*heartfire used to be a soldier, he worked his way up the ranks when he was younger, and then eventually retired from that and took a quieter government job. idk he probably had some big dramatic love affair when he was thirty and never got over it.

*vigilance and allknowing dated when they were in high school, it was very dramatic and they never spoke of it again

*darkstalker has just invented a lot of fun, goofy shit like one day he's inventing the steam engine and sometimes he comes out of his office after eight hours like "i call it... the toaster waffle"

*clearsight has literally had to stop him from releasing too many magic inventions into the world bc he essentially drop kicked nightwing society from the fifteenth century to the nineteenth (and would have gone further) in a few years and that's a lot. he's just been sitting on the idea for a landline phone system or the submarine for like five years djfjfjjf

*she won't stop him from giving them, like an stove and a microwave and shit like that though, so as a result their house is just casually futuristic, the first time brightmind came over and saw they had heated water or refrigeration they probably lost their mind

*yeah in that vein, darkstalker accidentally started the industrial revolution??? like that's why the nightwings have capitalism and are so much more dependent on currency, because he basically shoved them from the fifteenth century or to this super advanced economy and didn't realize what he did until it was too late lmao

*i like to think whiteout has a super successful career in the background of all this, like she's one of the night kingdoms most celebrated artists, she's doing very good and i'm proud of her!!!

*this is super random and don't ask how i thought of this, but since dragons canonically have toothbrushes, i like to think shadowhunter just refused to let anyone brush her teeth when she was little, and eventually dark and clear gave up because she would just kick and scratch and squirm to the point of causing injury (like if you've ever brushed a cats teeth, basically that) so they just enchanted her toothbrush to, at a certain time, brush her teeth, but they didn't tell her they did it or that that wasn't normal. so every night she would get ready to do battle with the toothbrush and make its job as hard as possible, like:

shadowhunter, with a paper bag over her head, and pretend chain mail armour, hiding behind the couch with a toy dagger: ha! mom, look, that stupid toothbrush will never get me now!

clearsight, trying not to laugh: uh huh, great job sweetheart!!!

anyway one day she just asked brightmind what their strategies for avoiding their magic flying toothbrush were, and they just looked at her like "wtf was your childhood" and then she had to go home and yell at her parents a bit
