles, the stress clear before his eyes, "But Jimin.... I'm starting to feel so much for you - for a long time actually. I've tried to make it stop but I can't help it, I really do want to be with you."
Jimin blinks at him.
This...... Was not what he was expecting, at all.
Taemin was always strongly for experiencing life and explore, never to settle down.
Unless.....
Jimin perks a slow eyebrow as Taemin takes his hands, looking at him, "Would you accept my feelings? For us to be together?"
Jimin stares at him hard.
He stares at the deep bruises under his eyes.
The sweat patching his forehead.
His skin at a loss of color.
Taemin is not okay.
A distraction, he's looking for a distraction.
Maybe he doesn't realize it now, but he will eventually.
Now isn't the time.
As much as it pains Jimin to do this, trust him it does since he's been having feeling for Taemin for a long time now, he releases his hands instead.
That alone shattered Taemin's heart.
"Not now," Jimin says calmly, frowning, "You are under a lot of stress. Your father is in the radar, the situation with Karma, and also exams for school and sports - There's a lot going on right now in your life, and you're not okay for a relationship."
"You don't know that -"
"You want a distraction, not me," Jimin cuts him off, silencing his words, "As much as I'd love to say yes, right now that'll be selfish of me to do. For both of us. You need time for yourself before tying yourself with someone else."
Taemin's shoulders shagged down, a deep frown on his lips with this stubborn glare in his eyes, "I am fine, I don't need time for myself."
Jimin reaches for his hands, gripping tightly, "I'd love for us to be in a relationship when there's not a lot of shit going on now, but as for now - Where are you going?"
Wordlessly Taemin removes his hands from Jimin, the rejected pain filling his eyes as he grabs a sweater from his closet, "If you don't want to be in a relationship, that's fine, but don't make it seem like it's because me and my issues," And he faces him, "Maybe it's time for you to stop trying identify how I'm feeling and reflect on your feelings instead."
And with that, Taemin storms out of his room, leaving Jimin with a tight knot on his throat and a heavy frown on his lips.

Be My Baby - Jealous Friend x SBSTN
Studying never becomes easy, no matter how many times you do it over and over again, it's a never-ending cycling of annoyance and stress.
It's never easy, along with the overwhelming feeling it brings too - something close to feeling like a failure to society, and it's something that unfortunately never goes away.
Woosung is no different, he's experiencing the full effects of feeling like a failure to life as they speak.
"So, after you do this, then -"
"Taehyung. my brain is dead."
"Oh come on, just try to-"
Woosung whines as he shoves the papers aside, looking at Taehyung in plead, "We've been studying for three hours! Please, my brain needs a break!"
Taehyung looks between Woosung's pleading eyes and then softens a smile, shaking his head to himself before rubbing Woosung's hair, "Fine. Go ahead."
A puff of air releases from Woosung's lungs, "Finally," And he looks at Taehyung, "So.... Now what?"
Taehyung is cleaning up his area, shrugging, "I was just going to go to my room. I don't really have much to do-"
"Let's go out," Woosung suddenly says, standing to his feet, "Besides, we rarely ever spend time together. We both could use it."
Before Taehyung could even say a single protest, Woosung snatched his hand and dragged him out the house. To be fair, Taehyung didn't fight him off. He needs this - a distraction. Somewhere to run off into instead of coming back and being reminded of the same problem over and over again.
Not once has Woosung brought up Karma to Taehyung, and it's relieving to just act like everything is still the same.
Woosung really is a gem.
A far precious gem because he ended up taking Taehyung to where Taehyung loved the most - the mall to go shopping.
Exactly what Taehyung needed.
They went around many stores, trying on different clothes and buying some for themselves. For the first time in a while, Taehyung's smile didn't fade away. Woosung was silly around him, which is something not seen often from him since he's usually very shy. Looks like he really wanted to cheer Taehyung up, which did work wonders.
Now with shopping bags, they're in another store trying on my clothes. Well, this is their last stop, and they collectively agreed that they wanted to get something formal. Who knows when an occasion could arise where one will have to dress their best.
So that's very important.
Woosung is waiting on the couch inside the fitting room, waiting for Taehyung to come out.
