*been awhile besties how y'all?

Fall came around a lot faster than Y/n had expected. The leaves changing color and the days getting shorter and colder. The wind blew against her face as she shoved her hands inside her pockets. Her eyes scanning around the city as people passed her. It was strange to Y/n how much time had passed. It had been a year and two months since she found Namjoon or more better yet, him finding her in her small book store. Then having to adopt two more hybrids and even finding her younger brother. So much had happen it was crazy to think about. But one thing that truly lingered in her head was why was her father so quiet?

It left her uneasy each day. She didn't even had a plan yet. However, Hoseok was working around the clock to help her gather evidence and that was the best she got. That's how far she thought of. Y/n tiredly rubbed her face, her bag full of documents and pictures. Documents that should be enough to prove him guilty, that's if even a court would take her case.

For whatever reason, no court believed her. She needed witnesses. Now where is she going to find that? She's already tried using Taehyung but they don't credit him since he is technically under the guardianship of her father even though her mother was the one who adopted him, it was still under his name. That and him being a hybrid.

Her other two witnesses were no where to be found. She had no clue what happened to her mother nor her uncle. She knew as much as her mother being located somewhere away from her but she wasn't even aware of the location. Her uncle wasn't much better either, her father warned to kill him if he pulled anything. Her father probably is aware that he helped her to escaped.

There was also one other issue.

Her father apparently owned about three police stations by the looks of it. Hoseok and Yoongi meant it when they said they were going to help her. They were able to dig up lots of things about her father. For one, he owned, as far as they know, three police stations in Seoul. According to Hoseok's report, that's what keeps him from getting caught by the law since now it's technically illegal to sell hybrids or do hybrid trafficking. It's what kept him from running bankrupt and able to make a surplus of money without raising any suspicious. She was going to have to find a police department that wasn't corrupted by her father's hands.

The wind picked up, causing her to slightly wince before turning to look up at the big building in front of her. She was currently wearing a black turtleneck that was tucked in a mini skirt with a heart shaped belt. Underneath her skirt was sheer leggings. She had a black coat on and black ankle boots. Her brown bag around her shoulder. Her hair was in a low bun with a black ribbon holding onto it. She was heading to Hoseok's company again to see if he found anything. Namjoon and the other three hybrids had stayed home. Technically Namjoon was in charge of the younger three but in reality it was Taehyung making sure Namjoon didn't burn anything while she was away.

Y/n took out her phone and dialed Hoseok's number. She waited outside, having terrible memories inside she would rather stay outside because she knew for sure Shin still worked there. He somehow slipped in when her grandfather was sick. He gotten even more sick and was hanging by a thread yet Hoseok still had the brightest smile.

"Hello? Hobi?"

"Sunshine! Sorry sweets I can't speak with you today. I actually have a appointment with a lawyer who might be able to help us. Yoongi even did some background checks and found out the company he works for isn't a company your father owns. I meant to tell you but it completely slipped my mind!" Hoseok's voice sounded rushed, shuffling heard on the other side. Y/n plucker her lips in a pout, leaning against a wall.

"But Hobi! You could've told me earlier, now I'm out here in the cold."

"Don't guilt trip me, it just slipped my mind. Oh! You just reminded me of something. We actually can use Taehyung as a witness, if you bring the documents from the shelter where you adopted Jimin and Namjoon at."

"You mean where Woong works at?" Y/n swallowed.

"Yes. They can be reliable sources since they are trained to determine rather a person is good to adopted hybrids. Basically since your 19 now, you can have full custody over Taehyung just you do for Jimin and Namjoon. Your just need their signatures. They just need to investigate your background and such to see if you can. But since you already adopted from them before, you just need the paperwork. Since your mother didn't technically legally adopted Taehyung. He's only under your fathers name as a product not as adoption." Hoseok explained.

"So you want me to go back to the adoption center and discuss this with Woong since he and Lisa signed the papers?"

"Exactly!"

