We arrive at hunting grounds.Prey lurks in small holes and some may lurk in shadows."Bet,I can catch more prey than you!"Sandpaw challenged."Your on!"I spat."Doesn't matter who gets more prey,what matters is clan cat bellies are filled with prey!"Brightfur said.Brightfur crouched,Showing a Hunter crouch.The two apprentices copied the crouch.Moonpaw spotted a squirrel nibbling on seed.She dash at it,trapped it by it tail with her paw,gave it,a killing bite on neck.Sandpaw had a Robin linger in his jaw."We both did great!!"I spoke.Sandpaw nodded with pride and agreement.Then yowl echoed,The cats ran in direction,seeing a snake,it had bitten Poppyclaw!Poppyclaw wobbled,unable to balance,near him,was river.He slipped into river.Then He vanish,Poppyclaw was dead.His redish fur comsumed by river.

Poppyclaw POV
I was out for a walk,my mate was expecting,my kits!I was gonna catch tasty prey for my mate.I caught a mouse.I saw a narrow creature,It moved.I didn't see it,until I stepped on it.The narrow create was snake,it quickly flew at me,bit me on my neck.Venon spreading like fire,the great Angony singed my body.My vision was blurry.I saw few of my clanmates,before River comsumed me.I knew..I was edge of death,sorry kits..I can't be your father.I can't be there for my mate.Starclan took me..away.