He was scrolling through his phone, well Twitter to be precise, just as Taehyung exit out of the curtains.
"I think it's too fitted."
Woosung puts his phone away, looking up, "Hm-"
The air got choked in his throat.
Well....
He was.... Not expecting this.
Not even.... The slightest.
Sure, Taehyung is a handsome man, but.... He really has been holding himself back with his attires.
Woosung gulps slowly to the well-fitted black suits on Taehyung's body, along with the black button up shirt under the blazer. He moves from the curtains to the broad wall mirror against the wall, staring at himself.
Woosung was at a loss of words,
His eyes could stop staring at Taehyung. Everything about what he's wearing is simply perfect on his body. The black clothes enhance his features so much, it makes his beauty stand out.
He's just.... Simply irresistible.
"I don't know, maybe this is too much. What do you think?"
Suddenly he turns around, and Woosung gulps slowly as he shamelessly glazes his eyes down his body and back up to his face.
He's so..... Stunning.
Absolutely handsome.
"You should buy it."
"Really?" Taehyung questions, the insecurity perfectly on his face, "Isn't it too much?"
Woosung shakes his head, "You look handsome Taehyung."
Seems like Taehyung wasn't expecting such compliment to come out naturally from Woosung because he shyly smiles, blushing a little before turning back to the mirror and looks at himself more confidently, "Hm, in that case, I'll get it."
Yes, please.
Even if Taehyung has no occasion specifically on when to wear it, Woosung wouldn't hesitate on making an occasion occur just to see him wearing that.
So, Taehyung sends him one last smile before going back to the curtains to change, leaving Woosung to place a hand on his chest where his heart is racing.
Oh this is a problem....
Why is his heart racing like this?
Ohh a big big problem.
Woosung takes out his phone, texting Ariana immediately that they need to talk tonight.
He's not about to be going through this crisis alone, that's for sure.

Wrong Crowd - Tom Odell
It's interesting to observe from an outside perspective how life could drastically change so much from one moment to the next. It could all take just a simple second, and everything could suddenly shift.
Everything that you once knew, or have been living for in that moment, just changes. Suddenly, everything is not the same anymore. What you once knew is gone.
Either for the good, or bad.
Jeongguk knows better than anyone those drastic changes in life, he's a prime example of living it in the moment as they speak.
Moving to South Korea was the best change Jeongguk could ask for, despite having the internal conflicts flooding this house like shadows chasing after the light when the sunsets. Nothing would ever compare to the horrors that Jeongguk has lived through in his own home back in Japan.
Nothing would ever haunt him as much as what he saw with his own eyes from a young age, learning to survive on his own while his mother tried to make a living for the two of them on her own.
All his mistakes, now given the chance to start new.
"As a child, did you ever have a dream?"
Jeongguk's ears twitched to Minho's questions, frowning deeply.
A dream....
It's been a long time since he has ever thought about something like that.
It was never about dreaming while growing up, it was simply only on surviving.
Surviving from being bullied at school for being mixed race, surviving understanding his own body and thoughts when he became a teenager, and surviving his gang members - who raised him while growing up in the apartment complex with his mother, all the way until he got into the gang as a freshman.
He was exposed enough as it is.
A dream....
What a silly idea.
"No," Jeongguk mutters back, staring at the ceiling, "There was no point."
Minho hums quietly back to him, turning to his side to face Jeongguk, "I always wanted to be a professional basketball player."
"You're on the swimming team now, what changed?"
"My basketball coach told me I wouldn't be good enough for league," And Minho shruggs, "Never asked for more information, I went for swimming instead."
"Is that your new dream?"
"No," Minho says back, shrugging, "I don't know actually what my dream. Guess it's something I'll figure out in the future."
Jeongguk tugs a frown on his lips, looking deeply in his memories - for one good thing that he could ever think of something close to a dream.
Or some type of normality.
Until one appeared.
"My mother was a ballet instructor when I was a child," Jeongguk suddenly reveals quietly, his eyes empty, "She had no one to take care of me, so she would always bring me to her sessions. I would copy her movements, and then after class, she would go over the steps with me. The students adored me, they would always help me out or teach me something new whenever they saw me."