"Why can't you do it? You know him and I are in bad terms." Y/n whined, placing her hand on her forehead. She heard Hoseok let out a chuckle.

"That's your problem sweets. No one told you to cheat on him." Hoseok laughed, his laughter causing Y/n to frown.

"I didn't cheat on him! Well I mean technically I did but didn't? Look I didn't mean it in a you know bad way if anything it was more a coming to realization that I was in love with Namjoon, kinda of way."

"Hmm. That's why you waited nearly a month to break up with him right?" Hoseok hummed.

"Why must you taunt me? I already apologized to him and did it face to face instead of text. It's just it's kinda of weird now and he doesn't answer my calls whenever I call him to find out about Namjoon's health or Jimin's." Y/n sighed.

"I'm aware but you can't avoid him forever. He's just bitter. We need their signatures regardless if we even want to get this case going sweets. We've been at it for three months now and we're barely finding a trustworthy lawyer. So please, can you do this? Remember this ain't for us, it's for you and your hybrids." Y/n could hear his voice strain with desperation. He's most likely tired from all the searching he was doing, working like a dog for her to have some evidence the least she could do is help with this. Y/n bit back her sigh, her feet starting to walk back to her apartment.

"Alright. I'm going to do my own research as well since I know Yoongi can't always do it since he does have a job. I'll set up a meeting with Woong to get those signatures." Y/n said, placing her free hand in her pocket.

"Thank you sugar cube. I'll call you if we find anything."

"Ew sugarcube? No thanks Hobi try something else." Y/n teased.

"Alright alright. Seriously I have to go now cupcake, bye." Hoseok chuckled, Y/n could almost his lips pulled into a wide smile.

"Bye Hobi."

🐺🐺🐺🐺

Y/n sighed tiredly as she took off her shoes and stepped into her home. She hanged her coat ignoring the pitter patter of feet coming towards her.

"Mom!"

"Mom!"

"Noona!"

Y/n felt too many different pairs wrap around her figure making her giggle. She looked up to see Taehyung before looking a bit lower to find Jimin and finally down at Jungkook.

"Hello to you too. How are you guys?"

"Good!"

"Good mom!"

"Actually I'm tired and why is Namjoon so needy around you?"

Y/n giggled and wiggled herself free from their grasp. She patted down her skirt before walking to her room with three little ducklings following right behind her.

"To answer your question, I have no clue why Taehyung. Now Hoseok has said he might've found a good lawyer who's willing to help us so let's hope this is the one. While that's going on, I'm going to do more research about my bloodline or at least more information about my father. Also, where Joon?" Y/n asked, halting her steps.

"Oh he's in the room, I think he's searching too." Jimin said. It was then Y/n realized how tall Jimin was getting. Wasn't he her height just a couple of months ago? At this point Jimin has passed her by three inches. Wasn't the boy only ten?

"Jimin baby, how old are you?"

"I'm turning 11 in October, why mom?" Jimin tilted his head in confused, his ears flopping against his head. Y/n thinned her lips before shaking her head.

"Nothing baby. Anyways, Taehyung can you cook for my babies? I'm going to do a lot of work so I won't have time." Y/n asked. Taehyung beamed, nodding his head eagerly.

"Of course! I can finally show you all my cooking skills Seokjin Hyung taught me!" Taehyung didn't waste another minute and ran to the kitchen. Y/n giggled before facing her babies. Jungkook had already turned nine, his eyes innocent as ever.

"Why don't you and Jimin go watch TV hm?"

"But I wanna help mommy!"

"Oh I know baby, but it's a lot of work to do and your cute eyes won't stay open for that long with all that boring reading." Y/n cooed, her hand patting his hair. Jungkook pouted, knowing how right she was.

"How about this, I'll bake you a carrot cake tomorrow and make some blueberry muffins for Jimin? How does that sound?"

"Oh please say yes Jungkook!" Jimin whined, lightly shaking the poor child. Jungkook quickly nodded, licking his lips at the thought of her baking.

