Chapter one, Vision

Deep in the woods of Forks lived a strange family, all pale with unnatural eyes. Humans often stare captivated by their beauty and flawlessness. Most even wondered how this family was so perfect however hunters were often so captivating. It's nature.

The Cullen coven or family as they consider themselves, contained 7 individuals, each coming from a different timeline. All are very different in personality and background, but somehow a family stronger than DNA.

An all-American family who enjoyed a fun day of baseball, except their version of fun is playing during a lightning storm. This would be considered a stupid idea if they were human but this family can't exactly die. So why not?

The Cullen's were all currently playing an intense but interesting game of baseball. It is after all their favorite sport to play, especially because everyone except Esme is very competitive.

Alice was currently pitching and was about to throw the ball when she was pulled into a vision. A vision she'd been waiting for since the day she met Edward. 

Everyone stopped playing as soon as they saw Alice stuck in a frozen-like stand. They all rushed to stand around her, waiting patiently. All curious to what she's seeing. Edward bring the one only able to see, looked at her intensely while the others stood wondering what it could possibly be.

A beautiful blonde was laying in a field surrounded by many pretty flowers, with her eyes closed. A smiling Edward Cullen laying next to her, looking at her with nothing but love and admiration in his beautiful gold eyes.

"I love you, Sunshine." He whispers, making the blonde smile. She opens her emerald green eyes slowly to see Edward sitting up holding her hand. She does the same and leads closer to him.

"I love you, moonshine." The blonde says wrapping her arms around his neck. Edward smiles wrapping his arms around her waist, kissing her neck softly.

Alice gasps unsure of what she just saw, her gaze immediately lands on Edward who is already staring at her in horror.

Stock fills his body as soon as the beautiful blonde opens her eyes, realization hitting him in the face. This girl he claims to love is human, an innocent fragile human. A hunter's prey.

The family watches the interaction getting more worried as each second passes. Edward angrily shakes his head before speeding away before anyone can mumble a word.

"Alice, what has happened?" Carlisle asks his daughter softly wondering what has upset Edward.

Alice still a bit stunned, looks at him and says unsure, "It seems like Edward will meet his mate soon?"

Rosalie stares at her, needing more of an explanation "Soon as in a couple of years or soon as in a couple centuries."

Alice shrugs again unsure, her vision was never good at pointing out years or dates. Some weren't even set in stone, however this one felt strange.

"Was she like ugly or something? Did you see Edward's face?" Emmett says trying to cheer up his family since they all looked very serious.

Alice thought for a second, did she really want to start drama when it was a possibility that this human would most likely show up in a couple of decades? Especially with Rosalie and Jasper.

"I think Edward was just stocked, you know how he thinks," Alice says implying how Edward has always believed he would be alone in this world.

Esme sighed sadly understanding what Alice meant, "Poor Edward, I think it would be most not to talk about this until she shows up."

"Wait so I can't tease him? That doesn't sound fair." Emmett says sadly because Esme glares at him. He continued, "What if it's just in my head?"

Rosalie elbows him gently in the ribs, "Emmett, let's be considerate. For all we know, this mate will probably show up in 50 years. Maybe she isn't born yet or is still human. That's still a long time to be alone."

Carlisle and Esme share a sad look, everyone knew they have a soft spot for their first son. Edward made them parents in a way and they've been with him the longest.

Jasper gently wraps his arm around Alice trying to provide some comfort. Alice leads her head on his shoulder, "Let's not discuss this until he finds her, agreed?"

Everyone agrees, all hoping this mate shows up soon. However, they all thought she was a vampire and Alice knew Edward didn't want them to know. Knowing her brother, Edward was going to fight her off until he couldn't.

But one thing was certain, the time they will meet her is undetermined. However Alice Cullen was hoping it would be very soon.