Jeongguk slowly closes his eyes, a small smile twinkling his lips, "I remember this moment so vividly. We were in the ballet studio together, right after practices, and my mother was going over some steps to show to her students the next day for their Nutcracker performance. The light was glazing inside that room, making it appear so warm. My mother's movements were so soft yet precise as she danced to the music. I was right beside her, trying to mimic those moments with her," A brighter smile twinkled Jeongguk's lips, "She saw me and laughed, guiding me through the movements with tender touch, she was always so careful with me."
When Jeongguk opened his eyes again, he didn't realize that it was pooled with tears to the memory, but those are emotions he couldn't run away from.
He misses his mom.
He misses his mom in this memory.
When she inspired him.
A hand on his head brough Jeongguk back to realizing that he wasn't exactly alone, quickly going to wipe his tears just as Minho spoke, "That's a beautiful memory. Look at you being a little dancer."
Jeongguk snorts, shaking his head, "Trust me, those moves are long gone. I stopped dancing at eight years old, so those moves are gone," And he frowns sadly, "It's just a memory now."
Minho still has his hand on Jeongguk's head, rubbing his hair, "What happened to your mom? Why did she stop dancing?"
"Dancing didn't pay the bills," Jeongguk whispers, his eyes now fogged, "She found another source of employment that was enough.... I guess that's when our life turned to shit."
"What happened?"
Doubt flooded Jeongguk's mind, debating whether to open his mouth of not. He never spoken about these issues so openly to anyone. Yuta was always there throughout his entire life, so he never had to express anything about it, and to Momo as well, but now it's different.
If he opens up now, maybe.... Just maybe.... He'll find some clarity.
Or maybe some peace with the past.
Jeongguk sighs, deciding on just giving it a try, "My mother decided to do underground shows. She knew how to dance, so it was easy for her to adjust into it. At first, it started off as just dancing, but then she figured out that by..... Doing acts.... She'll get more money."
The memory so vivid of remembering his mother arriving home late at night, having blotches of hickeys on her neck and an empty void in her eyes. Yet, she tried to still smile at her precious boy, assuring him that everything is okay.
"She did everything to make me happy," Jeongguk whispers, "She bought me the latest clothing fashion, bought us a new car to drive around - she did everything so I could have a better life, even if it meant sacrificing herself every night to make it happen."
Now the frown on Jeongguk's lips got deeper, "I.... I didn't want my mother to suffer. So, in my apartment complex, there were these gangsters who were always around with me while my mother wasn't around. They practically raised me to be a man. They didn't hesitate to take me in when I told them that I wanted to be part of their crew, since I've already seen enough from them. As I grew up, I got enemies, I was really getting into dangerous waters, and my mother wasn't naive to how I started hanging out more with the gangster boys."
He can still hear her voice in his head, "She sat down with me one night and she told me, 'When you grow up, I want you to be someone great. Maybe a lawyer or a doctor. Don't forget that you don't have a father, and the partner you choose to be with in the future has to love you. I am your mother, father and your friend. I will always love you, and I'm sorry that I can't do better.'"
A tear glided down Jeongguk's face, "That was the last time she ever told me something like that, right before she started doing drugs.... She couldn't control the addiction, as much as she tried, and I was too deep in my own issues to help her. Until one day, I got arrested for accusations of murdering someone, a random civilian. Apparently, someone said it was me."
Minho's eyes widen, head slowly rising up, "But you didn't... Right?"
"Of course not," Jeongguk rolls his eyes, "It was my leader who betrayed me. Apparently, the cops have been sticking their noses too much into his business, so he threw my name out there so they can back off. My mother was there when the cops came to get me, and her expression when she saw me in handcuffs as the cops took me away..... That changed everything for me."
Jeongguk now sits up, rubbing his face a little before deeply exhaling, "Anyways, Momo, my other friend, came clean and showed evidence that my leader was the one who set me up. Momo was quite convincing declaring that I was manipulated and groomed as a child into this life and that I didn't deserve to be in jail. Especially since I never committed a crime, I was always a bystander. Her dad was the chief of police, so it didn't take long for me to get out. However, that came with a price. After investigating my home and my life, I had to leave Japan and come here for my safety. I was lucky, not everyone gets that opportunity."