"Okay!"

"Good. Don't worry I'll be here in my room helping Joon, you guys go watch TV."

"Okay Mom!"

Y/n watched them scattered to the living room making her chuckle softly. She place her hand on her door knob and twisted open. Once she open the door she was met with Namjoon sitting on her desk, glasses on, papers and different books scattered on the desk. He was currently browsing through the computer with only a black fight shirt and baggy sweats. He was mumbling to himself as he read from the computer. His ear twitched at the sound of the door opening but didn't even flinch when she closed it.

Y/n walked towards him, leaning near his ears to get a better view at the screen. Her breath tickling his ears which now caught his attention and caused him to freeze.

"Oh? Your looking up your mothers name? I actually never thought of that. Maybe I should have Hoseok look into that as well since he has more access to records then we do." Y/n was scanning through the article he was reading. Namjoon looked up, his cheeks heating up. Y/n looked down at him, smiling. She pulled his hair back with her hands to kiss his forehead. His cheeks grew redder, his tail having a mind of its own and thumping against the chair.

"Did you just come home baby?"

"Yup! Turns out Hoseok had a meeting with a lawyer so he couldn't meet up with me." Y/n moved from him to reach over and grab a book from the desk. Namjoon watched her, his eyes scanning up and down at her figure.

"And you went in that?"

Y/n had open the book, scanning through the pages. She stopped her scanning to glance at him, his purple eyes flickering with jealousy.

"Baby, I was just seeing Hoseok and I'm allowed to dress the way I want." Y/n then glanced down back at the book, flipping through the pages.

"I know that just, isn't it too cold for that? Besides you know how many people would look up your skirt? Maybe jeans next time or joggers? Joggers are more comfortable anyways." Namjoon had a clear frown on his features while Y/n shut the book.

"Baby, I have leggings underneath. No need to be all protective. I survived my fathers mansion for four years and had everything taken from me. I know how to handle myself at times. Also this book only mentions the forest you grew up in. Apparently it's now a reserved wildlife sanctuary. Where was this ten years ago?" Y/n clicked her tongue before setting down the book to grab another.

"I know I read it. Look darling I know, I just can't help it. Half of me wants to trap you in here so no one could ever look at you but the other half knows that isn't right and ugh, just be careful okay darling?" Namjoon had lean back on the chair, his eyebrows furrowed in worry. Y/n leaned down to peck his lips catching him off guard, her lips brushed against his even as she pulled away from him.

"I will my love. No need to fret. You always worry about nothing." Y/n whispered against his lips before pulling back from him. She flashed a smile, then she went back to reading the book she had in her hands. Namjoon's peppered pink, blinking his eyes to make sure he wasn't dreaming.

"Hey now you can't just leave me hang-"

"Oh sh*t! Namjoon! This book is about a rabbit breed that lives in the mountains that you lived before!" Y/n quickly set down the book and pointed at the page.

"Oh sh*t, it is. You don't think it's Jungkook's, do you?" Namjoon asked.

"I don't know who knows. Do you even know his breed?"

"No. Not a clue. Rabbits are honestly harder to tell apart. I mean it looks like Jungkook I suppose?"

"But Jungkook isn't grey, he's brown. So maybe a different breed? Or maybe mix?" Y/n suggested. Namjoon place his chin on his palm.

"I suppose. The thing is mix breeds are so rare so I highly doubt it and he is a wild rabbit so I guess so? It's hard to tell. I'm not sure really."

"Mix breeds are uncommon? Really?" Y/n looked at Namjoon, wondering what he meant.

"Well yes since most species keep to their own. Also since there's many species and not just mammals it's just easier to keep in within your own species. I'm not gonna lie I'm a bit convinced Jimin a mix breed." Namjoon explained, giving zero thought in what he just said while Y/n gave a teasing smile.

"So what happen to you? Like the exotic type? Like moi?" Y/n giggled, pointing to herself. Namjoon playfully glared at Y/n before leaning back on his chair again.

