Lia gazed over at her sleeping husband and got out of bed. She pulled out a piece of paper and began to write a him a note.

Monte,

I love you and I always will, but there is something I must tell you. I have met someone who says he can heal my cancer, but to do so, I must go away for a while. I don't know if I'll even be able to return, but I do know one thing. I'm not ready to die yet. I only have until December 6th. That is the deadline. It's already December 1st and I can't waste any more time. I'm going to go find this person who will heal me and then I will return to you some way. I have no intention of dying on you. Thank you for everything.

She folded the piece of paper and place it on the nightstand beside him. She went over to the door and held her necklace close to her heart and then let go of it. She got dressed for the chilly night weather and started running once she was out the door.

This is so crazy. I'm actually running away to find this alien. For all I know, this could all be a trap and he's really just wants to abduct me to conduct experiments on me. I am dying so it wouldn't matter if I were to go missing one day.

She stopped in her tracks to catch her breath and all her memories came flowing right into her.

What? Why am I remember all of that now? Am I not ready to do this? No! I can't think like this. I have to find him. Even if he's only interested in experimenting on me, it doesn't matter. If I stay here, I'll really die. What if he really can heal my cancer. That is some hope in this and I will risk everything to find that hope.

She started running across town again but was stopped by two drunk men.

"Hey baby," the first guy said. "What's a pretty girl like you doing out here so late?"

Her heart was already beating fast and sweat started to pour down her like crazy. Lia knew exactly what these two men wanted with her.

"I'm married." Those were the first words that popped into her head, but she knew they wouldn't be of any use.

"We don't care if you're married or not," the second guy said. "We just want one thing from you and we're going to get it."

Lia froze in fear and her eyes wailed up with tears.

Help! Someone, please help me! Monte!

The first guy pulled a knife on her, held it against her neck and they both pushed her down to the ground.

"No please," Lia cried. "I have cancer and it's far too cold to be doing this out here."

"Listen here hot stuff," the second guy said. "When I'm finished with you, you'll be begging for more and you'll forget all about your little cancer." He looked over to his buddy. "Hold her down."

"Sure thing."

The second guy pushed her down, resulting in a small scream from Lia. Her arms were held down and she was still struggling to break free from these two men. The second guy pulled her pants down and reached for her.

"Stop," Lia yelled. "Please! I beg you!"

Lia was saved when someone pushed that guy off her at the speed of light. No one could sense or even see what had just happened. She quickly pulled up her pants and attempted to run away but saw a man with long black hair down to his waist. The man turned around and revealed to Lia that it was Kazuki Komatsuzaki, who made it just in time.

"Kazuki," Lia said, as she was so happy to see him.

He smiled at her and she felt at ease now that he was here. She stuck around to see how he would handle the situation.

"Two armed men attacking this poor defenseless young woman," he spoke. "You humans never fail to disgust me with your actions." He saw the man holding the knife was unable to speak or move a muscle. "Oh. You feel how powerful I really am. You should know that I'm not human and that I'm an alien." He touched him on the shoulder. "You should be able to move now."

"Dammit! Who the hell are you?"

"Didn't I already tell you? I'm an alien."

"I don't care what you are! I said who the hell are you?"

"Kazuki Komatsuzaki and I'm going to make you pay for what you've done."

"Oh wise guy, huh!" He pointed his knife at him. "We'll see if you can still say that after I kill you right here!"

He charged for Kazuki and Lia eyes filled with fear as she watched the man that saved her get attacked.

"Kazuki!"

Lia was so afraid. Kazuki really got stabbed. The man who came to save her and was going to heal her cancer was going to bleed to death right in front of her and those two men will finish what they started with her. Then, as she looked closer. She could see that Kazuki was unharmed and there was a shocked expression on the attacker's face.

"What," she thought. "He's unharmed."

"What was that," Kazuki mocked. He grabbed the man's hand which revealed a bent up knife. "That was just stupid. Did you not hear that I was not human but an alien. Your knife can't cut me. Your weapon is completely useless. Did you know at my home planet we have special swords for battle meant to cut other aliens? It's because a normal blade can't cut us. We have iron skin so that is why your little knife can't touch me. Unfortunately, I don't have my sword here but I don't need it. You two are weak and won't be able to get my heart racing."

He's just like an Espada

"But, since you did attack that woman and then challenged me to a fight to the death, it would be rude to not fight you now wouldn't it."

"Shut up," the man yelled. He threw a punch at Kazuki, which was easily caught by him.

"I thought I told you, your attacks can't reach me. Everything you throw at me is useless."

"Try saying that to this!"

He pulled out a gun on him and began to shoot but there was still no effect on Kazuki.

"Enough!" Kazuki went up to him, took the gun away from him and threw it far out of his reach. Then he pushed him, the attacker went sliding on the ground until he hit a wall. Kazuki appeared right before him. He was so fast, Lia's eye couldn't keep up with him.

"You're really an alien," the man said. "When you leave, I'll just report you and then the scientists will experiment on you and your existence will finally be confirmed." The man struggled to stand up. " It's funny though. I thought you'd be ugly but you look just like a human."

"Oh?" A smirk crossed Kazuki's face. "Now that you mention that, you should see my true form."

Lia was trying her best to watch the fight but her body couldn't hold up. She fell to her knees and started breathing heavily and then collapsed.

Kazuki's eyes turned completely black and the wind picked up, blowing his long black hair.

"Behold! My true form!"

The blue light formed around Kazuki, his skin turned green, he now had a bald head instead of long black hair, his teeth have turned to fangs and his nails have gotten sharper than most humans.

"What the hell," the man stuttered. "It's beyond any fear ever felt."

"This is what aliens of my kind really look like. You should know something very important about my kind. The purpose of the human disguise is so we can control our power. It keeps most of it sealed away so it's not uncontrollable being released from us."

The man froze and said no more to him and Kazuki let out a sigh.

"Since this is your last night alive, I thought it you should be able to see it before you die." He punched a hole right through the man's chest. "Ignacio Kulwana. You cannot defeat me. You, humans, are far too weak to go up against an alien."

"How did you...?" The man collapsed to the ground.

"If you can still move in that condition, I suggest that you turn yourselves in. If you can't, then die there. Either way, your crimes end here."

Kazuki reverted back to his disguised form with his eyes being the last to turn back to his purple colour. He turned around to Lia who had already collapsed to the ground. He grabbed out his phone and dialed 911.

"Yes hello? I have two men who have collapsed when they attempted rape. Yes? Okay. Bye."

Then he went over to Lia and picked her up from the ground.

"I'm glad you didn't have to see me like that at the end. It would have frightened you."

Snowflakes began to fall from the sky and Kazuki admired its beauty. It amazed him as this was his first time seeing snow. Then he looked back at Lia and held her close to him.

"It's your family that you're going to miss, isn't it. Don't worry. Spend your last few days with them. Remember. You have a few days left. Spend it with your loved ones and then you can come with me. Do you want me to abduct you? I can understand how you're feeling right now. If that's what you want. I can do that for you. First, spend your last few days with your family. Then I will come for you."

He started to carry her to the hospital and got her checked into a room. He watched over her while she slept.

"I promise I will come back for you. I will save you."

Then he disappeared into the night.