Minho also is sitting up, eyeing Jeongguk's emotionless gaze, frowning to himself, "I never expected that. I'm sorry you went through a lot."
Now this perked a smirk out of Jeongguk, shaking his head, "I don't regret anything."
Well, Minho was not expecting this.
"Huh?"
Jeongguk turns to look at him, "If it wasn't for all those things that happened, I wouldn't be here. Call it some sick twist of fate, but I connected better here with myself than I had anywhere else. I didn't even realize how sensitive I was until I got here. So.... I don't regret it."
Hm, look how Jeongguk has matured.
Despite the fact that he may seem sensitive and soft on the outside, he really has himself pulled together.
No doubt after everything he went through, he has to have a tough skin.
Looks like there was more to him than met the eye, and Minho knows now better than to underestimate him.
He's not a softie as he makes himself to be.
A small smile twitches Minho's lips, raising a hand and rubs Jeongguk's neck, "That's true... I'm proud of you for making it this far," And he smiles slowly widens cheekily, "Looks like I'm this apartment's therapist. I just need Jimin and Woosung next."
Jeongguk rolls his eyes with a snicker, "I know Taemin opened up to us, and Taehyung opened up to you?"
"He sure did, guess I have that aura," And Minho smiles adoringly, "Do you feel safe with me Jeongguk?"
"Of course I do.
"Good," And he pinches his cheeks, "I'll always want to make sure you and the roomies are safe, and I'll make sure that happens."
Jeongguk finally smiles, genuinely, relaxing with a head resting to Minho's shoulder, "I know."

Into You - Ariana Grande
Ariana rarely is alone.
She has stopped being alone physically ever since what happened with Moonlight - mainly because all of the roommates always want to be on overprotective mode. However, being alone is something Ariana desperately needed right now.
Away from the same people, the same routine, just.... Everything.
That's how she ended up finding herself here, in a random music store in the midst of her walk. She stopped singing for a while, but she was always so passionate about using her voice.
She loved to sing.
Perhaps that's how she found herself here.
Thankfully there's not a lot of people here, making her feel more welcomed. Looks like this is cafe where musicians can get their guitar or instrument and relax for a while in the midst of playing.
How fortunate for her, there's even small sound booths for her to just sing and not bother others while she does it.
Ariana goes to where the guitars are, running her hands over the strings down the line, trying to pick the right one -
Her hand suddenly brushed someone's hand, who was always scrolling for a guitar as well, and the two immediately pulled their hand back.
"Sorry-" Ariana stops midsentence as she looks up, to her surprise rather than horror, seeing Karma standing right in front of her.
This was.... Unexpected....
He also seemed just as surprise as she was, but he was quicker to hide it, replacing his expression with a frown, "I seriously have to see you everywhere now?"
Ariana blinks at him, still not believing she managed to bump into him, out of all people, and then she looks around to the guitars and back to him, "I didn't know you were here."
"Don't worry, I won't be in your way," He snarls annoyedly, grabbing one of the guitars, "Carry on," And he leaves.
Ariana watches as Karma approaches a small table alone, right by the corner of the cafe next to a large window. She watches as he fishes for a pick in his pocket and leans back against the chair, immediately sounding the guitar of its tune before softly strumming it.
So he's a musician too?
Hm....
This could be Ariana's chance.
To provoke him.
To get under his skin.
This is where her plan could start to unfold.
Even though she came for her own temporary relief, this is a rare opportunity that they ever have to be alone.
She can never forget what that man did to Taehyung, and it won't stop.
Ariana eyed him carefully before ignoring the guitars and approaches the red-haired demon. He didn't seem to have noticed her, not until Ariana sat down on the chair to the opposite side of the table.
The man sure didn't like that.
Karma stops strumming the guitar and glares at her, "Can I fucking help you?"
"It's funny that you said that the next time we're alone, I wouldn't be so lucky," Ariana remarks, smiling falsely, "You sure love to bluff."