"Very funny baby, no. You just won my heart by being nice which was something I rarely ever had. Besides why not? I mean human and hybrids are pretty rare so might as well have the thrill of everyone judging you." Namjoon shrugged. Y/n giggled again, kissing his cheek which caused him to flash his famous dimpled smile.

"I suppose so. Hope you don't fall out of love with me. That would suck since I'm hopelessly in love with you." Y/n sighed dramatically while Namjoon rolled his eyes.

"Yeah not happening darling. Wolves are loyal, so you better get used to me and be ready to marry me because I'm not leaving." Namjoon scoffed, facing the computer again. Y/n felt her cheeks and neck heat up. Her lips parted in shock.

"Y-you want to marry me?"

Namjoon tensed, his hands stopping from typing. He looked at her again, now his whole face turning red.

"I-I well, I mean, yes? No? I mean y-yes but only if your ready y-you know? I don't mind waiting, because I know it works d-differently for humans and such." Namjoon coughed out, scratching behind his neck his face beet red. Y/n couldn't help but giggle at his shyness, feeling as flustered as he was.

"How about we wait a little longer hm? It's better if we do that since we're still only 19 Joon. I know your ready but there's some stuff I still wanna do, would you wait for me?"

"Until the world ends if I need to." Namjoon mumbled, his face still red. Y/n felt butterflies rush through her stomach as she laughed, leaning her head against his shoulder.

"Sure love. Now look what I found in the book, there's records of a white wolf living in a village. That can actually be your mother. It states that she helps the villages with food and medicines. This book was written to show people how hybrids and humans can coexist without needing the hybrids on leashes!" Y/n was beaming, showing Namjoon the page was on. Namjoon scanned through the page his lips twitching into a smile.

"Wow. Yeah maybe. It states the white wolf moved there after an accident had occur at her old home. Wait this is really good Y/n!" Namjoon took the book from her and flipped through the pages.

"We could find your mother!" Y/n clapped her hands excitedly.

"Wait what about the case?"

"Don't worry about that! I'll take of that, you should look up how far the village is so you can check it out. This is really serious Joon you can't just miss up this opportunity!" Y/n was smiling wide while Namjoon lost his smile. He place the book down and rubbed behind his neck.

"What if-"

"What if what baby? Is something wrong?"

Namjoon sighed, crossing his arms over his chest in thought.

"I just, what if I have to go back to the way things were?"

Y/n now sat on the chair by him, furrowing her eyebrows.

"What do you mean baby?"

"The old ways. You know me being the alpha of a pack which I haven't seen in years, and being engaged to Jisoo. Technically speaking mother could be consider the leader of the pack and can command me until I'm wedded. What if she wants to go back to the old ways?" Namjoon asked. Y/n stiffen, leaning back on her chair. Her hands on her lap while she stuttered on her words, they were too caught up in her throat. She never thought about it in that way. Y/n glanced at Namjoon who looked lost.

"Maybe you can convince her otherwise. I mean your loyal to me right? If I deny you again you could actually literally die, so I'm a sense you need me. Your mother as cruel as it sounds, would have no choice to leave you here with me. Right?" Y/n now sounded unsure, biting her lip in thought.

"Perhaps, I mean my mother was never cruel or anything. You know that and I know that, I just I don't know I hope she doesn't. I left that pack to be with you since I know majority will disagree with my decision and they will take Jungkook away from me. Thank god you legally own him but still," Namjoon sighed, now placing his chin on his palm again.

"I don't know what to do. I feel so stuck."

"You and me both." Y/n sighed heavily, mindlessly grabbing a paper on the desk. Her eyes scanned the paper lazily. Her eyes then stopped on one sentence.

'WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE
KIM MINJI'

Y/n dropped the paper in shock, startling Namjoon. Y/n rose from her sit, grabbing the paper with both hands.

"Y/n?"

