Chapter 2
In another world in a vessel in the shape of a circle. A spacecraft headed towards the planet Earth with a private mission only the two in the craft were aware of.
"Komatsuzaki," the captain of the ship pestered. "Are we seriously going to abduct a human?"
"Yes."
The captain of the ship sighed and Komatsuzaki gave him a cold stare. "I don't see what the point of doing this," he complained. "What is with you these days and what's with your sudden interest in humans? I really can't see anything interesting about them."
"I don't recall asking for your opinion on this," Komatsuzaki stated.
The captain was lost for words, he took in a deep breath and he began to speak again. "Well, sir. It's just that we shouldn't be sneaking around. What if one of the districts Masters found out or worse! The King himself."
Komatsuzaki just chuckled at the Captain's worry. "You don't need to worry about that. No one will find out."
"How can you be certain of that?"
"If it comes down to anything dangerous. I'll protect you. Besides, I'm the one who got you involved in this."
"But, what if you can't?"
Komatsuzaki just sighed in disappointment. "You don't know who I really am, do you?"
The Captain looked down and decided to change the subject. "Why is this so important for you?" Then a possible answer popped into his head. "Don't tell me you've been soul marked?"
Komatsuzaki let out a small surprised gasp but then returned to a stern expression on his face. "It's nothing like that. I can assure you that part of this mission is to just bring back a human to our world. One that is close to death who could possibly be brought back from the dead."
The Captain's eyes lit up. "That sounds so cool. I would really like to show someone who is not just another Alien our world and on top of that, we get to experience their world."
"You are not to step foot into the human world. You must stay with the ship."
"What," he said disappointedly. "Why can't I? I want to help with this abduction!"
"For one, you cannot even use a human disguise. Until you've mastered that, you will not be able to step foot into the human world. Also if you were to do so now, you would just create an uproar among the humans with your green skin and completely black eyes. They would know you're different. Also, this is not just an abduction. Don't call it that."
"Sorry...but you're not in human form right now," he complained.
"I see."
A blue light formed around Komatsuzaki and his green alien form changed into a human form with a fair skin tone, long black hair that almost reaches his waist and purple eyes.
"I will find a human who is worthy to come back with us. Make no mistake about that."
Then he walked away from the captain of the ship.
"And that human will be the person who he's soul marked with," he said to himself quietly and giggled.

Lia heard a knock on the door who happened to be her younger sister. The two look quite alike, they both are quite short and slender. Her sister has shoulder length brown hair and big blue eyes. Lia was very happy to see her.
"Good morning Silvia," she said with a smile. "What brings you here so early?"
"Good morning!" She started to look around the apartment. "Is Monte home?"
"No, he had to go into work early today."
"Alright," she screamed and grabbed Lia's arm. "You're coming to the cafe with me!"
"Silvia! I..."
"Oh come on," she cut Lia off. "I have an hour before I have school. So you're coming to get coffee at the cafe with me! We haven't spent much time together these days. Now hurry up and get your coat on! I want to spend time with my sister without that husband."
"Hey! What's wrong with Monte?"
"Oh, nothing except for the fact he get's overly jealous whenever I want to have you to myself."
"Oh, come on. It's not like that."
"Really? Can you prove it?"
Lia was lost for words but knew there was some truth behind what Silvia was saying. Monte was overly protective of her whenever she wanted to be alone with other people. She knew Silvia wasn't going to take no for an answer and it was useless to argue with her when her sister wanted to spend time with her. It wasn't good to stay cooped up inside and that this would be a good opportunity to get some fresh air.
Lia got herself ready and they girls headed to the cafe with Silvia chatting non-stop the entire walk there. They ordered their drinks and found a table to sit down at.
"So," Lia began. "You're finally graduating this year."
"Finally! Five years of high school has been torture! I mean honestly, why do we have to take five years of high school here? It's torture!"
Lia gave her sister a soft smile. "Hey, it's almost over. You just got to push through it. It's true that the Italian school system is a little unfair compared to America." She paused. "What do you think you'll do after you graduate?"
"Well..." She paused and started thinking about what she wanted to do. "I've been considering teaching Italian as a foreign language in different countries."
"What!" Lia got so excited that she pretty much jumped out of her seat. "That's amazing! How long have you been considering that?"
"I just thought about it all last year but I haven't told anyone about it. You're the first person. It's just, I don't think Mom and Dad would let me do something like that."
Lia sat back down and calmed down. "Silvia, you can't let something like that stop you."
Silvia's eyes were filled with amazement. "Really! You think so Lia!"
"Yes. You must do what your heart tells you and you can't let anyone stop you. It's something I wish I did when I was younger. Don't get tied down or pulled back by people."
"Thank you so much!"
"By the way, which countries are you interested in?"
"Oh! Japan! Australia! America! Canada! There's too many that I'm interested in!"
"Japan! Really?" Lia then realized why she would choose Japan. "Oh, is it because of all the anime you're into?"
"What! That's not true and besides, you're into anime just as much as me!"
Lia took a sip of her coffee. "You are right about that. Which series do you have on the go?"
"I'm currently watching Bleach! I took your advice and finally started to watch it and you were right, it really is so good!"