This would be a moment where Karma would act on his impulses and rage, and no doubt that it's being screamed behind his eyes, but the second his hand twitches on the guitar, it's as though it zoned him back.
And he relaxes against the chair.
Tamed.
So, he can be tamed.
A guitar calms him down.
"I'm not in the mood for your bullshit right now," Karma retorts, going back to looking outside and strumming the guitar, "I have enough in my head as it is."
Oh?
Ariana furrows her eyebrows just slightly, taken back by his slight confession, and eyed the way his fingers moved on the guitar. It's heavy and low, slow and almost whining in a way. It's as though he's speaking his feeling through the guitar.
Even without words, the melody is heavy.
Ariana felt it, sure tugged a sensitive nerve to the thoughts that came to her head.
Guess they both friend a relief through music.
"You sure lack any joy, that's for sure," Ariana mumbles, seeing Karma not at all being bothered by her attempts, "All you need is some lyrics."
Karma rolls his eyes, still playing the heavy melody.
Ariana listens to the music with eyes closed, trying to find words that could flow with it, and lowly sings, "I'm so into you, I can barely breathe. And all I wanna do is to fall in deep -"
Karma snaps his eyes to her, but he didn't stop. Ariana hesitated to continue, since her singing is quite a soft spot for her. Singing is her treasure, and it will make her feel very insecure if someone starts to bash it to ruin her confidence. But, to her surprise, reluctantly Karma sent her a slow nod - just barely visible. Ariana knows that if she questions it, he will completely disregard it, so she continued.
"But close ain't close enough, until we cross the line. So name a game to play, and I'll roll the dice," She continues to sing quietly, but then she tilts her head to the side, "Dun dun dun - Hmmm, can you play a little tight but faster pace?"
Quietly Karma follows her direction, but it still didn't sound like how Ariana envisioned it. She asked for the guitar, and Karma hands it to her. He was eyes were so focused as Ariana tries different tunes and notes, just before she plays the beat that was in her head.
Karma engraved the notes on his head, just as Ariana hands the guitar back to him, and he reflected the notes back perfectly, making Ariana smile.
"Oh baby, look what you started. The temperature's rising in here, is this going to happen? Been waiting and waiting for you to make a move. Before I make a move," Ariana pauses, just as Karma kept playing but he stops when Ariana did, the lyrics sinking in between them, and he looks at her.
Their gazes melted right into each other, and Ariana felt her heart skipping a beat in her chest to the way Karma looks between her eyes with such an intense gaze, right before glancing down to her lips. A slow gulp glides down her throat, eyes flickering to the way Karma tightens his grip on the guitar.
The air felt thick and tense, and Ariana hated how uncomfortable it was growing with tension.
It was driving her on edge.
Her eyes couldn't help from studying Karma right back - from his vibrant red hair pushed back by a black bandana, the black t-shirt under a black leather jacket and skinny jeans. He sits with such confidence and that expression on his face..... An expression of an undeniable strength - both inner and outer.
But his eyes.... His eyes being a simple glimmer of brown, yet they can pull anyone in.
Anyone to his empty thoughts.
Filling anything anyone with intrigue.
He's the type of man any girl would claim that they could fix him.
He's unfixable.
And that alone is a little.... Thrill.
Ariana edges back against the chair, just as Karma leans over the table, arms crossed as he eyed her, shamelessly staring at her as though he's breathing her in before focusing only on her eyes.
When her eyes drifted to his lips, that's tugging in his mouth slowly, Ariana knew she had to leave.
She saw too much.
Ariana stands up, her cheeks feverishly hot as she looks around nervously to avoid looking at him, "I'm leaving."
She didn't even turn around as she walked away, her heart racing in her chest with her stomach fluttering uncontrollably.
This is a problem.
This is a big, big problem.
But no, she's not weak.
She's not going to fall for it.
He's a monster.
A demon.
Someone with no heart.
Oh, but how good did it feel, even if she denies it with her whole chest.

Alibi - Sevdaliza, Pabllo Vittar & Yseult
It's been a while since Becky has been in traces with a chase.
That was a life of the past, not something she dwells into so deeply in the present, but that's just her incredible skill.