"What!? There's no way." Y/n whispered out, her eyes widening the more she looked at the picture. Namjoon also rose from his seat, glancing at the paper. He didn't see anything wrong it, just a wanted picture he found in one of the books about gangs which had no information about Y/n's family.

"Where did you find this?!" Y/n asked a bit too loud that made Namjoon jump again.

"It slipped out in a book about the most famous Mafias or whatever. It had mention your father but it so brief that I stopped reading it. Why? Do you know that woman?" Namjoon asked, pointing to the woman on the picture. She was stunning, and her lips in a perfect grin. It was like she knew the camera was aimed at her way.

"Know her!? Namjoon that's my mom!"

"What?"

"My mother's name was Kim Minji! This how she looked when she was younger!" Y/n pointed at the picture.

"Are you sure? Was your mother in a gang?" Namjoon asked now as shocked as her. Y/n placed her hand on her forehead, trying to grasp the fact her mother was on a wanted poster.

"N-not that I know. Actually now that I think about it, mother never mentioned her past at all." Y/n gaped.

"What did that book say about her?" Y/n turned her head to look at Namjoon. He quickly raised his hands in defense.

"I don't know I never got to that part. Like I said, it mentioned your father briefly which is why I picked it up. When I went to the library and used your father's name to narrow it down, that book appeared. But it was so brief I stopped reading it and moved on to the next." Namjoon explained. Y/n shoved the paper to him and began searching the desk for the book. Her shove was so strong it pushed the wolf on the bed. He grabbed the paper, looking down at the sheet. Y/n did in fact looked like her mother greatly. It was like Y/n took all her mother's genes but not a single thing from her father. How strange.

"Haha! Found it!" Y/n yelled then hastily searching through the pages. She found the page, stopping her rapid searching. Her eyes scanned the page as she read the words out aloud.

"Kim Minji, otherwise known as Jiu, was known as the leader for a mafia group called Dreamcatcher. It consists of seven members. They were a huge mafia group that rivaled with Aces. They each were walking nightmares and seem to be greatly feared despite being an all female group. They typically would be helping the people who would be wronged including hybrids. In fact four out of seven members were hybrids themselves. They were greatly feared for 12 years before Jiu vanished from the group without a trace. To this day even after a search warrant was issued, Jiu has yet to be found." Y/n looked at Namjoon in utter shock.

"My mother was in a gang. But what do they mean she vanished? And since when did my mother have another name she went by?! Also I'm seeing where I get the thing where I attract every single hybrid." Y/n snorted out. Namjoon stood up to glance at the book.

"Wait baby, there's more. Jiu had disappeared after a huge fight that happened between the Aces and Dreamcatcher. The reason was unknown, but many people had speculate that a romance had bloom between the two leaders that caused division. Aces were a known group who sell and trapped hybrids for experiments. Which is what caused fuel between the two groups." Namjoon read, furrowing his eyebrows.

"What? There's no way my mother would've fallen in love with someone who hated hybrids. If she was this huge leader to this huge group, why give it up for someone with different ideals that are completely against hers? Besides I know my mother was stronger than that." Y/n scoffed before looking down back on the page.

"Though the reason isn't clear, the rest of the members soon left the group after it crumbled without their leader. This was an end of an era where woman could've raised to power. Aces soon became more powerful after their rivaled group crashed. Aces had then changed into name to Lee Corporations. It has been rumored that the company is still around but many policemen deny this. How funny, my fathers company was also called-" Y/n stopped talking, her eyes going wide. She looked at Namjoon who looked as wide eyed as her.

"Please tell me I'm wrong." Y/n whined.

"I'm afraid not darling. That means your the reason that your mother left the group. I mean it's not bad but didn't you mention that you were an accident and that's why your father married your mother?" Namjoon asked. Y/n nodded with a sigh, turning the page to see if they had anymore information.