Lia got excited when she heard that Silvia started to watch Bleach. "I told you! Which episode are you on?"
"139. You should come over tonight and watch Bleach with me and," Silvia's voice trailed off. "You can bring Monte too."
"That sounds nice. I'll be there."
They heard the doors open and saw a man enter the cafe with long black hair that goes down to his waist, white hakama pants, purple kimono and a purple haori.
"Speaking of Bleach," Silvia began. "Doesn't he look like Byakuya Kuchiki?"
Lia looked over at the man who just walked in. "You're right. He really does."
The moment that man walked right by their table, both of the girls could feel how powerful he was. It paralyzed them both for a second.
"Anyway," Silvia said as she got up from her seat. "I have to head off to class now. See you tonight."
The girls waved each other goodbye and Lia went back to sipping her coffee.
What was that? For a second I couldn't move my arms and legs. Just who and what is he?
Lia started to cough uncontrollably. It was so powerful in her chest, that she couldn't stop it. She reached for a nearby napkin and coughed into it. She felt something escape her mouth and once the coughing subsided. The napkin revealed that she has now started to cough up blood.
"Is this seat taken," the purple eyed man asked.
Lia wanted to respond but her entire being was completely paralyzed. His very presence was enough to make unresponsive.
"I see. So you can feel my power." He walked over to her and lightly touched her shoulder. "You'll be able to move now."
Lia found that she was no longer paralyzed and could finally move around. She wasn't sure what to do but, she knew this man standing before her was no ordinary human and that he was something different.
He took a seat at her table. "Lia Amato, I can see that you're married to Monte Amato."
Lia's eyes went so wide in shock. How does he know my name,? Is he some kind of stalker?"
She took in a deep breath. "Who are you," she demanded.
"I have a little information I would like to give you," he explained. "But first, I would like to know if you believe in Aliens?"
"Pardon me?" The man didn't say anything. "Aliens. You mean those green skinned guys that fly around in UFO's?"
"Yes."
Lia laid back in her seat. "No. I don't believe in things like that."
"What if I told you that I'm an Alien?"
Lia gave him a funny look but then she remembered the night she found out she had cancer and that flying object she saw. She wasn't sure if she should trust this guy. He could have seen that UFO as well that night and is trying to make her believe something that isn't real. She decided to test him.
"If you're what you say you are. Then can you prove it."
"Well, you've already sensed it yourself the moment I walked by you. You felt my power. As an alien, I can have seen information displayed right above you like your name, your lifespan, etc."
"That's how you knew my name. Then could you tell me my remaining life span."
"Sure it's displayed right above your head right now. It says you are struggling with stage four cancer and you will lose the battle in thirteen days, seventeen hours, twenty-three minutes and forty- three, forty-two, forty-one seconds. You get the point."
Lia then felt fear. The time remaining was very close to how long the doctor estimated how much longer she would live. The only person who knew that she had cancer was her husband. Not even her family knew about this.
She wanted to get up and bolt out the door but, this alien made her very curious to what they were like. She even felt like this guy wouldn't do anything to hurt her.
"Do you always see people's information displayed?"
"No. You see, we aliens can control that." He closed his eyes and opened them back up. "Now I can see you just like any other human would." He paused. "It's not exactly in my nature to make small talk, I'll get straight to the point. I want you to come with me back to my home planet."
Lia was lost for words. What he had spoken was the truth. His eyes had a glow to them but now they were just normal eyes, except for the fact that his eyes were purple. They weren't human eyes and it was one of the features that Lia noticed about him that didn't make him human. She liked the looks of them and even thought that they made him look quite attractive.
She wasn't sure why this alien would want to take someone like her back to his home planet, especially when she was dying so quickly. She then realized that she was acting so calm around him. She always thought that if she were to meet an alien, she would be very afraid. There was something about him that made her at ease like she could trust this guy.
"Tell you what, what if I told you I could heal your cancer?"
Lia's eyes lit up, this man sitting at her table gave her a new hope of living when everything has turned to despair.
"Could you really do that? I would like that very much!" She realized what that would mean if he did so, she would still have to leave this world behind which saddened her. "I'm just not sure what to do right now."
"I'll give you time to think this over." He walked over behind her and put a necklace on her. "In the meantime, I would like you to wear this."
The necklace he put on her had an amethyst gemstone with a gold chain.
"What is this," Lia asked.
"That is a very powerful pendant from my planet. It was made to protect those who are weak. Eventually, you will learn to use its power."
"Will this heal my cancer?"
"Not quite but it will protect you. In time you will understand. Until then, I will give you time to think over the offer. You only have thirteen days left. That will be the deadline."
He got up and started to walk away. "Wait," Lia called after him. "I don't know your name."
He stopped in his tracks. "Kazuki Komatsuzaki. And I promise I will save you." Then he was gone and Lia was all by herself in the cafe.
Lia was then left with her minded clouded with thoughts of what she should do. Leaving behind the people she loves will not be easy. She wondered what would they think if she suddenly disappeared with no trace of her body? The choice won't be easy for her. She was left with the hardest decision she had to make.