There's no one in this world who is capable of hiding once she sets her mind in searching for someone.
And she always seeks perfectly.
That's how she's drinking her wine glass as she looks at Eden's mother's profile from her computer, eyebrows knitted together - fixated.
Wondering.
Why would she disappear? She had three sons, with an abusive husband, so it doesn't make sense as to why would she leave them behind?
Well, the answer probably lies to her situation, as to why she's at a mental asylum now instead of roaming freely all on her own. Initially incarcerated for attempting to murder her husband, classified insanity in the court system, and has been in this asylum since then.
Where that monster sent her.
Even if her husband is in prison for what he has done, reality doesn't erase of how she tried to assassinate him in his sleep.
She doesn't talk, based on her record, gone completely mute.
Well, for now.
Becky sips her wine slowly, sinking this information in. No wonder that whole family is psychotic, even their parents were insane.
The triplets never showed any signs of psychopathy, besides Karma on his record, Eden and Taehyung are clean.
And yet.... Why is Karma so terrified of Eden?
And why is Eden so cautious of Taehyung?
Their roles they play in each other's life is interesting, makes anyone intrigued how it'd be like if they were all in a room together again.
So far, Eden holds the authority.
Everyone is terrified of him, and for a good reason.
He's manipulative, and sarcastic, he knows how to play his words to make it seem like an innocent request when in reality it's a long term stab waiting to happen.
He's very intelligent, sneaky, and charming.
Karma is aggressive, explosive, and rebellious.
With him there's no guessing games, he's exactly as he appears to be. He doesn't do playing with his food before he eats, he dives into the throat - where it hurts - and has no mercy to going grave lengths into getting what he wants.
Now Taehyung.... Is a mystery. He's reserved, calm and tender. He only seems like a kid with a lot on his shoulders, just trying to move through life.
Perhaps there's more than meets the eye, but it seems like that's a mystery the siblings are keeping stored deeply in their relationship.
Even if they hate each other, they protect each other from others potentially being involved.
Interesting.
Becky's ears suddenly perked when her phone suddenly rings, see Eden's name on her lock screen as he calls her.
For the 50th time today.
He sure doesn't like to be rejected.
Abandonment issues?
Becky grimaces, deciding in giving him the benefit of a doubt and answers, "Sorry, I don't understand French -"
"As if there will ever be a barrier between us, my rose."
He spoke in Spanish.
A fluent and fluid Spanish.
Oh, he just became hotter with that deep husk in his voice.
It's deeper than Taehyung's gentle voice.
It's sounds like a heavy violin in a rainy day, dancing along the wind in a cursive melody.
A rich and vintage voice.
Becky fights back a smirk, kicking her feet a little, "I warned you that I'd stop talking to you."
"But I didn't say I'd stop talking to you," Oh, Becky is swooning, "Your voice is so beautiful. Keep talking please."
"You're a charmer through voice call, I'll admit that," Becky purrs, tapping her fingers on the keyboard, "How unfortunate that I don't fall for playboys."
"As if I'd ever play your precious heart?"
"But you did with thirteen different girls in the past though," Becky whistles lowly, seeing Eden's history of his past relationships, "Man.... Such a womanizer. I thought Mateo was bad. I'm out of luck finding a decent man."
"Ah yes, my past precedes me, but I'll be anything you want me to be now moving forward my love," He's good, "I'll be a changed man for you."
Yeah, not the first time Becky has heard that before.
"Right, right, well we know the real motive behind this. You don't want me, you want to know where your mother is."
Eden chuckles lowly, a sound that traveled all the way through the phone and down Becky's spine, "That'll come along, I want to make a new deal in exchange for the whereabouts of my mother."
There it is.
Glad we got to the point.
"I'm listening lover boy."
"As a trade for my mother's location, I will tell you everything you need to know about Theo," Becky's attention perks up, "Especially as to why he's our favorite brother."
Everything...
Everything that there needs to be known about Taehyung....
The big mystery behind his persona.
That'd answer so many questions, and solve a lot of problems.
If Becky knows this, perhaps she'll know a way for Tae and Karma to get along.
And understand the root of the problem before it becomes everyone's problem.