"Yes. But I'm starting to think that wasn't the case. I think my mother just told me that to spare me the truth. It must not be pretty if mother wanted to hide it. The book goes on and mentions about how wanted my mother was. She was consider the most evilest because she came up with all the plans and called the shots. She was even at one point called the 'Angel in disguise.' Wow I can't imagine my mother like that." Y/n laughed weakly, her eyes scanning through the pages.

"You don't think that your actually not your fathers?"

Y/n stopped her reading and looked up at Namjoon.

"What?"

"I'm just saying theoretically, what if that man who's after you, is actually now your father? Look I'm going by a long shot here, but when I read about the Aces, it mention one of the experiments they did besides on hybrids, was human cloning. And Y/n, you look like a exact replica of your mother. Look I could be wrong but what if that's the reason why your father hates you so much? What if there's more than what the books are saying?" Namjoon asked. Y/n stood there, baffled and puzzled.

"I-I mean maybe. We would need to ask the person for more information but I don't know where mother is and I'm not asking father, or if he is even my father. But that doesn't make sense, it was clear both my parents hated each other, why get married then?"

"That's something we have to find out from your mother. Look this actually can help us with the case, if we can bring evidence he was part of a gang back 20 years ago who not only illegally sell hybrids but also experiment on them, then we can shut down his company for good. We just need your mother and maybe even your uncle. He has to know something about this."

Y/n thinned her lips, holding the book close to her chest. This information felt heavy on her chest. There was things she was learning that she wasn't even aware of. She had more secrets than what she thought she had.

"Okay. But love, I don't know where they could be. They could be anywhere. I was separated from them at an early age. Father wouldn't tell me where they were. I was only allowed to see Taehyung and even then my father didn't find about him until years later. Unless-" Y/n shut the book and set it down on the desk, muttering to herself.

"Unless what baby?" Namjoon had place his hand on her hip, raising an eyebrow at her. Y/n turned to him, holding up the same book about the wolf who lived in a village.

"Your mother might know. My mother was the one who sent her free before father could find out about her. Though I'm not sure what happened after that, since when me and Taehyung got separated we never really knew what happens to her. Hopefully she knows where my mother is. It's worth a shot at least." Y/n gave a weak smile, handing the book to him. Namjoon looked down at the book before taking it from her hands. He was unsure about this plan as well.

"Alright. I'll look up the village and see what I can find. Meanwhile, you should dig more about this gang your father used to ran apparently even your mother." Namjoon let out a weak chuckle, sitting back down on the desk. Y/n let an airy laugh, pecking his lips once more.

"Of course love-"

"Hey Noona?" Y/n turned her head, seeing Taehyung open the door. Namjoon as well looked over at the lion. He looked confused and a bit scared.

"What is it honey?"

Taehyung scratched behind his ear with a hard swallow. Suddenly Jimin and Jungkook pushed Taehyung aside and ran towards Y/n and Namjoon. Jimin hugged Y/n tightly with wide eyes, while Jungkook hugged Namjoon, tears spilling from his eyes. He was crying, shaking like a leaf. This immediately put both of them on alert.

"Taehyung what happened?" Both Y/n and Namjoon said at the same time. Taehyung gulped, pointing towards the main door. His own ears pinned behind his head.

"There's this wolf outside-" Taehyung shuddered which concern them both. Y/n held Jimin's hand as she walked towards Taehyung who looked equally as frightened. Y/n gently rubbed his arm in a soothing way.

"Hey. It's okay honey, tell me, what's wrong?" Y/n spoke softly. Namjoon had now gotten up, and was carrying the small rabbit. It seem like Jungkook refused to leave Namjoon's side, even go as far as being carried. Taehyung nodded, leaning into her hand the moment it came in contact with his cheek.

Y/n was deeply concerned, something was making them afraid to the pint they couldn't even speak. Shaking and even crying. Y/n need to know so she could give that person a piece of her mind. No one should ever dare make her loved ones cry. But his next words where nothing that Y/n or Namjoon would expect.

It's like they were stuck on this carousel, everything coming back in one big circle.

"There's an alpha outside, and he says he's Namjoon's father."