Becky hums, twirling her wine, "You're using my curiosity, that's clever."
"I'm known for that," Eden drawls playfully, "But, before we settle that information, I'd like one tiny thing."
There's more?
"Okay?"
"I would like to discuss this through dinner," Becky's heart dropped, "I want to see you, and talk to you face to face."
Becky heart is skipping so many beats, the goofiest smile on her lips because she's becoming that whipped, but of course, her voice doesn't show it, "The only possibility to do that would be through facetime or something - "
"No need, I bought you a ticket to South Korea," Becky's eyes widen, "You have two weeks to inform your school about your absence due to a family emergency, I emailed you the document that you'll show to them. You'll go to Korea, but you won't tell anyone I'm arriving. I do need to attend to my brothers after all and I don't need an audience."
Becky cannot believe what she is hearing right now.
Is this man insane?!
To go to Korea again, and a man - who she has not met in person - buying her ticket to go.
And for what?
For a simple dinner?
No, there's more to this.
Becky isn't naive.
This is too easy.
He can't be that whipped.
Becky perks a slow chuckle, shaking her head to herself, "I don't understand your obsession with me and getting dinner. You know, you should ask a lady first if she would want to make a drastic decision."
"So you don't want to go to Korea again to see your friends and Ariana?"
Well......
When he makes it sound like that -
"I don't know you, what if you kidnap me or something," Becky narrows her eyes, despite not being able to see him, "Or what if you try to kill me?"
"Call your friends to pick you up at the airport," Eden instructions, the confidence and reassurance so genuine in his tone, "When we go for our dinner, keep your location on and give it to Jeongguk - he's reliable. You won't tell him where you're going, but if you need him, he'll rush quickly to get you. As a matter of fact, let him be the one to drop you off, in that way he's in the area. All for your comfort, my queen."
Okay, he's making this sound too easy.
Why is this too easy?
Why Jeongguk too?! He's such a softie?!
"I just don't understand you," Becky finally admits, "Why do you want to see me so badly?"
The other line is quiet for a long time, and Becky thought he hanged up for a second, but suddenly Eden sighs, "I've been named as insane for so many years. To not have a sentimental bone in my body. As a matter of fact, not too long ago, Karma said I'm incapable of feeling love," He says slowly, not a single care projecting his voice, "I began to believe it, until I met you. You bring out these feelings out of me that I don't understand it. I want to figure it out, and by that, I need to see you because I'm becoming obsessed."
Damn...
They got deep real quick.
Well then....
All through without seeing each other once.
Becky frowns, "It's probably just an attraction, we never even met in person. Perhaps I'm the rare case where I don't try to give you mercy."
This had Eden chuckling, "Yeah, perhaps you're right," He whispers, "I won't know what these feelings are until I meet you. And I won't stop, not until you tell me to."
"You sure fall quick, we barely had a good conversation and I threaten you all the time."
"Guilty pleasure?" Now Becky smiles back, "I want to know more about you. Not through a call, I want to see you express yourself. So, please, go to South Korea. I'll handle my siblings and you can see your friends a little more because I know they need your energy now, and then we can meet once we sorted that out."
"And after we had dinner? Then what?"
If Becky can visualize it, she can imagine a slow smirk sliding his lips, "You can go home with your friends. We don't need to do anything more, unless..... You desire for it."
"Don't threat me with a good time," Becky snickers back, "What if what you feel now isn't the same when we meet? Could be a temporary obsession, you know?
"I don't believe that to be the case," He murmurs, sounding so sure of himself, "I like your voice, the way you speak. I can hear you talk all day. I'd been delighted to be in your presence."
No wonder those thirteen different girls were obsessed over him, he's such a charmer.
"What if I become your 14th girl to become psychotically obsessed with you?"
"Then it'd be a great privilege to be pursued by a woman with a divine beauty such as yours," Becky's eyes rolled back, "My Queen."
Ok, time to pack up to go to South Korea.
She's convinced enough.
She'll see her friends, and have a good dinner, and maybe good dick.
Not a bad deal.
"I'll see you in South Korea then."
Eden sighs in relief, no doubt a smile on his lips, "Looking forward to it."
